This was our 4th stay at Aressana! Our last visit was in 2018 and since then they have really worked hard to keep this beautiful hotel to its very high standard. Service is excellent from all the staff. They work hard to keep this big hotel spotless and are always ready to serve with a pleasant smile. As always our first contact was by email to Jacqueline, who is responsible for reservations. It's a pleasure to communicate with her. She responds quickly and strives to please, even with special requests. She has the amazing ability of remembering past guests and offers everyone the best service. Anna is the excellent manager who finds the time in her busy schedule to talk to guests and helps whenever she can. The rest of the staff is just as accommodating. One afternoon Nikos, the chef, made us an excellent, special anniversary dinner that we enjoyed outdoors, facing the beautiful pool! The Aressana breakfast every morning was excellent as always, with a huge variety of excellent foods.
We loved our stay at Aressana and we will definitely come back soon for another excellent stay! Our thanks to everyone.

This is the most amazing hotel and I can’t wait to return. It was just 10 minutes from the airport. We took advantage of the hotel shuttle.

The breakfast was fantastic and you got the chance to try food that you wouldn’t normally eat. This was the highlight of my day.

The staff were so lovely yet very professional. They seemed to work all day long. I just wish they had worn name badges because it was difficult to recognise them wearing their masks.

The staff were great at controlling the sunbed area and would remove towels if left by people. I only wish more hotels did this.

The location was brilliant. Literally 20 steps from the Caldera sunset views and the centre of all the action. Bars were literally on the doorstep but located at the start so it was away from any noise (save for the cathedral bells on Sunday).

We loved Iriana and The Vine which are opposite each other on the main stretch next to the big white church. It was great having a cocktail and watching the sunset in each bar. The staff in both bars were lovely.

The only pieces of constructive criticism I would give is that there is a lack of drawer space in the rooms. Although there is plenty of hanging space there were not enough hangers. There was nowhere to put your underwear or costumes etc.

Also, the doors slam shut which often disturbed your sleep. I know the hotel can’t be responsible for disrespectful guests.

All that said I would highly recommend this hotel.

Go on the volcano/hot springs trip - it was only 20 euros for an adult and half price for children. It was 3 hours long and it was fantastic. You got to climb to the crater (just 20 mins - wear trainers) and swim in the hot springs. It was also a good excuse to go on the cable cars as the pick up point is down in the old port. As there were no cruises in due to Covid-19 there were no queues at all.

What can I say about this gem in the heart of the capital city of Santorini in Fira. This luxury hotel has it all! Location, friendly staff, clean, chic decoration, breakfast to die for, spa, restaurant, swimming pool....you name it! We took advantage of all the services the hotel offers, and we loved every single thing about it!
We stayed for 6 nights for our honeymoon at the private suite with hot tub on the balcony. It was absolutely perfect!
They welcomed us in our room with a wine and platter with fruit, cheese and crackers to accompany our wine.
They offer for a small cost room service, and also wash, dry and press any clothes you need help with.
The room was clean, and airy, with a great view. We were facing east, and could catch a breathtaking sunrise every morning!
We made a reservation at their restaurant, Ifestioni. Their food is out of this world! You must try it! Greek cuisine with a twist. Make sure you make a reservation, as there are other customers outside the hotel that come for the food. Make a reservation, and you won't regret it! While reading the menu, don't get discouraged; the description of words doesn't do it justice.
Lastly, for those that want to treat themselves, and like to get pampered, sign up for the spa services Aressana offers. Their spa, Tefsion Kallos Spa, is the best we have ever been to. We have been to many spas in USA. This one beats them all hands down. Take advantage of their relaxation room prior to your massage. The relaxation room has hot beds, and a large jacuzzi. They will also offer your refreshments, slippers, robes and towels. After the relaxation room, take up on a 90 minute full body massage. Their most popular is their Signature massage that has a combination of different massage techniques.
Lastly, speaking from our experience, a 60 minute facial is a must do!!
Let me just phrase it this way; my husband's wrinkles were thinned out, and he looked 10 years younger. They use organic Greek products called Apivita. I wish I had asked what they used on him, so that we could purchase the exact same products to take with us back home in the States!
Aressana luxury hotel is a small exotic paradise with beautiful and friendly people, amazing food and relaxing spa. A must stay!! We will definitely come back, and 100% recommend!!

