I stayed here at first with my tour group and then had two nights on my own. The room I had first was far from the beach and definitely not a 'beach bungalow'. I had to walk up a huge staircase to get there. Once my tour group left I was upgraded to the beach rooms and this was much... More

Room was great, location couldn't be any better, prices reasonable. Drinks on the beach can't be beaten. Breakfast is pretty mediocre, other food OK but surpassed by nearby Kendwa Rocks. The 'Party' on friday night was entertaining but marred by one aggressive, coke-addled local - they clearly knew who he was (he was barred from everywhere) but no-where has any... More

Hi Tom S, Thank you for your review. We have just revised our food menu and right now we are even offering more cocktail choice. Our security is undergoing an internal training on how to deal with non customers and people external to hotel staff. We look forward to welcome you in order to see our improvements. More

We stayed for three nights last week. The location of the hotel could not be any better - a wonderful beach just in front of the hotel and a more natural/local touch than the hotels around. There were a few troubles during our stay: The waiters' English was very basic so they hardly ever got our preferences right (e.g. salad... More

We stayed with a group recently. The rooms were fantastic- very clean and comfortable, also very close to the beach. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The bar/restaurant however had the worst service I have ever seen. The food was great when it eventually came out but it took nearly 2 hours for food to arrive on more than... More

We rented a bungalow on Kendwa Beach for 3 nights. The volley ball court on the beach is nice, the bar has some good drinks on the menu (although sometimes late at night it runs out of alcohol?) and the WiFi works occasionally, if not then the neighbouring hotel has a better one. The Sunset Bungalows are spacious, have a... More

It was amazing. It really was for me. And it would be for you. But you should know one thing: you must forget about any comfort default of your previous Turkey, Egypt and Dubai experience - and if you do it, you will definetly enjoy your stay in Tanzania. If you will keep being keen on some must-bes - you... More

Spacious, clean rooms. Good ac. No wifi in rooms, had to buy it at the restaurant for 3000 tsh. The bartenders were hit or miss, 2 of the nights they were great, one night was bad. The beach and reef are beautiful but ruined by "beach boys" constantly trying to sell to you. And there is a lot of small... More

We loved the rooms & the beach.... Especially for the price we paid. When we got there, the rooms we booked were in a construction area. They upgraded us to nice, air-conditioned rooms for free! The staff was mostly really friendly... I think the one who was not nice ran the restaurant.... She wanted us to pay for our food... More

My stay at sunset Kendwa was ok to say the most. The service we got could have been so much better. The staff lacked "manners" they were not friendly and when you asked them for something, they would look like you are bothering them. The beach was amazing and the ladies on the beach that did massages and henna tattoos... More

Big rooms. Possibility to rent a room really close to the beach. The bar is ok. A lot of guardians around to let you feel safe. Overall the rooms are clean. Hot water. But the worst asset is the breakfast. Really disgusting. Some beans not cooked so well, some crepes, some fried sweeties, terrible eggs, and a poor choice of... More
