Spurred by love for this magical land we are lucky to call home, we set about with creating a premium hospitality unit with the discerning traveler in mind. Our island’s one of a kind volcanic soil -and soul was- fueled our imagination; and gave us abundant inspiration. LimeStone Santorini Cave Suites was thus born. With ample respect to the local vernacular architecture and surrounding environment, a typical 1925 building/mansion with yposkafa (Santorini’s characteristic bioclimatic structures which are excavated into the rock), was artfully transformed into a modern day, sophisticated collection of suites, offering the ultimate in comfort and indulgence: Complete mind, body and spirit rejuvenation; total indulgence of the five senses; a celebration of the good life. For here haute aesthetics, state of the art amenities and the latest conveniences, are seamlessly blended with premium, tailor made services, the most capable and convivial staff; and a distinct home

I'd like to think that I've been to some of the better hotels out there, but the service and hospitality at Limestone went above and beyond my expectations. Much of that was thanks to Thrasos, the hotel manager. I received helpful, friendly and expedient assistance with everything I needed during my trip. More importantly, as a newcomer to Santorini, I received ample advice on things to do, tailored to my interests.

The view from the room is stunning and spending the evening in the jacuzzi while sipping on local wine is as close as I've been to paradise on any vacation. The rooms aren't huge, but extremely comfortable and amenities are plentiful as well. The location offers fast, easy access to the city of Fira and other places of note on the island are within easy reach with plenty of options to get there. I can't think of a better home base from which to explore and enjoy everything this amazing island has to offer.

My partner and I visited Santorini for four nights and stayed at this fabulous hotel in their honeymoon suite (Sunstone). As soon as we got there, Thrasos gave us exceptional service from start to finish: collecting and carrying our luggage through the sweltering heat to and from our taxi, bringing us bottles and glasses of sparkling wine and giving us plentiful information about the island and places to go. The location of the hotel (and our room) was incredible and, although we had a public footpath in front of our balcony, we still enjoyed the people watching and panoramic views of the island and its volcanic companion and special sunsets from it.
I would definitely recommend going there; It is in walking distance of lots of shops, bars and restaurants in the city centre but is so quiet and peaceful and the service and hospitality of all the staff is impeccable!
Thank you to Thrasos and his team for making our stay so perfect and enjoyable! :)

I don’t normally leave reviews but after the stay I had at Limestone Santorini I knew I had to tell the world. This is a hotel experience like no other. From the port pickup & drop off service to the breakfast served on your balcony everything about this stay felt luxurious.

The room was gorgeous, the cave style was unlike any hotel room I’ve stayed in and every little detail was done with love. Something worth mentioning: at one point during my stay a piece of paint had chipped in the sink. I did not mention it to anyone, but by the time we returned from our days adventure, housekeeping had covered it up as if there was never any chip; that level of detail.

Thrasos, the hotel manager, really treated us like the guests of honor; making sure everything during our stay was to our liking (from hot tub temp to choosing our suite), and helping us secure reservations to the top restaurants on the island. He took the time to give us an overview of all Santorini had to offer and even arranged our catamaran tour. He really made the experience so special and is the heart and soul of the Limestone.

If you are looking for a luxury experience on Santorini, then look no further than the Limestone. It’s worth every penny, and I’m already dreaming of my return visit.

Had booked the suite with the cave pool ahead of our wedding as a treat to use in the days after our wedding, covid hit and we had to reschedule... Limestone charged me extra to do this, citing their rates were higher now in 2022 than 2020.... fine, ok, I'll pay it.

2 years later, the day finally comes, to be told we have received an 'upgrade' - what this consisted off was a bigger room, but with an exposed hot tub at the front of the hotel with everyone gawping as they walk past and taking selfies. The 'hot' tub was also cold.

Really upset, I asked management if there is possibility to switch rooms, but they had sold our room on again to someone else who was unwilling to switch. Funny that.

The receptionist said i should message management once home to ask for a refund. Have done this, even asking for a possible future stay ( we come to Santorini every year) to be told a big no and basically tough luck.

Hugely disappointed and almost ruined the week for us. Their so called kind gesture of an upgrade was nothing more than an excuse to re-sell what is clearly their most popular room. Even worse is their reaction to it.

Avoid this hotel and stay somewhere that has some class about it.

Very nice stay.
Limestone and its staff live up to the positive reviews.

We had been warmly welcomed and did not lack any services.
Location is good and prices acceptable, considering the rush on Santorini.
Well, all the hotels know what their contenders charge so prices are standarized on the island. At least it seems so. There is expensive and super expensive. Hahaha :)

Room was good.

3 points we did not like as much :
Missing shade option on the left roof terrace
Breakfast not up to the room price. Room for improvement.
Bathroom shower height and room drier noise.

But all in all we had a good stay and could enjoy ourselves to the help, friendliness and professionalism of Mister Dimitris Chief of Reception :) I call all Greeks Dimitris as i always forget their names. So please do not be mad at this Dimitris. :)

Limestone is a divine and special place. It’s location is great (Fira), a central location on the island of santorini. The best (beside the sympathy) is the comfort and the rooms with an unusual refinement, imitating the houses in typical Santorini caves. There is a private jacuzzi in each suite. Its just wonderful. All this, combined with extreme sympathy Thrasos (the manager), has become a unique experience and very romantic for me and my wife ... thank you Thrasos, you are the best. the days we spent in Limestone were priceless! totally recommended!

I have been in the hospitality business for many years and the welcome that Thrasos and his team gave us was outstanding.

The communication from the minute we booked to remembering that I liked two cups of tea in the morning with breakfast was outstanding.

The hotel is well located in the centre of Fira and was wonderfully clean and well maintained. The rooms although were snug had every amenity we need for our trip.

A simple call to reception and we received any item we had forgotten or needed.

The team has extensive knowledge of the island and we didn’t need to ask twice for anything during out trip.

We will definitely be back soon!

If you are reading this you probably need reassurance to book this hotel. I totally recommend it if you are looking for a special experience, want to feel pampered and make the best memories with great atmosphere and views of Santorini.
What makes it different from other equally nice and price-wise hotels is definitely the 5* service! Thrasos the person in charge with reception and guests, treated us like royals and made our stay perfect!
He is most attentive to details, treated us with complimentary breakfast and early check-in at our early arrival, sparkling wine and strawberries for a jacuzzi evening, reservations for our boat trip which I recommend if you want to see the perfect sunset!
Book this hotel and you cannot fail!
Thank you again, Thrasos!

My fiancé and I stayed in limestone for 3 nights at the end of October this year and we had an amazing time. We were looked after so well, the place was so clean with amazing views of caldera.

The host Thiros was absolutely brilliant and made sure that we had everything we needed at all times. Thiros even got up early on the morning we were leaving to make us breakfast and help with our bags.

Thank you so much. Hopefully we can return some day. ❤

We stayed in the Emerald room for our honeymoon. The manager Thrasos and his staff were so warm and welcoming, and made us feel like we were royalty. They booked restaurants for us, advised on local activities, and served us complimentary wine. They were available at any time, and always friendly and helpful.

The room itself was beautiful - air-conditioned, spacious and tastefully decorated. There was an indoor hot-tub which we used every day, and a lovely private roof terrace at which we ate the delicious daily breakfast that Thrasos and his team serve.

We'd 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely come back next time we visit Santorini!
