Bartender (Alyssa) is great. Waitress (Chantel) and Owner Mark are nice. Food was good also. However - if you care more about the guts...Room was probably the worst I ever stayed in. Its 70's decor which didn't bother me as I'm more into function than look. The function - water in the shower was terrible - I'm guessing it just...

When we arrived, the lodge was without water. Everyone was honest and helpful, allowing us to locate alternate lodging. From our experience, we would definitely try back again under better conditions. Definitely not their fault that their water was out. Everyone was professional, courteous, and accommodating.

My boyfriend and I were having a nice overnight ski trip and booked here. I don't complain much about stays as all I need is a safe place to lay my head. We checked in and they gave us a key to room 14. We open the door to people's items. Clearly not an available room. They "fixed" the problem...

This place blew my mind. Upon checking in we were given the key to room 14 and went to put our luggage away. When we opened the door we were greeted by another guest who was already occupying the room. When we returned to the bar and let them know what happened it didn't seem to bother any of the...

This motel is a hidden gem in The Johnsburg/North Creek area. My friends and I wanted to have a simple weekend getaway and we're so glad we chose the Black Mountain Lodge. If you're used to fancy Holiday or Hilton Inns' ambiance then this might not be the place for you. It has that rustic, Adirondack look and feel. Most...

We had a great time at the Black Mountain Lodge. We booked the room last minute through trip advisor and were greeted warmly by the owner Mark. Nice guy! Room was very clean, throwback to the 70's style decor but comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Having the restaurant and bar right on the premise made it very convenient to end...

On our way up into the North Country with my 80 year old Mom, I threw a dart to pick a motel along the route. What a find! Accommodating front desk; nice little pub restaurant, Local bar (not too loud). easy in and out.

Went there for a dinner on Saturday night based ona reccomendation from a store owner in North Creek. When we walked in the restaurant the waiter stated they are a little backed up. We looked around and they were not that busy. We ordered appetizers and a meal. 1 1/2 hours later we were still waiting for our appetizers. Finally...

The "owner" is extremely rude. All the staff was not professional. I called months before my visit and cancelled. The woman on the phone said I was all set. I received a call from the owner who informed me that it wasn't cancelled. I changed it to one night. I called to see if I could check in early and...
