Considering the price of Caldera view accommodation, the excellent location and lovely owners, I can't fault Scirocco apartments in any way.

The two daughters were lovely hosts. They made sure our room had what we needed, and were happy to give recommendations for good restaurants in the area, at a range of prices.

All covid guidelines were followed, which was good to see, as this isn't always the case in Greece.

The views of the caldera from our balcony were amazing. Photos just don't do it justice. What's even better is that the views were completely unspoiled by anyone walking in front of the balcony, as I noticed in some other apartment buildings.

The location is great, just a short walk to the town centre, with easy bus connections to the rest of the island. There's also a relatively large supermarket (with a proper cheese counter) within walking distance.

If I could give a whopping 10, I would! Perfect in every sense.

Location: Close to the Main Street but not too close that your peace with nature get disrupted by the crowd’s noise.

Service: Christine’s knowledge of the area boasts of her pride in her region. She gives suggestions that are worthy of your time and experience. She responds in a timely manner and has an easy to adore type of personality. Her crew is efficient and very helpful and accommodating.

Cave houses: We were a family of 5. We booked 2 cave houses to give everyone extra room to relax. Rooms are clean and spacious. AC is functioning properly. Bathroom is good size. Location of the cave houses is on the cliff side and you wake up every morning to the view of the caldera. I can’t think of a better accommodation!

My only advise to future guests is lighten your load as much as possible, regardless of where you stay. Santorini involves a lot of climbing steep hills and Scirocco apartments are right on the cliff side. (FYI) They help with luggage transport. They also offer airport transport services.

A big thanks to Scirocco Crew team! We will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I recently spent 4 days in Santorini and stayed in a studio the Scirocco apartments. Anja and his family/staff were easy to communicate with throughout the booking process and organized transport that met us at the airport in Santorini.

Adrian and Christina were incredible. Adrian carried our bags through the winding streets and staircases and ultimately to our door. Christina met us at check in and was lovely. She gave us a map and a ton of recommendations based on our interests.

Our Studio room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful balcony. Christina and Adrian continued to be very helpful throughout our stay. Christina helped us secure a beautiful sunset dinner reservation and helped us with transport around the island.

If you are looking for a nice centrally located stay on a budget, I highly recommend Scirocco!

We loved this hotel for our five day stay in Santorini. We had great communication with staff before arriving and they were wonderful once there. We stayed in a very clean, bright and charming room decorated with rustic Greek decor and the most amazing views of the caldera, swimming pool, cruise ships and donkey trail. Our room while maybe not a full "apartment" did have a mini fridge, dishes and electric kettle which allowed us to enjoy breakfast and coffee on either one of our two terraces. Scirocco like most hotels in the area, is cut into the hillside with many levels below the main street or footpath as it's pedestrian only in the vicinity of the hotel. We were a three minute walk away from shopping and restaurants but could slip away to peace and quiet in a few moments. As mentioned previously there are many levels of stairs so if you don't enjoy a bit of exercise then hopefully a request for a top level room will work. I was late in writing a review as we stayed in June 2022.

If you are looking for spectacular views, then this place is it. All three apartments in our group had balconies facing the Caldera (volcano). Just sitting in the balcony and having breakfast every morning was an experience we will never forget. In addition, in the floor below our rooms there was a beautiful swimming pool with the same view as our balconies The rooms were spacious, quiet, and had good air conditioning. Breakfast is provided for a fee, however, there is a bakery and a grocery store a few minutes from the hotel. This was a lot cheaper option and since there is a small refrigerator in each room, we also bought water, beer and some baked goods. If you need transportation between the hotel and the airport/post, ask the hotel and they will put you in contact with service that provides transportation. Or contact directly (the name is George at 2brotherstravel7). George also provides tours of the island at a reasonable price. Just one caution about this location and Santorini in general, there are a lot of steps to and from the apartments and the main street. Make sure you bring shoes with good traction and are comfortable with handling lots of steps. They will provide you with assistance with the luggage which I highly recommend you request. I recommend this place and would stay here again if I came back.

Great hotel with a fantastic view of the Caldera . Rooms are nice and comfortable , they have various balcony size but all have table and chairs to enjoy the view. They offer pick up service (for a fee) and someone can help with the luggage ((lots of stairs) access to the pool which is quite nice after a day visiting . The owner , her daughters and the employees are all very nice and helpful from the time you book to the end of your stay.

Wonderful place for comparably good price. Other places nearby which offer pretty much the same view cost more. Very friendly staff, you have an ability to get a ride from/to airport or ferry port. Also the place itself is very near the main Fira road, bus station and supermarket. There is some steps though so I would’t recommend this to people who has walking problems.

I stayed in cave house number 17. I liked this the most because it’s private enough (there is no people around you, just below you).

Scirocco Apartments has it all: nestled against the caldera it provides beautiful views on the old harbor, Oia, Fira and the luxury to watch the sunset from your own terras or from the poolside! It’s a family owned place with very warm and friendly staff. The daughters are fluent in German as well. A short walk up the stairs and you’re dead Centre of Fira.

My daughters and I stayed for 4 nights. We absolutely loved the view from our large balcony. We ate dinner before the sun set and then watched it from our balcony with a bottle of wine-a much more relaxing time than dealing with the crowds in the streets above. Anja was a great help with questions and reservations before our arrival. She arranged for car service from the airport, which I highly recommend, and a member of the staff took our bags from town to the hotel. Christina was so lovely and kind. She had waters waiting for us when we arrived and gave us great restaurant recommendations. We had a wonderful time!

We had a lovely stay at this location in June (Cave 17). There were 3 of us and there was ample room. Place was very clean and it was easy to communicate with Christina who was the caretaker of the apartments with her sister. She was always very responsive to my requests and questions. This room had a large balcony overlooking the caldera. It was amazing to sit out there in the morning and late at night. The apartment had a/c that was easy to work and the beds were comfortable. The pool area was nice as well. The wifi worked well from our room.

This is a no frills apartment but very reasonably priced for a room with a caldera view. They will also stock the mini fridge for a price. That can be discussed during the reservation process. This place was perfect for us.

Not anywhere near the apartments. They are on the bottom path at Fira, so you could Parkin the outskirts at the town car park and walk in. Probably no more than 20 minutes.

Does anyone know if there is a laundry service at Scirocco?

Hi, don't recall there being a laundry room, but why not email the owners... they're really nice. There are small clothes lines and pegs on each balcony for any handwashing you might need to do. I would imagine that there is a launderette up in the town. Hope that helps?

Hi BHRamirez, I stopped here and this is exactly the method they wanted from us... We ended up paying in cash (full) on our first day and they have not taken anything from my account. The owners Anja and family are 100% trustworthy! They are lovley! You need to stay here :-D
