What a charming place, with a real mixture of French charm and Mexican art. Quiet location with a lovely pool area and summer kitchen. Friendly owner who you will see flying off in his microlight on an evening. Great location to explore the Camargue from especially Aigue Mortes. We had an upstairs room which got very hot and made sleep...

1 night in this a bit strange place, we arrived in the afternoon, other guests arrived at the same time while others were still leaving .. A bit chaotic, which meant at the end we never saw the promised glass of wine.. The owners are nice but direct, supposingly not knowing that some of their comments might even hurt some...

Hi, When You stay only one night and if You don't want to speak with other people at the breakfast ( I can understand that very well), You must stay at Hotel. A guests house is''nt an Hotel ! We love Le Mas de Barbut! It is such a relaxing location, far away from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions and tourist villages. We felt really at home here! The bedrooms are all located around a courtyard and each room has its own special features and charm, e.g. romantic balcony or mosaic bathroom. The hosts were very friendly:...

Fantastic friendly hospitality from the owner of this remarkable hotel. It is just outside Saint-Laurent-d, Aigouze the forth turning at the roundabout leading to the town. and located down a very rural lane across a railway. Very hard to find so this should help. The beautiful old building is within a courtyard that has palm trees and bamboo etc. The...

Nothing was too much trouble in this B&B, a very calm and relaxed environment, where you really could unwind. Quirky, for sure, that was part of the charm and appeal of Le Mas de Barbut. Thank you Jean Claude we felt at ease in your lovely home and surroundings.

I'm very sorry to read you had been disappointed for your stay at the Mas de Barbut. Fortunately majority of our guests don't share your feeling. But I can understand everybody cannot appreciate the same things. Our Mas is a very old lady ! I agree with you for the parking wich was a little overgrown and the strong wind...

Le Mas de Barbut is far removed from your average B&B. Jean Claude (who speaks very good English) made us feel very welcome with a glass of wine at the kitchen table. The house is chock-full of artefacts, objets and gadgets - with our lovely breakfast boiled eggs, we had three different gadgets to remove the tops including the culinary...

We stayed in the Mas de Barbut 21st to 25th September 2013 and this enchanting place was the highlight of our wonderful holiday in the south of France. Danielle and Jean-Claude have a talent for hospitality making us and presumably all their guests feel special. We had a charmingly decorated and spacious bedroom with its own little private garden alcove....

Staying here is just like being invited to someone's private house as you have access to almost every room in the house and Danielle and Jean-Claude make you feel at home straightaway. We turned up late afternoon without having had any lunch and Danielle went to so much trouble to find whatever she could in her fridge to feed us....
