I found it very hard to classify this hotel. The welcome, the staff and the food were good. The room was bad. The room was a really dreadful colour with peeling paint and a musty smell. The double bed was small with barely room to walk either side. The bathroom was a decent size and clean. The view was fantastic...

Felt like we were staying at the Castle. The rooms are extremely clean and quiet. Nothing fancy, but the view will take your breath away. The room and bath are on the larger side for Europe and are very comfortable. The staff is like family and went out of their way to help us as we rode here on bikes....

Nice rooms, lovely food, nice people. The only other time we stayed here was in 1978 and had very pleasant memories of that stay; we were not disappointed this time. The village has changed and the rooms have been re-decorated very simply and pleasantly. Nice bathroom.

We were a group of a French family who loved the village of Chateauneuf. Sadly the hotel was very disappointing. We were expecting at least to eat well. The food was absolutely disgusting ! How is it possible to serve a piece of meat with Mc Cain chips in France next to a beautiful Castle ? We had lunch and...

We had chamber (room) 2 upstairs on 1st level which had large windows over looking the courtyard, garden and most importantly the castle. Room and bathroom were basic but spacious and clean. No air conditioning but not sure if required in the peak of summer given the elevation! As mentioned by previous guests, English very basic by staff but use...

This has been one of the more interesting of stays on our trip Our main criteria is the cleanliness of the room so this was the decision to stay The room itself was small and the bathroom/toilet was basically a broom cupboard....you have to go outside to change your mind!!! Had a nice dinner and breakfast.....was overpriced for what you...

Directly next to the chateau. Quiet, comfortable and quant. Beautiful village. Would definitely recommend a stay here. See my other reviews of the area for restaurant/bar recommendations. The hosts know little English but if you know just a few words you're good. Close to many tiny villages and to Beaune for bigger city (with small town feel) for wine tasting.

Good hotel with fantastic position and a good value quality restaurant. Rooms are not luxury but prices are very fair and staff are very good. Been coming here for 25 years and always enjoy a few days peace and quiet

This was just the ticket for an overnight stay --- huge charm and very good food. The village is picturesque ... populated by artists and clearly a lot of gites, but it still has enough life going on to be interesting. The hosteller is right by the Chateau (as you might guess) which you must visit - it's small scale...

We spent a week at this hotel, exploring Burgundy village by village. The hotel is so charming with a beautiful garden attached. The views out the back were of the beautiful countryside with the Charolais cattle grazing. It was small (only about 9 rooms) but comfortable. If you are bigger than 5'4'' and 130 lbs, make sure you get a room...

“Our room at the top was a bit hot and pokey, but did have great views from the bed. Shower room very 'space saving', but well fitted. Not for those with mobility issues! Go for a room overlooking the castle and garden on the first floor for more wriggle room.”
