Hyatt Place Niagara Falls garners a mix of feedback, with many guests praising its prime location near the Falls and local attractions. However, some visitors have pointed out inconsistencies in cleanliness and service, which somewhat tarnishes its reputation. While the rooms are generally appreciated for their comfort, issues with maintenance have been a concern. The hotel's amenities and atmosphere, including a relaxing vibe and a happy hour on the roof, are highlights, although critiques about limited amenities and additional fees suggest the value could be better aligned with the overall experience.

I had a very nice 4-night stay for a conference. If I come back to Niagara Falls, I’d be happy to come back here. Check in was quick and easy. I always request a room far away from elevators and ice machines when booking hotel rooms. This hotel obliged! I stayed in the lovely large room 529 with a view of the Niagara Falls State Park. You can’t see the actual falls from this room due to the beautiful mature trees in the park, but you can see the mist emanating from the falls above the trees, the Canadian skyline, and the nightly fireworks show over the falls. The room was clean and smelled fresh. There was NO mold, dust, bugs, hairs, or garbage from previous guests. The bed was comfy and had lots of pillows. The thermostat was in the room and it controlled the temperature appropriately. The blackout shade totally blocked any outdoor light for nice, dark sleeping conditions. The fridge, coffee pot, and television worked just fine. I liked the various electronics charging, seating (including a couch!), and lighting options in the room. The toiletries smelled nice. I am a very light sleeper. I had my white noise machine with me for sleep time and did not hear any hall or neighboring room sounds while sleeping. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of everything - i.e., all the tourist things to do are within a 7-minute walk. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Parking was convenient – a garage across the hotel with ample spaces even during peak season that you could come and go from as needed. The conference rooms, water, food, and seating were great. Well done Hyatt Place Niagara Falls!

From arrival to departure we were given top notch service. Christine at the front desk was wonderful and made sure that we got a room with an amazing view of the city. She was so helpful with everything, in fact the whole staff was very accommodating
and super friendly.
The Hotel was clean and updated and is within walking distance to the American Falls, many restaurants and the border. I highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to staying here again on our family trip back in the Summer.

I dont travel often or stay in hotels often either. This was comparable to a stay i had in a Swissotel in chicago. I had a King suite, room 402. I was able to see some of the other king suites on the same floor cause we had a group deal for my friends wedding. All of the rooms are equipped with the same fixtures and furniture, but 402 was at the end of the hall of the 4th floor, so the layout was slightly different. honestly was my favorite room, the way the desk was more of an L shapped desk instead of just being against the wall, the couch on the other side, and then the king sized bed was partitioned off to the left, which made it feel like i had some kind of a special room. I guess i just like small differences.

I loved that people were allowed to bring their pets with them, especially in the middle of such a terrible storm.

Staff is super nice. everyone is very friendly, even the ladies cleaning the rooms where nice, would smile as i walked passed them, even say hello and smile, they'll ask if im enjoying my stay. Its so much more organic than the stereotype of a grumpy cleaning lady.

With the group code i had the rate for my one night stay in the hotel was extremely affordable for a king suite, i recommend getting a room with a group deal cause its a top quality experience at an affordable price

If I could give zero stars I would. I had hoped for a better experience at this Hyatt location. The hotel has seen it share of guests and it shows in the rooms.

From the first several minutes I had to go down to the front desk and ask for the basics which included towels, washcloths and facial tissue.

The workout room is one area we always use on our trips and unfortunately there were no wipes to sanitize the equipment after working out. Again, I had to go to the front desk and ask for wipes. The gentleman there had to ask the manager and she said it was okay. Don't know why but come on all the other Hyatts we stayed at provided that in the bin in the workout room.

The last item was the bedding for the pullout sofa. We are a family of 5 and always use the pullout sofa for one of our kids and this hotel did not even have any of that available! Again I went downstairs because NOBODY was answering the phones at the front desk. In fact there was a time when I went down there and nobody was at the desk but there was someone there with earphones and looking at her phone. I did not see a tag on her but when a maintenance man came from around the corner and told her I was waiting she looked up and came over. She then told me someone would be with be shortly...then the gentleman who checked us in came through the front doors

The other thing was the shower head was a complete bust...no pressure and when you tried to turn it to hot or cold the whole thing came out from the wall!

Now I do get that people want to smoke at every chance they can but when you have a group of people on the roof patio waiting to see watch the fireworks at 10pm one should be courteous to those around..nobody wants second hand smoke. There were children, seniors who were just hoping to catch the display but one lady was puffing in the corner and unfortunately it was hitting everyone. Same person was outside during checkout smoking as we were waiting for our vehicle since it was parked in the garage across the street.

While departing I did ask for my complimentary water since we did not get it upon check in and I was told it would be billed to my account. I declined...should have just grabbed it from their in house store. I am sure nobody would have noticed. I saw an older guest do that earlier in the day and thought hmmm .

Unfortunately for the price we paid I would have stayed at another location. There was too many disappointing things at this hotel. Stay away!

Unfortunately I am writing this email to express my disappointment during our stay.

First of all we checked in at around 6 pm. We had to wait because the rooms were not ready yet.
We booked 2 rooms for 3 guests in each room and there were no pillows or sheets for the sofa beds. We expected these to be ready, but we were told we have to do it ourselves. We had to wait around 30 minutes to get the sheets and pillows for the sofabeds, in the meantime we noticed that the toilet was clogged. They sent the cook to assist us with these 2 issues because there was nobody else available. We went out and we came in after 10:30 pm and wanted to take a shower and the handle came off. We called reception in the morning and eventually they replaced it. The tv in both rooms 526 and 524 has a blue light, it looks like you are looking at smurfs. On top of all, this morning when we were checking out we found out that we were charged 10 dollars daily for the parking. When we checked in, the klerk did not inform us about the fee at any moment. We asked where we could park and he explained where and that the hotel will validate the parking, but at any time did he mention this will be charged to the room.
Lastly we requested to freshen up our rooms during our stay and this only happened one time. On the second day the personnel hung up a sign on our door that said "Later would be better", and nobody ever came.

