Very pleased with my recent stay at the Petit Palace Suites. The views from my “grand”suite, breakfast, and the pool deck are simply stunning. The hotel location is quite central, meaning taxi rides are only about 10-15 mins for most locations (Oia further).

One thing to note is that the hotel has a lot of stairs — our room was only down 1 flight so it was never an issue but others were down 3+ and could be exhausting to climb.

A couple issues that if could be resolved would improve the hotel even further… we had a few inconsistencies with housekeeping… where they didn’t bring new bottles of water, failed to take out the trash, didn’t replace trash bags, etc. When we called to raise the issues, they were immediately rectified but still not ideal to have them in the first place.

The pool deck is clearly the most picturesque & lovely hotel location with gorgeous views, calming music, plush sunbeds. But the tiles in the pool are broken and missing in some locations. For this calibre of hotel, they really need to fix the pool tiling, it looks messy and takes away from the pristine view. Other than that detail, the rest of the pool experience is lovely & was never crowded. Lunch & drinks by the pool were reasonably priced & offered huge portions - highly recommend!

Staff was always polite & friendly. Loved being greeted by champagne upon arrival!

Breakfast had a decent menu selection, did take a bit long to get certain items, but when you’re distracted by the beautiful view, you can get past this :)

Overall, the suite was very large, could do with some updates in the bathroom but the view is what’s most important and with a private balcony and 2 chairs overlooking the caldera, we were extremely pleased.

Would gladly recommend to any couple looking for a romantic & calming getaway.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. From arrival to departure every member of staff we met was extremely helpful and professional. The rooms and views are like nothing I have experienced before, they are stunning. Every dish we tried was delicious (breakfasts, dinner & desserts). Located 5-10 minutes from Fira, the hotel organised a taxi for us each time we requested for just €10 one way into Fira. Would absolutely love to stay at this hotel again

This hotel is without doubt one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Been here a week and from the second you get out of the taxi it hits you just beautiful it is.

Yes it’s on the busy main road but after 30mins it’s just background noise and you can’t hear it anymore.

The view is the best on the island, as the sun sets straight in front of you every night. Nothing is too much effort for this place, the staff are really friendly and helpful, with special thanks to the staff at breakfast you are both amazingly happy and genuinely pleased to see you every day. Breakfast are really good. Plenty of food and plenty of choices, we also eat a few meals in the restaurant here, again food was really good not that expensive either compared to other places on the island.

The photos don’t do this place justice but it’s perfect. The rooms are fine no issues, beds are massive and comfy, the pool area is great and to be honest I can’t think of any bad points. The number of people turning up every day to have their photo taken at the hotel entrance is amazing (easy 100 people a day) but that say just how beautiful the view is.

Really hope to come back here again next year once the world is back to normal.
Thanks for a truly memorable trip x

So we paid a fair amount as this is not a cheap hotel and it advertises as 5 star.
Well upon arrival for our 2nd wedding anniversary we were told that we could not stay the full time booked. We were to be upgraded.
No notice via email or at point of booking they waited till check in to say we would have to pack up after three nights and move to a different place.

Having been island hopping for two weeks we picked this place to relax for 5 nights and unpack our bags.

Upon entering the villa we found a few lights did not work and the place was clean but tired looking, the TV was old and the Wifi barely worked so we hot-spotted our phones.

I jumped in the freezing cold pool so cold I got out after finding 50 bits of the base were broken off floating around.

It was at this point we kicked off. We could not be moved as the other rooms were smaller.

We were sent a bottle of wine and fruit.

The pool was so cold I never bothered getting in. Instead we tried the two person hot tub bath. To find the lights in it also didn’t work.

Breakfast.
We were told things like orange juice and ham were off the menu as they were closing soon, so we ordered around the menu and every single day 1-2 items ordered never arrived.

The staff were friendly but we gave up trying to complain and just got on with it. Vowing never to return.

The saving grace was after three horrible days and nights we were moved due to the hotel being closed as not enough guests to another hotel owned by the same group. This was fantastic and a very different story. Why we weren’t moved here from day one I will never understand.

If I had known I would have cancelled the booking.

