The location is excellent, and they accept pets. But the manager was so rude, because when we arrive the given room had the ceiling paint scratch and falling and she wasn't change it at the first time. The bathroom extractor grill was so dusty, the breakfast was ok, but the scrambled eggs was moisty and the wi-fi was very slow or inexistent by night.

Wonderful, save bathroom tile. We had a wonderful mattress, and people were friendly.

The bathroom tile looked like a child did it, no nice tile cuts, and the maticand grout weren't even wiped off the wall & molding.

We found the hotel to be clean and very convenient and close to all of the amenities in the area.
The problem was the receptionist at the front desk. Upon our arrival she was outside the front door smoking a cigarette and talking to someone on her phone. Once passing through the cloud of smoke we had to stand in front of the front desk for about 5 minits waiting for her to come in and check us in. I guess her phone call took priority. Once she returned she reeked of tobacco smoke which made it some what unpleasant to complete the check in process. Given that this whole property is "smoke free" it was surprising to see this.
The next morning we went down for breakfast 2 hours before the kitchen closed. There were no eggs left and the waffle batter was empty. We brought this to her attention and without saying anything she reluctantly went into the kitchen to rectify the problem. The front desk was vacant during this time and there was a couple waiting to check out. We have stayed at this property previously and had never encountered these problems.

Most of our interactions were with Mildred. Let me say, she is simply amazing and La Quinta owners are fortunate to have her on their team. Mildred very effectively checked us in and was very professional every time we saw her.
She made us fresh coffee one night and put up with our shenanigans as we made a TikTok video in the lobby during non peak hours.
Mildred is a gem, she likes her job and likes to laugh. She definitely sets the tone.

Trip Advisor readers, PLEASE realize that many hotels are excessively short staffed.
I met one of the owners in the elevator and complimented her on the cleanliness of our room. She thanked me and asked me to give feedback on my stay. This encounter was at 9 pm and she (the owner) was doing laundry.
So, weigh the pros and cons and realize that they are doing their best during these crazy times that we're in.

Breakfast was fresh, hot and plentiful. I would definitely return.
La Quinta staff.....hang in there because there are better days ahead.

When I say don't waste your time or money, I mean it. We only stayed here because it said it was pet friendly. What, we didn't know when we checked in was, that we had to pay extra to have our dog with us in the room. The parking was horrible and limited. The walls were like paper thin so could hear everything in the room next to you. When you leave make sure you don't leave anything behind.
Good luck on getting it back from the manager. He acts likes he happy to help on one phone call and the next you call again about the same thing to make sure your lost item is being shipped back to you. Like he talks about and it that states in the hotels policy, he acts like he's never seen or heard of the issue.

I was told that check in was 3pm, came in around 350 pm from a long trip to be told that my room was not ready because they were behind cleaning and were getting the pet rooms ready.😢😡.
Once in the room, the sheets had stains, bathroom had hair on the floor and the coffee machine was dusty and dirt. Had to ask for them to make complimentary coffee because every time I checked it , it was empty. The elevator smelled bad, pool looked dirty.
Hotel in decent area but not the best service.
They allowed guest to barbecue ( it appeared to be like a family reunion) all those guests were noisy, couldn’t wait to check out. I would not stay here again, now that I’m familiar with the area I would definitely choose a different hotel.
La Quinta in Niagara needs to be better. Customer service is everything and unfortunately you guys are missing that. It appears that your just trying to get through every day and that is not acceptable.

I am a frequent LQ traveler; while this one seemed ok at first glance, the closer you look, it's actually not very clean. The AC was barely functioning; mold in the shower; long strands of hair in the shower and in the bed.
The young man that checked us in upon arrival was very polite and courteous. As we were leaving, a woman was mopping the lobby and very visibly upset when we had to walk through it to leave. Also, it is not all that close to the Niagara Falls area.
Very overpriced for the poor quality.

Stay at the Comfort INN next door. Stay away from this place. It has a level of gross hidden by pretty colors. Stained, dirty, unacceptable and sad. A four year old hotel that needs to be deep cleaned and freshened up! Breakfast was a non starter, they should have just done nothing and would have been ahead of the game, or offer a voucher for the Dunkn Donuts or Starbucks.

We spent almost $500 for 2 nights at this hotel. The parking is extremely limited. There is one elevator for the whole hotel. But when we got to our room it was terrible. The furniture wasnt where it should go (couch was pushed up against the bed, office chair and end table in the middle of the room). The dresser was so broken/not level that the drawers wouldn't stay shut. The closet door handle was broken off, and laying on top of the fridge. There was only conditioner and a small bar of soap in the bathroom. The towels weren't cleaned, they were clearly dirty. The shower curtain was ripped. The phone had no buttons. The remote for the TV was broken and didn't work. The ice makers on multiple floors were broken. Garbage piled up by the elevator for days. The pool was an ok size but there are 4 chairs total in the pool area and it was so cloudy that you couldnt see the bottom even in the shallow end. The hotel as a whole is dirty. Breakfast was limited and coffee was terrible (we decided to go out for breakfast instead). I wouldn't stay here again if it was free. Completely unacceptable. Stay FAR away from this place!

Rooms and bathrooms dirty hair in tub pillows hard no tv remote. staff is rude no social distancing in pool area! Paid extra for early check in and wanted to charge me a full extra day had to call customer service was on hold for over an hour still had to pay extra for something that I was told was going to be covered. I do not recommend staying here with your family or in general period!

Olive Garden, they feed you well, unlimited soups and salads, food is excelent! Not recomended is Applebee's, its like an old bikers den, dark, lots of old fuzzy TV running sports, the clumsy staff likes to add surprises to your bill as they hope you won't catch their secret additions, they tell you that "well its like just a dollar more to upgade to the 8oz steak" then on the bill its $6.00 for the upgrade and the steak looks like it's still a 6oz!.. No place to enjoy your expensive meal the tables are very small 4 people sitting at a 4x5 table with dishes all over the place and they keep comming, and comming!.. The frendly wait staff brings your food while your eating then stands over you with this look of "why are you here? just give me your money and get out" while you interrupt your meal to make room for more food dishes that are comming, and comming.

As memory serves, it was a five to ten minute drive to the parking lot of the NY side of the falls.

I'm sorry. I don't know the answer to your question, but I would guess the hotel does not offer transportation. I agree with the other posters that the drive is not far, but it's too far to walk (2 - 5 miles to the NY side maybe?). I would suggest you phone the hotel and inquire about the availability of tour buses, taxis and Uber drivers as ways to get to the falls if you are not travelling by car. If you are travelling by car, it's a quick drive, but plan on spending $10 or more for parking at the falls, even for a short visit.