At the end of April we stayed at a Hyatt hotel in Miami and we were very pleased with the quality, we expected because this is a hotel chain, that this will be reflected anywhere, but our stay at your hotel was very disappointing.

This hotel is a great location. It is walking distance to the welcome center.
The breakfast is no longer free at $11 per a person but food was exceptional.
Parking across the street in the garage is a bit erie especially taking the elevator. It also comes at a discounted rate.
We were very dissatisfied that the room did not meet our expectations.
It was not cleaned. Our kids found socks left on the floor from the previous occupancies as well as hair on the bathroom floor. The area around and under couch looks like it has never been vaccumed because of the build up of dust. This is not acceptable considering Hyatt standards in comparison to other previous Hyatt stays.
I am a bit disappointed with our stay and may have to consider other hotel options if cleanliness is taking a nose dive when vacationing.

We stayed on Aug 3-5 in this Hyatt property. Location is top notch as everything is within a short walk. Parking is at the opposite building (Falls Parking Garage), you need to have the parking ticket scanned at the front desk to have it validated and to get a discounted rate.

Customer Service in the afternoon when we checked in was superb, very accommodating and attentive to our needs, even giving us some recommendations, breakfast options are typical of a Hyatt property.

Now, the not so good experience part, early morning of Aug 4 (around 5am), I tried to go out of the building just to check what's around and if the weather is nice, just trying to explore so to speak, I passed by the front desk and there were two people there, I tried to ask if my booking includes a meal as I heard a day prior that not all bookings include meal and I didn't see it stipulated in my reservation, so, I asked just to make sure if we have breakfast included in our stay, one person who was always on his phone, made a comment, "if it's not in your booking, then breakfast is not included" and was told in a bit rude manner to my observation, and I was a bit caught off guard, no need of that tone early in the morning, anyhow, the older gentleman was very accommodating, he offered to check their system and asked for our room number to which I obliged, he then confirm that breakfast was included in our booking and he explained to the "phone fanatic person" that it's included since we booked before May 1, or something to that effect. That was the first "not so good" encounter.

On Aug 5, when we are to check out, as we head back to NJ and PA, we intentionally started checking out early (530am), this time though, only the "phone fanatic person" was there, as usual, he was on his phone routine when we stopped by, and since we are early checking out, we asked if there's a way we can have a to go breakfast, (I know in some hotels like IHG hotels offer this where they have a small bag where you can grab and go, specifically for those travelling early and not able to get to the 630am breakfast schedule.)

And the usual stern reaction from this "phone fanatic person" "Nope! You can't take any breakfast for to go, should only be available by 630 or 7am, even a coffee to go not possible even the breakfast area is somewhat ready already. Anyway, we obliged as we already had an encounter the prior day which we didn't like so, off we go.

All we can say is, if that type of person will be assigned at your front desk during a busy check in/out hours, you will definitely lose some customers.

Some work ethics can't be taught, just unfortunate that we experienced that especially since we just came from another Hyatt Place/House in New Jersey where customer service was superb.

At any rate, we will probably stay at this Hyatt Place but would surely avoid that person next time around if given a chance.

Hotel is perfectly located directly next to the park and the Falls. Breakfast was provided and the dining room could get quite busy during popular times. The room was as expected. Service was not great -- our request for having our room cleaned daily fell on multiple deaf ears. The cleaning situation was finally resolved, but should not have taken multiple requests to several people over multiple days to address. Most (not all) of the front desk staff were clearly not interested in customer service. If this hotel were not situated where it was, would not be worth it.

When I booked this hotel on the Hyatt website, I was very excited, photos looked so nice.
But when I arrived at night, I first thought it was a mistake. The operator at the lobby (young student) was not friendly and assigned me a bad location not matching with what I specified while booking (high floor and quiet): just next to the street, first floor and with a huge outdoor screen in front of the unique window. I had to insist to change my room and the new one they gave me had the curtains not working/opening, meaning keeping us with no daylight nor night view. Very disappointing for a Hyatt hotel!
Good points are the indoor pool and the location near the falls, walking distance (but I would really recommend anyone to book an hotel on the Canadian side, with a great view on the falls).
We also had dinner and breakfast: poor food and poor service, we had the feeling to bother the waiters.

3 nights stay. Hyatt Place at Niagara Falls, NY.
This place is at a great location, close to the falls, with many restaurants in the area. Hotel Room is spacious but there was a lingering stench in the room. The stairs to the parking lot is run down, filthy, dark and creepy.
Second day we went out in the morning, when we came back at night, we found our room as we left it in the morning. No housekeeping was done. Room/ Bathroom were not cleaned, beds not made/ linens and towels not changed, trash not picked up! When we called the front desk, they sent few towels to the Room.
*The guy who came with the towels said, a house keeper had quit that day and that’s why cleaning was not done!!!!
*Night Auditor at front desk apologized, an d said, housekeeping should have been done.
*Spoke with front desk day Manager Christine, she did not seem concerned, nor kind, and stated we “should have requested for housekeeping” They do housekeeping only if requested.
All these 3 employees had different versions of excuse!
Dear Hyatt place, please keep your employees on the same page at least.
This experience added stress to our stay and took away some of the vacation spirit.

The hotel utilizes the parking garage across the street. There was plenty of space on the upper floors when we were there a week ago. They also let a few people with large campers park right in their driveway near the entry doors of the hotel. Assuming those would it fit in the garage. I would call the hotel and ask.
