Staying mid-week is a dream! Everything always goes very smoothly. Friendly staff, continental breakfast, comfortable rooms, sometimes even a free upgrade! I stayed once on the weekends and though the hotel was more crowded and difficult to get a cab from (because of the night club on the rooftop), I would still recommend it. The rates are good for NYC...

Yes the title will represent this hotel, Went there last month and stayed for 6 night. I would say the staff are very helpful and full of smiles, the room is good enough for a hotel outside Manhattan, clean and roomy. two thumbs up for their service. Yes, unfortunately this hotel is in a dodgy location, don't walk around at...

I have just come back from the Ravel this week and had to write a review. The hotel is approx. 40 minutes to an hour and 20 minutes from JFK depending on the time of day you travel. We landed at 4pm so we hit the rush hour traffic and the price for a taxi to JFK was $40. The...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ravel Hotel for 5 nights (28th Nov 2011) for a sightseeing/shoping trip to NYC. First of all, I would like to mention that all the staff at this hotel are wonderful and without them I would of given this place a 1 rating! So thank you all ravel staff for your hospitality. The...

We booked far in advance and were pleasently surprised when we arrived. The accomodation needs a little renewing but the staff are all extremely friendly and very knowledgable. The free shuttle to and from the subway is excellent and runs into the late evening so no worries about safety. Cocktails in the bar at penthouse 808 are fab too!

This hotel is located in the heart of an industrial area, however the views from my room were indeed spectacular. Looking over onto Manhattan lights was great. If you are seeking a different New York experience, maybe this is the hotel for you. This hotels hosts a nightclub on the fifth floor, which is sometimes rented out for private parties....

Drugs? so unless you want to get high you probably won't like it! Yes it was clean and the cleaners did a good job. Be prepared to be SCAMMED, the manager was rude, he was a complete liar, we made a SIMPLE complaint, and the manager was rude and had a smug face after disrespected us, (but the other staff...

While planning our trip to NYC in October 2011 we knew that we were going to be faced with high prices for Hotel rooms. We decided to look outside of Manhattan and found the Ravel. We were a bit hesitant because of the area but it was mainly industrial and the walk to the subway took only about 10 minutes...
