Stayed here last week on business. Two rooms. Was quoted $165.00 per night for 2 adults, 2 rooms. When I mentioned they were on the web for $135.00 night she stayed "Oh we can do that". First room still had previous bed unmade. Second room was hot and really musty smelling. When we went to checkout there was a note...

A grand old house with a first floor wrap-around porch this is a welcoming and comfortable place. Walked in only to see what it had to order and were pleasantly surprised at the style of rooms and their airiness with warm colors and large windows. A couple of rooms have balconies and all have free wifi. The dining room is...

Three cool things; three not so hot things and three really hot things. 1. Best porch in Millerton, cool breeze, beautiful view 2. Wonderful bedding 3. Nice mix of Victorian rooms with edgy art. 4. No TV in rooms 5. House cleaning 3x in 6 day, kept leaving a list of things needed. Asked Toilet paper and were brought less...

Until the White Hart in Salisbury opens at the end of August, this small inn is the best around in terms of proximity to attractions and nearby schools. Having visited all of them at one time or another,we have found all the nearby motels and inns to be lacking in the basic amenities, smelling of mold and expensive for what they...

We stayed at this charming home back in the early fall of 2013. These owners were accomodating, yet unobtrusive. Well kept, clean, low key; and run by honest people. We departed very early for a flight out of LaGuardia and I left behind a photography kit bag with lots of camera gear. We were on the plane and pushing back...

I never write bad reviews but this one deserves it. The new ownership is horrible. To start, over the course of 5 days I didn't receive one clean towel or any housekeeping. For the price of almost $200 a night you'd think breakfast would be served since it is a B&B but I had NOTHING. Not ever a piece of...

I am reluctant to write this review because I fear our secret Inn will be discovered, but it deserves to be, so here's the scoop: No. 9 used to be Simmon's Way, a frilly, chintz-filled place that was never on our radar as a place to stay when we wanted a nice weekend upstate. I had looked at the rooms...

We stayed at the No. 9 Restaurant and Inn in Millerton while visiting our son in boarding school close by. It is conveniently located right in the center of the town - situated on a small hill away from the road. Plenty of off street parking is available. There are 7 or 8 rooms upstairs - all with private baths...

Saw this beautiful home sitting atop a high lot in Millerton, NY; it just looked so inviting. Easy to book online,we stayed two days and were able to walk to restaurants, the movie theater, art galleries, etc. It's a clean home with comfortable beds. Nice continental breakfast; the property has a restaurant onsite as well. All in all, a pleasant...

We love Millerton and were planning to stay at the Simmons Way Inn for the weekend. The location of the inn is great right on the main street of the village, steps to all of the little stores and restaurants. And the inn looks so beautiful and inviting. However, I've been trying to make a reservation for the last three...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Period American charm enhanced with a touch of European tradition and tranquility. Accommodations are thoughtfully designed to offer a pleasurable experience from a time when detail was important and appreciated. Guests frequently return “home” to Simmons’ Way and heartily recommend it to others – the best compliment! All rooms are uniquely and comfortably decorated and have private bath. Sleep in one of our nine beautiful and spacious rooms, each with private bath, most with queen size bed. Choose a room with a canopy bed, a private porch, or an over-sized bathtub. Breakfast choices include farm-fresh free-range eggs, our special Apple or Blueberry Pancakes or French toast with pure maple syrup. Bacon and sausage as well as fruit are always available. No. 9, the restaurant, is located within the inn. It is currently the "go to" dining place in the region. The location is conveniently close to all of the arts, activities and festivals in the Berkshires, Litchfield County, CT, and the Hudson Valley of New York. The area back roads and the Harlem Valley Rail Trail make this a great destination for bicyclists. By car or rail, just two hours from New York City. ... more   less

“We've stayed at the inn on multiple occasions and the three rooms we stayed in were all lovely. Two of the rooms we stayed in had couches, which made for a lovely place to sit and read. The Inn is set far back from the street, so all rooms were quiet.”
