I loved my stay at this Hostel. I admit I was nervous at first staying in a room shared by others that I don't know and being alone on the trip but it was great. I shared a room with 5 other girls and the girls were wonderful. They stayed to themselves, were respectful and quite. The room was small...

I had a private room with no TV. A bit overpriced with zero accommodations. It was clean but the 24-hr-subway noise was unbearable! For a hostel, this place did not have a lively environment and everyone kept to themselves.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your review. First, let me apologize for the noise coming from the rails. Q4 is adjacent to most major train lines making access around NYC quite easy. We are aware of this issue and are actively looking for ways to lessen the noise. We are in the process of upgrading our private rooms, tv's...

I don't do things by halves so having turned 30 and never travelled alone before, I decide there to spend a month alone in New York City. I had stayed in a couple of hostels in the UK before just for one night after a gig etc but never abroad. The USA doesn't have a backpacking scene like that you...

1) Airport - Q4 It's a LONG overdue review, but it's never too late to share my experience. I regret that I have to start with a not so amazing flight journey from Ted Stevens Anchorage to LaGuardia, but it's nobody's fault. I arrived in New York at around 11.20pm, which was 12 hours later than my original schedule, and...

The q4 hostel was my first hostel to stay in. I picked it purely because of its cheap prices and due to this expected it to be terrible. However I was extremely surprised, Located one subway stop from central Manhattan makes it worth staying here, Not to mention the amazing atmosphere, lounge, open mic nights, friendly staff, good kitchen, pool...

Location: You'll be across the bridge in Queens which is kindve away from most of the action. In hindsight I would've booked something more central. As a girl travelling by myself I didn't feel super safe coming back to the hostel late at night. Cleanliness: Was pretty clean. Helpfulness: I did not find the staff helpful nor enthusiastic, they made...

Since the subway is close this is a good deal, location not being a factor (apart for its ugliness). There is a kitchen fully equipped with a lot of space, but the food store is not nearby (I had to bike 10 min to go to the Key food). Wifi is good. I appreciated a lot the fact that the...

The best of this place is the location. Next to the subway station and just 15min to manhattan by subway. You have few places to eat something nice next to the hotel like in Queen's & Paupers (we went twice here). Room was for 8 people with a shared bathroom. Bring a padlock with you. Pillows unconfortable. A bit noisy...

The price of this hostel and the location were the main pulling points for staying here and I definitely wasn't disappointed. The hostel was perfectly clean, the kitchen area was supplied with all the basics you could need. The staff are friendly and helpful and it's a short metro ride into the city. I couldn't ask for more for the...