Such a shame and honestly I wouldn’t give this hotel 3 stars.

If you enjoy run down, out of stock, several items not working and a freezing cold pool you will never want to get in, then come here. You’ll pay a lot of money, but you will have friendly staff.

Still can’t believe we were charged the full amount. Pictures of some of our favourite examples of the 5 star experience.

Highly recommend a visit to Petit Palace, from the welcoming staff recommending places to eat and where to go on day trips, to the absolutely stunning standards throughout the hotel. The view of the caldera is the best on the island, perfect at sunset. The room and pool area standards are excellent and the food and staff really make for a fantastic stay. Thank you to Tina and her team for a wonderful stay.

What a gorgeous property! The view welcomes you from the moment you arrive and there is no place where it is better. The staff was very friendly and always accommodating. The pool is the place where everyone eventually gravitates due to the extreme heat and it is always well maintained. The breakfast and dinner servers were very nice and the service could not have been better. The elevator broke down a few times during the stay which should be noted for anyone who may have a disability as it would be difficult to climb the stairs back to the top (most of the rooms sit on the cliff below the check in area). Perhaps this was isolated to our week on the premise but if walking is an issue for someone in your group, I would recommend requesting a room as close to check in as possible - otherwise be prepared for the workout as the climb back up is steep. My only other recommendation would be for the pool to be equipped with towels. While towels were there in the morning on the lounge chairs, once those chairs are used, the towels aren't replenished by staff throughout the day and guests had to wait for hotel staff to appear and then request that they go get towels. Probably a minor issue, but didn't follow why they weren't readily available and had to be requested when you know people are going to be using the pool in such hot conditions. We also had an issue with our air conditioning which the hotel quickly addressed and a serviceman was sent to try and fix it. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so and we had to change rooms but we felt fortunate another room was available and so it wasn't a huge deal. We would definitely stay at this property again.

This Hotel is a must! Absolutely incredible staff which was so kind and helpful (especially Tina at the front desk) the view is so great it looks photo shopped please find pictures attached. People even stopped at the hotel to take pictures.
The rooms are all pretty much private and all have a privat view on the caldera. I have never seen such a sundown.
The pool was amazing (you also have a great view). Nice restaurants located near bye.

Resume: I would come back anytime any day and would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. If we come back to Santorini we will stay here.

We stayed at the Petit Palace in August 2018, and had our own private pool. The private pool upgrade is 100% worth it; being able to dip in the pool after a long day, with all the privacy, was such a relaxing treat.

Breakfast was served on our balcony every morning. You will submit your breakfast preferences the night before. Go ahead and fill up that form!! We had champagne every morning :)

The service here was amazing. We were so thankful we stayed here and not in Oia. We went on a sunset cruise with a family who was staying in a hotel on the opposite side of the island, in Oia -- where there is tons of retail, shopping, dining, etc. They seemed to regret their decision to stay there, and asked us a million questions about our million dollar view.

We really hope to be back. This was such a splurge but such a treat!

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi to our last photo on the balcony, this place exceeded our expectations. It was our first trip to Santorini, and it was truly like we had stepped into a postcard of what Santorini should be. Our room was entered by going down from street level via elevator and entering a surprising little tunnel that led to a spectacular view of the caldera and a quick walk to our patio. The breakfasts that were included were sumptuousness in themselves, chosen from a list of items we hand-picked each morning. The best surprise for us was probably the evening meals we had on the property. The first night we chose the chef’s tasting menu of five courses. Wow. What a jewel they have in the chef! Each selection was beautifully presented and prepared, and it was just enough in portion size to split between the two of us. In fact, of our three-night stay, we chose dinner at Petit Palace twice and had incredible meals both times. The chef’s choice menu allowed us to experience so many more dishes than we would have had by simply choosing our own entree. Highly recommend. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and warm. The property is ten minutes from Fira, so that means you will need transportation to town. Again, the staff was on top of all we needed to get where we wanted to go, and being able to return each night to our magical room was worth any transportation cost we incurred. I can’t imagine a better introduction to Santorini than the Petit Palace.

It is not restricted to couples as far as I know. That being said it’s a small place with steep stairs and I didn’t see any small children when we were there
