The Wingate by Wyndham Niagara Falls delivers a mixed experience for its guests. While the hotel's location earns high marks for its closeness to the falls and attractions, travelers often express disappointment with the additional costs and feel the value doesn't match the price. Room conditions vary, with complaints about soundproofing and cleanliness overshadowing the larger room sizes. Amenities are deemed satisfactory, though issues like sparse towels and basic breakfast offerings are noted. Service quality is inconsistent, ranging from commendable staff interactions to frustrating housekeeping and responsiveness problems.

Our room was DISGUSTING. Greasy smeared hand prints above the bed on the wall. White stains and drop marks on the chair. Every surface was both greasy and sticky. There were disgusting hair balls floating around on the floor. Used toiletries left on the dirty counter. Black scum ring around the bathtub that I had to scrub off with a soapy washcloth. We left our shoes on even in the shower.
We talked to the front desk and when we came back to the room later all the housekeeper did was throw a trash bag full of toiletries on the counter with clean towels. Left the used toiletries from the previous guest.

Visiting Niagara Falls far a few days amid reopening upstate New York businesses due to Covid concerns. Rooms are nicer than the price charged but some of the amenities are not available. The discounted price seems to have attracted the riff-raff as the guests in the nearby rooms were boisterous and obnoxious until the wee hours. Slamming doors, hallway footraces, yelling, pounding on floors/walls, etc. Carpet not vacuumed, lots of accumulated dust under/behind furnishings. Non-functional lights in room. Expected better from this property.

Room is clean, location is in foot walking distance to Niagara Falls. That is probably why it is overpriced.
No room service even on request. If you want full assortment on breakfast come 7:30. One employee can not keep up with refills.
If you do not mind taking care of your trash and begging for shampoo refills it is fine.

The rooms are updated and spacious and it is a great location but that was the only perks. We wanted to check in around 2:00, but was told check in was at 3:00 and our room was being inspected after the cleaning, okay. We checked in a little after 3:00 to a room that was dirty (not sure how that got the okay.) The sheets and towels were clean, but the surfaces had food on it, cup rings, and even tooth paste splatters all over the mirrors, the list can go on. If the hotel is worried about the spread of covid, they should do a better job cleaning the rooms to start (signs asking everyone to wear their masks even if vaccinated.) I am an assistant manager at a hotel, and would never allow my guests to see a room like that. Also, instead of moving our rooms, the housekeeper came in and cleaned it in front of us (weird.) The head housekeeper was very apologetic (she was the only pleasant staff we encountered) and explained how the hotel was short staffed. Totally understandable! Maybe it would be better to block off some rooms to give the guests a higher quality experience rather than spreading your staff out thin and lowering your standards in the mean time.

The walls are thin, I heard everyone’s conversations and we heard the elevator dings all night. The breakfast is in a paper bag (covid) and has a banana, water, juice, and a type of pastry. That was a big disappointment considering the restaurant in the hotel was buffet styled.

We found at check in that we had been double charged and the front desk just looked at us and said "you didnt want 2 suites?" No, of course not. No offer to help, told us to go call the third party we booked from, and said someone in our party much have booked it twice. I am the ONLY adult in the party and I did not. Long struggle in the room to resolve, very stressing, wasted our precious little evening touring time. Really ruined our only evening there. Room wasn't very nice, dark, thin towels, hard cold floor, no bedding for sofa bed, one decorative strip on one bed, one missing, big nasty stains under the cushion of the chair, no attempt to clean it, it was really gross. AC/Heat wasn't turned on until we went back down to front desk and asked them why it wasnt working (but they never told us that this was necessary, we tried to control it for a while ourselves first, because we had never heard of this before. You would think they would turn AC/heat on when we checked in at least). Hotel smelled incredibly strongly of thick thick marijuana stench, gagging my kids in the halls. We had hoped to use the pool in the morning, but it was small and absolutely milky/cloudly, so I told the kids no. They charged us for parking in a huge, open, empty lot without ever telling us, and the "breakfast" was a sugary danish and apple juice thrown in a paper bag, without any regard for nutrition or peoples health and blood sugar concerns. We had to go and buy breakfast, after changing our reservation from another TO this hotel because they offered breakfast here. Every other hotel on our road trip that claimed to offer breakfast offered a real, nutritious breakfast with multiple options, whether it was eat in dining room or carry out. The only positives were that Marco at the front desk finally resolved the weird double booking, and that it was walking distance to the Niagra Falls Park. We do not recommend, and would stay elsewhere next time.

