The Aigialos Collection consists of sixteen, renovated neoclassical houses that were originally the fine homes of the island's noble captain families. The architecture and design of the houses bring to life the traditional way of life of the island's nobility. Restored to perfection by master masons using local volcanic stone and coloured lime plaster, the houses are linked by cobbled walkways. Situated on the rim of the caldera, sheer cliffs that rise from the sea, the hotel overlooks the island's famed volcano.

The structure also seen the price and 'delicious, great view and location. What impressed us the most is the extremely kind staff and who strive to meet any need. They booked us the scooter dinners the taxis, always ready to give advice. Included in the price is the breakfast service on the terrace of the room which also comes with a free bottle of wine.

This traditional settlement oozes historic character. The breakfast and room service is impeccable which includes the choice for breakfast to be served on your own private balcony. We had a beautiful room overlooking the Calderra, the views from sunrise to sunset were stunning. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accomodating, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location.

A beautiful trip to Santorini was in no small part thanks to this lovely hotel. With a range of private suites many with gorgeous views over the Caldera, or access to balconies even if not adjacent to the room, it’s a perfect place to stay if you want a historical, peaceful stay slightly away from the beaten track. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful, the breakfast is delicious and the decor is tasteful and traditional. Also has a nice restaurant. Close to the bus terminal and the centre of Fira town without feeling hemmed in. 10/10 - would recommend to anyone.

This hotel has a historic, classic santorini feel with increidble views of the Caldera from our long and beautiful balcony. Situated perfectly in a quiet street, only steps away from the heart of Fira. Staff went above and beyond at all times to make our stay wonderful and we enjoyed complimentary breakfast each morning delivered directly to our room so we could peacefully eat with a remarkable view. While by no means cheap, given what you get it is definitely a high value, albeit luxury, option in Santorini.

Aigialos suites are quaint lovely suites with perfect views of the sunset from your balcony in Fira. They make you feel like you have a small apt outside of the busy town, feels like home and a lovely suite to come back too after touring and to begin the next morning (breakfast delivered to room). Located at the south end of Fira they are at the start of the town (and located between the upper and lower level of streets), quiet area away from the inner bustle of town and close enough walk to town or to the bus terminal (5 blocks) for excursions to other towns. The staff and Evi at the front desk are extremely nice and helpful. I really enjoyed my four night stay there, really felt like having a calm home to stay in after touring (I think I already said that, but it's the main true aspect) and like I said great sunset views for Fira. Everything else is up to the 5 stars they get, clean, quiet, good service, good breakfast, etc...no concerns there.

Our stay at this hotel was the number one point of our trip. We stayed there 4 days. Impeccable service. A la carte lunch served every day on the terrace of our room on a white tablecloth. The quality of the lunch is worthy of a 5-star restaurant. The waiter takes great care of us. We chose the superior room with partial view, but still very nice view. The only thing that makes it partial is that there is a wall that can block the view when we sit, but very partial. Very central. Very good service in arranging a taxi for us, explaining bus routes, recommending excellent restaurants, giving us directions and suggestions for activities. The rooms are beautiful, large and comfortable. Our friends had a room next to us. Everything was perfect. I will go back there one day!

We absolutely loved staying here for many different reasons. First, the staff was exceptional! Welcoming, helpful, friendly, and their service was top notch! Second, we loved that it was right on the edge of town so it didn't feel crowded or loud. Third, eating breakfast every morning our balcony is something that we think and talk about often. The view is spectacular. And lastly, our room was great. It was roomy and comfortable.

The only good thing of this hotel was the view and location

But in now way this is a luxury hotel. The hotel is run down, the sheets were ripped and had holes, there was very poor water pressure in the top shower, the old furniture was not maintained, the door handles of the bathroom were loose and fall out, the lobby area was old and messy ( in general, very poor maintenance)

In summary one of our worst experience ever.

We left one day earlier because of the bad experience and for our surprise the hotel didn’t reimburse the night arguing that we had a non reimbursable booking tarif.

Really not very customer oriented policy

We are now waiting for a response from the head office of the hotel in Athen, to get the reimbursement of at the day we left earlier...

Our stay at the Aigialos was fabulous! The view was spectacular. I did a lot of research to ensure we had the best and most interesting view of the caldera, mountainside and quaint buildings along the cliffs, and of course the beautiful sunset, all from our balcony. A spacious, clean and comfortable room, manageable stairs, and a great breakfast were mandatory, as well as easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Aigialos delivered and more. We compared it to Oia in person and were so glad we stayed here in Fira. The best part was the staff. The service was impeccable - every staffer was kind, responsive and helpful with a smile. Most impressive was that we asked for a private tour to be arranged in 2 hours, and it was quickly confirmed with a recommended itinerary. We had an outstanding driver at the best price. Impressive. Our stay was perfect!
