Nice property. Rooms are large as is the bathroom. Food was good. Contactess check in all fine. We stayed in Hanlon Room. Room itself was quite large, though no closets or drawers.. The room claims to have a private bathroom (which it does),,just not in the room. So if you have go use the bathroom in the middle of the night, hopefully you do not wake anyone sleeping while you open, close and re open the door to your room! Bathroom locks from the inside, thus anyone could theoretically enter the bathroom from the outside. We kept our towels in our room for this reason( during covid). Room was freezing at night. Space heater was filthy. Now about the owner. We stayed 2 nights. She never introduced herself. Never inquired if we needed anything (recommendations of things to do.etc). As for the cold room, the note in the room said only to contact her before 7pm unless it is an emergency.. Place has potential. I think the reviews for Anna are from her friends, family and neighbors though. Run like a business, not the charm of a B&B.

We are sorry your stay needed a little more TLC. We are trying our best in the time of Covid to make everyone comfortable and most importantly safe. As a result we don’t get the chance to interact as we normally would but in the end we feel that the safety and health of all our guests is the most important thing. We are always happy to address issues with temperature to the best of our ability especially with regards to turning the AC down in the Summer.

Enjoy the gardens. Enjoy the history. Dine indoor or out in the garden or on the wide porch. Meals made when you order. Fresh fruits, spicy chicken and waffles were great. Soup, sandwiches and desserts available. Relaxed atmosphere. Don't stop here if you are in a hurry.

This is a lovely, historic B&B in the quiet town of Montgomery. We were looking for accommodations not too far from Bethel Woods and this was a nice find. Comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and quiet back patio area for relaxing. We stayed in the Isabella room in the 200 year old+ part of the house and yes it was smaller (it was probably a big room by 1790 standards) than others but it's the less expensive option, too. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Town also had a dozen or so restaurants within a five minute walk. Parking on street was plentiful.

The Innkeeper, Larry, was very nice and made us feel comfortable. The room and bathroom was well-appointee and clean. Breakfast was delicious! I see why they advertise as a “brunch house” also. Would definitely recommend. Walking distance to some shops, a spa, yoga studio and some great restaurants.

I stayed at The Borland House because I was stopping in town for business. All I can say is wow! I had the Isabella room, which I loved because it was cute and antique. The staff, who were very attentive and courteous, told me it was the oldest room in the house and I thought that was cool. The house itself is just beautiful and the property is managed nicely. Breakfast was included in my stay and wow. The waitress suggested the French toast because the blueberries were nice and sweet. She was right! I just wish I could have stayed longer. Cheers, Thank you!
