Absolutely one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been in some weird places. Stay far away! No hot water, broken TV, landlines in room don’t work (which is a safety violation). No one is ever at the front desk. Bad.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Safety concerns. This is genuinely the most filthy, disgusting and unsafe place I’ve ever had the displeasure of setting foot into in my 32 years on this planet. Please let me tell you about my trip. I arrived with my family as part of a Tour group from Sydney, and it was trouble before we even set foot in the door. It’s right next to run down graffiti covered houses a couple of doors down with boarded up windows, the area it’s in is extremely unsafe. Our tour guide warned us not to walk to the streets or leave the hotel after sundown. It’s advertised as a short walk to the falls. It’s not. Nothing was prepared, no room keys, the check in process was exceedingly slow. staff do not speak English well. Sub basement floor, I leaned the door and it opened immediately, no key or handle, thought it a fluke, it wasn’t. The smell nauseating. Fish. I pulled out the chair to take a seat. It was covered in stains soaked into the fabric. I pulled the door shut behind me making sure it was closed before pressing on the door again. It opened. The security lock, broken. Room door has been kicked in and the room robbed before. Front desk, offered a refund then retracted it. People complaining given dirty unmade rooms, another room had a blocked toilet, another no working lights. Front desk insisted that “he just works here” no explanations for broken and unclean rooms. His wife and daughter then returned from grocery shopping. He screamed at her about unclean rooms.multiple complaints had come in about cleanliness, his family live in and operate this hotel. He lied to guests to avoid taking responsibility. All in front of customers. New room, holes in the roof and curtains were stained. Cockroach in bathroom. Tap is broken. Blood and snot is stuck to the shower curtain. A pubic hair. Stuck to the bathroom wall. This bathroom hasn’t been cleaned at all. Discovered the side door to the rooms. Direct access to the hallways where the rooms are. It was still unlocked and open to the public at midnight. Anybody can enter off the street, this entrance unmonitored. Another broken door part on the floor. This place is broken into a lot. Probably by the inhabitants from the surrounding broken down homes. Can feel holes in the floor underneath the carpet. Hallways are riddled with cobwebs and spiders. The tvs are analogue and my aunts didn’t even turn on. My mothers room had blood on the sheets and my aunt had a dirty ice bucket full of someone else’s old water. No plastic bag. Mould growing under the rim of the sink and floors have dirt accumulated in all corners. Thin ceilings mean that you can hear talking and walking above you. Lights stopped working in the middle of the night. Then turned back on after a few hours. Faulty wiring. Bed squeaky and uncomfortable. I hope that this stops you from booking this hotel it’s everything from broken, run down, old, and grimy to unsafe and inhospitable. I hope that this review saves you from having to experience this place yourself. Beware and stay away.

The only reason I rented at this property was due to multiple good reviews. I could tell from the pictures that it was an older hotel but the reviews swayed me. I should have known better. The first red flag was walking into the very tiny office and seeing things just stacked in all the corners. No elevator was the next thing we ran into but far from the last. We reserved two rooms. One for us and one for my daughter's family. The chair in our room literally looked like it had been pulled from a dump. The curtains looked 40 years old and were dirty. Stains on the walls. The comforter and sheets had urine stains and what appeared to be blood stains. The bathroom had hair in the floor and shower. We ended up removing all covers from the bed except the cleanest looking sheet and sleeping on top. My daughter's room was even worse. The linens were so bad on their beds that they had management come up to try to resolve the problem. They could not and had to move them to another room. It was still not good but was at least a little better. The hotel seems to have made some effort on replacing some room fixtures like lights, faucets but they desperately need to spend some money upgrading things that actually touch a person's body. Linens, covers, pillows, floor, etc. The only reason I give this hotel any rating at all was because the staff was friendly and made an effort to help but the place was "filthy". In hindsight, I wish I had spent the extra $100 to stay down the street!

Rooms were nice and clean. Close to falls and other attractions. Not enough parking for the hotel guests was a daily struggle to back into a spot. Staff would stop talking when you walked into the same area as them and look at you like you was going to steal something. Kids loved the pool easy to find the rooms. Big refrigerator no microwave no coffee pot. Had bags of chips and cans of soda from front desk when they had it. Hard to get clean towels and trash bags from the room cleaners when you saw them. No other vending in hotels take your own snacks.

The first impression of the hotel and its surroundings is very depressing. There is no lobby, no elevators, everything is dark and old, pool area is so dirty and small. I have to be fair and say that the room was OK, and location is convenient to Niagara park. The worst experience was with breakfast - food is very limited, not fresh ( see the picture of cream cheese), not enough place for people to seat. Only if you are on a very tight budget go to this hotel, otherwise, find something else

I had to cancel less than a day before my arrival due to a positive covid test (I sent the test results as proof)! I tried to reach the hotel but no one answered! Unfortunately, they did not respond and denied helping me. There was a person in reception that responded to my calls very rudely and tried to put a blame on me ignoring my situation. They did not respond to emails from booking.com and me. They wanted to charge me fully despite having a cancellation policy and my communication before check-in time and did not consider my case (COVID positive!!!!). I do not recommend this place. They do not respond and literally try to rub you. Worse experience!!!! I wish I could give them a negative star!

The room was nice size and clean. The property is a converted motel. They have free breakfast and good parking. Location was a little far from the falls but across the street from the Casino. The walls were thin. We stayed here 2 nights and it was fine. No complaints! It wasn’t a 5 star resort but fit our needs just fine. I read the other reviews and was a little nervous booking this property in advance. But it was worth the money and I would stay here again.

This review is for EVERYONE who is wondering if they should stay here or not based on ALL the up and down reviews. Bottom line...If you have money, stay elsewhere. If you are used to the BIG chain hotels, stay elsewhere because you will NOT like this hotel. Pros: Price, Location, Restaurant on site, Pool, some breakfast foods, NO bugs or bad smells. Not dirty. 2nd floor was remodeled it seemed. Beds were comfortable. Fridge worked great. Cons: You CAN hear the walking of the people above you on 1st and 2nd floors loud enough to keep you awake. There is NO daily room service, you need to contact the front desk for new towels, garbage emptied, etc. Nobody EVER answers the front desk phone or is at the front desk, you need to press a buzzer at the front desk and wait. Breakfast is very limited. Bread left in loaf bags where everyone can touch it, 1 gallon milk everyone touches, 2 cereals, some small muffins, coffee and juice and the area is dirty and not maintained to accommodate the guests. Pool is very small. TV is not cable and has limited stations and some channels are blurry and most stations have a compressed screen while 3 channels have no sound. Restaurant is ONLY open thurs-sat 5pm to 9pm and ONLY has 6 tables in a very small room. Parking is limited if they are sold out or you come back too late at night. Water sometimes took 4 minutes to get hot. Microwave ONLY in breakfast area. Some reviews complained about humidity in bottom floor. There was a humidifier on 2nd floor and didn't feel humid but we couldn't comment on that issue on the 1st floor. No elevator but there is a wheelchair lift that takes you to the 1st floor (which is the basement level) not a true 1st floor. We had a credit card problem when we tried to check in which was eventually resolved after we called our 3 seperate banks and realized it was the hotel's system error. Overall it was OK and most would probably find it fine. Our rate for 4 nights was LITERALLY $500 to $800 cheaper then the 10 surrounding hotels I called and we still got a decent room and saw all the sights. Fix the TV stations, fix the squeaking floors above the 1st and 2nd floors, get soda/snack machines, keep the breakfast area stocked and clean and possibly add breakfast sandwiches and add more hours/days to the restaurant.
