This hotel has very clean air conditioned rooms. It is centrally located to see La Roque Gageac, Domme, Sarlat and Les Eyzies. It is a travelers hotel with a wonderfully helpful staff. It has a guest laundry with laundry soap provided (there's a small fee for use). A small breakfast buffet is provided for hotel guests. It has a very good restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. Although the hotel is located next to the main road our room was very quite. It's a great place to stay, we'll be back!
Be sure to allow time to visit nearby nearby Domme which is an old fortress village. There's a fantastic view of the Dordogne valley at the top edge of the town. Save time for lunch or dinner at the Belvedere restaurant, or dinner at the Esplande hotel next door.

We (two adults and one teenager) stayed at this hotel for two nights on our 3 week driver tour of France. This is a very traditional hotel, from the bedding to the décor, all traditional French. We booked a triple room and had a very large room with a large bathroom. There is limited parking in front of the hotel but there are two parking lots across the street that have plenty of spaces for hotel guests. The breakfast was fairly good, the dinner was superb, so make sure you eat dinner at the hotel at least one night and make the reservation in the morning. The WIFI was free but a bit slow. This looked to be a family run hotel, the younger family member spoke good English but the older members spoke French only, so just be patient and wait for the younger ones to ask questions in English if you don’t speak any French. The location of the hotel turned out to be perfect for the visit, it’s a short drive to all the sights and is the launching point of the canoes. If we ever visit the Dordogne region again, we’ll definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a dream for those who love traditional French hotels but who also like comfort and a generous breakfast. The hotel rambles on a terrace above the Dordogne, located handily for canoeing or sightseeing in the area. The reception was very friendly and our room was modern and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet in a delightful dining room was relaxed and truly excellent with fresh fruit salad, juice, yoghurts, cereals , pastries.good cooked ham and a fine cheese board which Madame replenished regularly and more besides. Unlimited coffee was from a machine-often the best option these days when the French hotels do not always make the best coffee. We hope to return and can recommend especially as the price was reasonable.

Appeared to be expensive on enquiry but everything was excellent and worth the money. The room was huge with a king sized bed plus a single. The bathroom had both a bath and a separate shower with a large basin etc. The room no.120,as was the rest of the hotel, spotless and very well decorated. The hotel also has a lift which is great when struggling with luggage.

The evening meal was really well presented and tasty. The dining room setting was calm but
elegant in decoration and furnishing.

Probably stay there again next year when en route from northern Spain to the ports.

Room Tip: If all rooms are as good as room 120 you should be happy. Good double glazing held back the noise...

We had booked this hotel for six nights bed and breakfast with Logis after an extensive surf of the area on Trip Advisor (note the position of the hotel on google maps is not accurate, it is directly across the road from La Treille, at the bridge across the Dordogne).
We had arrived by train at Sarlat from Paris via Libourne (TGV Paris to Libourne brilliant, other train Libourne to Sarlat not so great but interesting), then taxi (10 minutes) to hotel.
Exterior of hotel was lovely however hotel reception did not give good first impression although receptionist was excellent, and room was well above expectations particularly en suite bathroom, both were very cleanand comfortable and appeared to have been decorated probably within the last year.
Breakfast was satisfactory and although we did not have lunch we did have dinner there twice. The menu as is the region is very heavily orientated to duck dishes which suited my wife, and although there were alternatives personally I would have preferred to have seen a little more options. The prices (for meals) at first seemed expensive but are on a par for the area and when we did eat there the quality and quantity were excellent.
One fairly minor point is that the wifi which appeared to be free was very patchy, however the pool which is a very short walk was excellentwith changing rooms and showers.
I would like to commend the staff of the hotel which I believe is still family managed, the older lady with had been friends with Josephine Baker was so very interesting.
All in all a lovely stay in a nice hotel.

Stayed 27-30 July 2009. A friendly family-run Logis.

Restaurant menus 24€ & 29€ offer good selection of regional products, well prepared and presented. Although the menu doesn't change and a 'plat du jour' would have been a welcome addition, there was just enough choice to keep us happy three evenings. Very good value and would recommend without hesitation.

The Hotel itself is well appointed and comfortable. The bedrooms are clean and air conditioned and well priced at only 62€ high season. However if you are very fussy on the standard of fittings in the room you will be a little disappointed as the bathrooms are are a little 'tired' and the decor somewhat worn.

A highlight is the swimming pool which although 100 metres away from the hotel is set in delightful gardens and is well maintained. There are plenty of sunbeds etc as well as facilities to shower and change into swimwear.

Overall an hotel to recommend highly.

This hotel was disappointing for me. It is in a lovely area, but it needs some upgrading. The room was clean and freshly painted, but the outside could use some help. Maybe it was because it was late in the season and the weather was getting cold and rainy. But carpets on outside stairs were partially torn up. It could be a very beautiful place. It looks really good if one doesn't look too closely. Hopefully, the management will do some sprucing up before the next tourist season.

The restaurant looks like it serves very nice gourmet type dishes, but, unfortunately, I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat foie gras, etc. So I did not partake of the offered fare. And worst of all, they mixed up my reservation and I didn't get the room I reserved.

My wife and I have been visiting this Family run Hotel every year for the past 31years. Our experience has been 5 star on every occasion. However this year we arrived an d found that the Delebie family had retired. The difference is there for all to see. Although the Restaurant seems to produce meals of the same quality the service is appalling. What the new management have done is get rid of half of the waiting on staff. Therefore those that remain seem to find it difficult to cope. One evening I witnessed the occupants of three tables get up and walk out.Where there were flowers, there are now none, and the public areas are badly in need of a refurb. The beds though are of good quality. It seems to me that the new management took over just before the new season. Perhaps next year it will be better. However we ish them well.

We had stayed at the Hotel Plaisance before and we delighted to find that the hotel bedrooms had been upgraded to a good standard since our last visit. We had a lovely large room with a good sized bed and a very nice bathroom.

Dinner in the lovely light restaurant was delicious and we asked for and were recommended a local wine to drink with the food.

There is on-site parking. The hotel has a lift and free wif-fi.

We would definitely stay here again.

We stopped on the way home and very grateful for some ample food to enjoy, the resto was just right, regional cuisine and well cooked and nicely presented and served by experienced staff. The room was adequate, but booking on the road we probably had to take what was available, we accept this. Despite adequate sound insulation we were really unable to sleep with windows open , only noisy Ac as an alternative, we opted for a hot night! The proprietress was amicable and welcoming with an air of being pressured by Le Logis requirements and their effect on performance. Overall, it's what is envisaged in tourist France in August at this price. A bientôt, peut être!

Bonjour, Est-ce que l'hôtel possède un coin bar ou l'on peut éventuellement savourer un petit apéritif avant d'aller diner ?
Answer from Hôtel P
Vitrac1 contribution
