The people that work there make it worth while alone. They will invest the time to show you the best spots and tips; E.g dont pre book restaurants to avoid getting higher prices Etc.
Now the Room, I recommend the upgraded version as you will be more secluded and higher for a nicer view. Very happy that i stayed here, would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights at Altemar Suites. The rooms were spacious and clean, large bathroom, wet bar and refrigerator. Good storage for luggage and clothes. The jacuzzi was nice (warm but hot though) and the sea view was beautiful. It's in an excellent location walking distance to everything. The hotel arranged a drive in a VERY nice van to pick us up from the airport around 9:00 p.m. and he even carried our baggage to our rooms and gave us the keys since reception was closed. Dimitis at reception was so helpful, offered to arrange any type of activity we wanted and transfers back to the port. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is very nice. It looks like it's recently renovated or maintained very well. Very clean and the superior room with hot tub was spacious enough for our small family. They were able to provide a crib for our toddler. All amenities are included so you don't need to worry about anything. They had towels, shampoo, body wash, slippers, and bath robes. The hot tub was also very nice. We stayed in suite 105 and it was on a higher level with a great view. The only thing is that I wish we could change the temperature of the hot tub. It seemed to be fixed and we could not change it even though it got a bit chilly one day.

Location is perfect. It's about 5 minute from the main area of Thera so it's not too noisy. It's quiet and there are some restaurants and mini-markets within 2 min walk.

Demetris was an amazing host. He is friendly and treats you with respect and kindness. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Dimitrius, the hotel manager, was fantastic! He couldn’t do enough for us during our stay, he helped us book excursions, told us where to visit on our quad, recommended restaurants and helped us book taxis. We stayed in room 204 which was a superior suite (which I’d highly recommend as the hot tubs are more private), the room was immaculate, amazing shower and toiletries provided. Our balcony had the sun on it from morning til 5pm. This spot is a 10 min walk from all of the main restaurants and bars. We are so pleased that we picked this accommodation, 100% recommended, we hope to visit again. Thank you to Dimitrius for making sure we had a wonderful stay.

We went as two couples for our first time in Greece. We could not have a asked for a more beautiful and accommodating place. The place was clean and very up to date and the views were amazing. Dimetri was the gentleman who worked at the front desk and spent hours assisting us with excursions and arranging travel for us. I highly recommend reaching out to him before arriving to arrange travel and excursions. He will ensure you are not getting scammed and will save you money!!

Fantastic stay. Incredibly comfortable, 10 minute walk to Fira downtown, the personal hot tub was a great bonus and Dimitrios has any sort of excursion around the island prepped and ready to go. He organized a driver to meet us at the airport and to take us to the port when we were leaving. Would definitely recommend.

We spent the last 3 nights of our 2 week Greece trip here - absolutely wonderful experience! Our host, Demetrius, could not have been more accommodating. Even when my reservation was accidentally canceled - he worked diligently to get us another room. The facility is beautiful, clean and calm. We really loved it. I can’t say enough about have wonderful our host was! Thank you Demetrius for a wonderful stay!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Altemar suites. The room was very nice and very clean, especially now with the coronavirus situation so it felt very safe. The view is very good and the balcony with the pool amazing! The location is great, only some minutes walk from the centre. I can't wait to go back again!

The suites are beautiful, clean and white with amazing views. The hot tubs great temp with a little communal pool if you prefer a dip. Great location 5 min walk from Fira centre. We actually preferred Fifa to Oia and got a quad to go all around the island. Cleaners come every day and do a great job. Panini maker and coffee machine handy. Dimitrius, the manager, is 10/10. So helpful and always smiling. Book the trips through him as he has great local
knowledge. He deserves a rise for the kindness he shows to guests! From Charlotte and Mr Maverick

What a gem of a place to stay in Fira, away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets and Cruise ships, yet only 5 mins walk to be in the thick of it. Beautifully clean apartments, fantastic bathroom and your own hot tub to chill and relax in after a day's exploring. Dimitris organized all our trips for us and we covered every part of the island and a boat trip in our 4 days. He is amazing and really knows his stuff, we were so glad we didn't book ourselves beforehand. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Can you see the sunset from the room balcony?

The hotel is on the opposite side to where you have most hotels. It would still get a sunset but not as clear as those on the main bit with all the hotels
