I wasn't looking for the Waldorf Astoria, I was looking for what Montauk represents...relaxation and a stress-free vacation. I called the Harborside at the last minute ( try finding any accomodations in Montauk during peak season at the last minute...not probable !!) Well, my wife and I got a room for the weekend. Making reservations was hassle-free. Rate was more...

A very clean and adequate motel. Walking distance to gossman's dock. The fact that they would allow a 1 night stay on a weekend in June was the selling point. very reasonable price for Montauk. 2 negatives; 1-People going up and down the creaky noisy stairs late into the night, the wife did'nt even notice. 2- Hot water ran out...

Well this was booked with no real idea of what was at Montauk, just that it was at the end of Long Island. We drove there stopping at various locations along the way and got there in the dark. The guy that checked us in was nice enough but didn't want to be engaged in conversation - that's ok! Our...

The lady that answers the reservation line was extremely rude and even hung up on me. I never write reviews unless they are positive but I thought that this case warrented action.

My 9 year old daughter and I just returned from a 4 day stay in Montauk. We stayed at the Harborside and it was perfect. The rooms were VERY clean and well kept. The decor was plain but updated bathroom, efficiency kitchen, beds and carpeting made the room comfortable and welcoming. The pool was beautiful and pristine. My daughter spent...

Being a first-timer planning my visit to Montauk, I researched several hotels/motels in the area and found Harborside to be the most affordable and accommodating of all. Believe me... there were rude hotel managers at other places offering weekend rates at ridiculous prices. In fact, some of these had no pool, no direct access to the beach, nothing to really...

This was our 2nd time at the Harborside and we have always found it to be very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

The price is decent, the facility pleasant, the rooms clean, and the innkeeper, Merle, could not be more friendly or helpful. However, the two things that are most important in overnight lodging are a comfortable bed and a hot shower; if I was willing to go without those things, I'd go camping. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable...

I am a traveller from the Caribbean who visited the beautiful town of Montauk accompanied by my associates from London and Europe. We were referred to the Harborside by a colleague and found this very reasonable accommodation nestled near the Harbor. Significantly the service and general hospitality of the Manager (Merle) and staff exceeded our expectations and augered well for...

We have been coming here for several years and love it. The staff is very friendly. The rooms have been updated since last year. If you are looking for something that is not in the center of town, quiet and personable, this is it. We have met many other travellers and all have been very nice. If you want loud,...
