Built by the Schoellkopf family to resemble the Bell Inn in Finedon, England, and named after the red carriage that brought General Marquis de Lafayette to Niagara Falls, the Red Coach Inn has been welcoming guests to Niagara Falls since 1923. Overlooking the spectacular Upper Rapids just 500 yards from the American Falls, the inn is Niagara’s most distinctive historic structure, with its English Tudor exterior and warm English country ambiance.

Hotel's Favourite
The Red Coach B&B is not only a place to stay, it's a romantic, historic hotel that brings the elegance of a time gone by and yet gives its guests a first class experience. Our room The Sheffield Suite was breathtaking the moment we walked into the main room. The king size bed is adorned with a canopy that looks onto the brass fireplace. A comfortable, cozy settee sits across from the fireplace. The room has a Bose player for atmosphere music, Keurig, and refrigerator. It also provides champagne and wine glasses! The food in the restaurant was excellent! We sat near the wood-burning fireplace for dinner and looked across the street at the Niagara river for breakfast. The hotel is across the street from Goat Island and walking distance to both views of the falls. We'll definitely visit again!

What a wonderful place to stay! We were greeted by the beautiful sounds of the rapids calling us, "come over and visit...now!!" With that spectacular view...we first had to stop in to get our keys to the room!! We open the door to 2 happy staff that were so excited to see us. They were a wealth of information about The Red Coach Inn and the area of Niagara Falls! Willing to answer any questions regarding attractions to see! We lived at the Westminster Room with a Hot Tub for 4 days! Easy access to the room from the parking lot. Microwave, coffee maker (using the round pods) with real coffee mugs and liquid creamers and a small refrigerator with 2 chilled glasses ready for use! You can make simple snacks and meals...if you need too! There's a fabulous restaurant at the Inn. We had free breakfast offered to us with our accommodations (main entrée and a drink) for the 4 days there. We had dinner with cocktails and Lunch there too. You must make reservations for dinner. Can not say enough about the Red Coach Inn! This is our second time here! The first time we were here...we stayed in a suite that overlooked the rapids...the view of the rapids was breathtaking! You are within walking distance (6-8 blocks) to most local attractions. But the rapids...will be the greeters of the visit for sure. They open the doors ...and can't wait to make memories with you! Enjoy!

The hotel is the perfect location from which to explore the falls. I went in the off season but did enjoy the stay. The hotel staff, though very busy, were absolutely amazing. They seem to have come from some mystical time in the past where hospitality workers knew their craft. I want to thank Heidi, Sandy and the whole team, grounds staff and the restaurant team too. The food was delicious and we took several meals there. I wish I could have stayed another few days. I will never stay at different hotel when I visit the falls. Red coach Inn or nothing. Wonderful people work there.

My wife wanted to take a famly trip to Niagara Falls in early March. When we found out that we were not allowed to travel to Canada (COVID restrictions still in effect), we booked a room at the Red Coach Inn on the NY side. We were *NOT* disappointed!! The pictures on their site of the rooms are dated and we were very pleasantly surprised at the modernizations made to the Niagara suite we stayed in. Two bedrooms was the perfect size. My wife's son (my stepson) stayed in his room and used the bathroom off the hallway (the one with the jaccuzzi tub... but we used that excellent tub, as well). My wife and I stayed in the "Master Suite" with our own bathroom (shower only) inside the suite. Bed was SUPER comfy... and the place was very quiet so getting a restful night sleep was always happening. The staff of the hotel are THE BEST!!! Super friendly AND helpful. It's so nice and refreshing to encounter staff that enjoys their work and go out of their way to make you feel like a true guest. And this is no exception for the wonderful staff of the restaurant. Every single meal we ate in the restaurant was ALWAYS delicious and cooked to perfection! I'm not just throwing out a line here, it's true! My step-son (age 12) was very impressed with the Red Coach Inn....and usually 12 year olds don't comment on things... but he kept telling me how much he loved staying in his own room in our suite and how the coffee maker in the room was "the best ever!" And if he liked the coffee, you KNOW it's good! Our room truly felt like we were in a nice home and not a typical hotel. My wife and I found that very refreshing . And... because the Niagara Suite faces the rapids, we would open the windows and just watch and listen. If it was cool out, we would turn on the gas fireplace (which generated a LOT of nice heat!). Leave it to this 50-something year old to not be able to find the "on" switch for the gas fireplace... and trust me I was looking everywhere. My step-son walked over and said, "here it is... on the side". Ok.. next time I'll wear my reading glasses to see a little better. Finally.... in our haste to check out on time and make the Amtrak train back to NYC, we left one of our smaller bags behind that had our medicines in it and some clothes. We received a call just as we boarded the train that housekeeping found our bag. We couldn't go back and get it. The wonderful staff of The Red Coach Inn took the time to box up our bag and ship it back to us. We were very pleased that they took the time to do that. And it's just another example of the excellent service you get at The Red Coach Inn. We plan on returning in the near future and you can "bet your bottom dollar" that we will definitely be staying in the Niagara Suite at the Red Coach Inn..... and here's a tip.... Look CLOSELY at the books on the shelves to the right of the fire place. You will find two journal books. The first was started by the staff of the hotel two decades ago and as you read through it, you find such interesting stories of the people that stayed in the room. The second journal was donated by us because the first one was filled up. We started the first entry of 2021 in the book (actually my step-son did... with the "caligraphy pen" he bought in the gift shop of the Old Niagara Fort.. so it's a little messy)... but after that is the entry my wife wrote.... so.... make sure you add to the book!
