If you're looking for an authentic mountain experience with down- home cooking, then this is the place. Sure, the cabins are a bit rough, bathrooms are in need of sprucing up, and the furniture's banged up a bit--but the water's nice and hot, water pressure's fine, and the last two times I've stayed there, mattresses new and truly comfortable. So...

The price was great compared to other placed and everything was very clean. The new owner is taking a lot of time and spend some money to make the place really presentable.i would go back again. The rooms are older but well kept and very clean! Really a great value.

I had read mixed reviews about this place, so I was a bit apprehensive. However, the place is very nice, rustic and the rooms are comfortable. Its what I would expect in the mountains. We had some problem with the shower, and the owner promptly moved us to a different room. After a long trek or a day on the...

Rustic with no extra amenities. However... this place offers a great price, comfortable beds, strong water pressure and OUTSTANDING gourmet food. We were very happy. Not to mention it's spitting distance to Gore Mtn.

Couldn't beat the price and the location was perfect for a weekend get-a-way to Gore mountain. Was a little hesitant when pulling into the inn, but after talking with the owner and checking out our clean yet rustic room we felt as if we were at home. The best part of the whole stay was the food. Don't think I've...

It was a very good experience. Besides having the best restaurant in the area, there staff and owner are such nice people. I booked this place for a weekend of skiing with my wife at Gore. The Cabin we had was roomy enough for both of us, also has 2 bunk beds in there which we didn't use. It was...

My son and I recently spent 4 nights at the inn on our yearly "mancation". Both of us had the same feeling about the place, why so inexpensive, howcome the owner isn;t gouging us? The Inn offered everything we needed for our ski trip. Our room was toasty warm, the water pressure and shower were excellent, and the cable tv...

Our family of 4 had spent a few days at Lake Placid last February and wanted to ski at Gore Mountain on the way home. We booked our reservations in advance of our trip. When we arrived at around 7pm, we checked into our bungalow. We began to get settled and quickly noticed the bathroom had mold on the shower...

Had to check in here overnight after being forced off the road due to terrible ice and snow (this was the closest place) It was late November and it seemed like the place was closed for the season, but the bar and restaurant were open. Went in and asked for a room and Rich (owner) got me setup up right...

I have stayed in a lot of different places, but nothing like this has ever come along. This trip was given to me for my 60th birthday as a surprise. Boy was it ever. It was a 2 night stay with dinner and breakfast for 2. Three words tell it all. STINK, STANK, STUNK. The room smelled like something died,...