This is the worst hotel that I ever stayed on, first of all, they charged customer unknowingly for parking + parking tax + safe lock in the room.
Secondly, there is no sound proof in the rooms, you can hear the snoring sound of your neighbor rental room. Management doesn't even care to respond customers query.
In last, booking.com is the part of this scam, they will let you book and later ask to deal it with hotel (No one cares / No Work Ethics)
Overall, Save yourself from this scammers.

Hello Kapilm763, I apologize for any misinformation you received on our property. With the third party listings we do the best to inform the guests of every detail to their stay. There is a lot of information to take in from the sites and I know some things can go unnoticed. Please call the hotel directly and we can waive those fees as we do not want you to feel like we scammed you. I hope aside from these fees your stay was enjoyable and you had fun in Niagara Falls. Thank you, Nina

Even when prior to booking, we made sure of essential amenities like housekeeping, internet, breakfast etc., our multiple request for housekeeping (for 4 people in 1 room with 2 queen bed) were denied.

The internet was terribly slow. And they were short of staff. 1 guy used to cook food, and serve, refill and take our trash.

Door key kept malfunctioning and recepitionist was too rude and loud.

The hotel is in a great location. It's an easy walk to almost everything. The rooms are a generous size and fairly updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the rooms were dirty. There was dirt, food crumbs, hair and dust piles all over floor. Any flat surface such as chair/table supports were covered in a thick layer of dust. The window sheers had gross yellow stains on them. The 1st hand towel I picked up had some sort of brown crusty dirt on it and the 1st washcloth I picked up was the same. In the bathroom, there was a thick black layer of mold around the rim of the sink and mold in the shower. The toilet paper holders were hanging out of the wall. There was sort of dirty black smear on the back of the bathroom door as well. There was no place to hang any towels or wet items if you use the pool aside from the shower curtain rod so good luck if you have go with a family. The ice and beverage machines on our floor were also both down with no sign on them. I saw quite a few complaints about the continental breakfast as it wasn't disclosed that it would be handed to you in a sack and include an 8oz bottle of water, bottle of juice, a banana and some sort of prepacked muffin or donut. We were prepared for that and I brought my own food for breakfast and am not really a big breakfast person anyway but if you're expecting a normal continental breakfast, don't get your hopes up.

When we arrived at the property there was nobody at the front desk to greet us. When they finally showed up they were very unprofessional and unkept. They were also eating a sandwich at the front desk. We were then charged more than the booking.com price in US.
- [ ] When we got to our room the front entryway was sticky and dirty (like a drink had been spilled and not wiped up. The bathroom had half a roll of toilet paper and no extra rolls to replenish it in the bathroom. The fridge had an open chocolate milk and wrapped up food from the previous guests. When we advised the manager (Priscilla) of this she said she would address. We went out for the afternoon and the food was still there when we returned. The room also didn’t have a remote control for the TV and we had to go down to the front desk and ask for one. The staff was eating a frozen dinner at the front desk when we got down there. Hallways and elevator were dirty (water bottle caps on the floor and other garbage). No hand sanitizer in any of the dispensers throughout the hotel.
All in all not a pleasant stay and I would NOT recommend. Do yourself a favour and book a room at the Doubletree or Seneca and pay the extra!!

Unfortunately because of so many reasons we didn't have a good experience with our staying in this hotel. First of all it was really dirty and I hope at least they have changed the bed linen. The staffs were not friendly and responsive. There was no bottle of water in the room and we had to buy from the machine which was working only with CASH! The gym facilities were really poor and even one of them was broken. For 3 days no one came to clean the room or change the towels and after calling and asking so many time they just came and changed the towels! The breakfast quality was really poor and unfortunately the coffee flask was really dirty.

Absolutely, I would tell you to go to Niagarafallsusa. com and click on the menu, to outdoor activities, to fishing as there are several fishing charters that leave from our area all the time!

The onsite parking is outside. And yes plenty of room to get in and out of the parking spot.