Although old it looks fresh and contemporary. In the heart of Fira this hotel offers a cozy cocoon when you get back from a hot day trip on Palaia Kameni (the zero point in Santorini where it all started), or from the famous Akrotiri (the greek Pompeii over 1500 year before Pompeii destroyed!!!), or from a wine tasting tour to the tiny but exquisite wineries on this island.

You are very welcomed in a very laid back way into the elegant and cool lobby. Remote check in and a wet towel to fresh up yourselves certainly makes an impression. In addition, the fruits' platter that came as a rich offer right after we entered our room was the extra little touch we needed.

Our room was small but nice, with top bathroom amenities. Housekeeping did not enter during our stay due to the counter-pandemic measures taken.

Breakfast was nice and with a couple of different options day by day; served à la carte, again due to the covid-19 situation. Apart from an order for a couple of desserts that came a bit "tired" despite their great appearance, we didn't have the chance to try their restaurant.

The pool area, although small is very nice. You may find it hard to secure a sunbed as there are not many.

Staff is very kind, friendly and professional.

Excellent location if you don't mind not to stay on the edge of the cliffs, but with no parking space close by.

Overall, a good 4* hotel.

We were so pleased with our choice of hotel. We were picked up by the hotel transfer who arrived early (which worked well as our flight was early) and were greeted at the hotel with cold wet flannels and homemade lemonade. We had a balcony room which was cosy and modern. The pool is beautiful, with multiple day beds and sun loungers - be sure to bag yourself one early in the day as it can get busy. The breakfast was HUGE (!!!) and delicious. You’ll receive a menu each day, and you can choose specific items from it if you don’t want to feel overfaced. The staff are incredibly polite and attentive, in particular Elina at reception who made our stay especially special. The location is perfect - on the edge of the main street of shops and restaurants and a 10 second walk to the spectacular view. We used the gym each morning which is small but served a purpose. Be sure to book it in advance.

Our only improvement would be to add extra storage in the bedroom however this is only a minor point.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights, 28th Sept - 3rd Oct. When we arrived we were greeted with a cold cloth and a fresh homemade lemonade and our bags were taken to our room for us which was a lovely welcome. Our room was lovely, clean and visually pleasing. Throughout our stay the service from every single member of staff At Aressana was impeccable, we couldn’t have asked for a more caring and helpful set of staff - From all the waiters to bartenders to receptionists to the cleaners. The hotel is in a fantastic location right in the heart of Thira, all the restaurants and nightlight is a 30 second walk away, however when we come back to the hotel pool area you wouldn’t know you are in a capital, this hotel is perfect for a relaxing getaway with a chance to do some tourist things/exploring aswell.
Thankyou to all the staff at Aressana for looking after us! You were great!

I have just got back from a weeks stay at Aressana Spa Hotel and had the most amazing time. The hotel is perfect. The staff are so polite and welcoming. We are a young couple who travelled from England. After wheeling our cases up the big hill (where our transfer dropped us off) we were met by the lovely reception staff who greeted us with a drink and wet towel so we could relax whilst they checked us in. They took our bags to our room for us whilst we got a tour of the hotel and its spa. The hotel is in the perfect location and the sun bed area is a sun trap sheltered from the windy heights of Fira. The pool is very cold but it is expected in early April. The hotel drinks and food are lovely, a bit pricey but a lot of places in Santorini are pricey. Our room was beautiful, we had a private pool area which was lovely but somewhat wasted as the temperature of the pool was just far too cold. It would certainly be worth having during the summer months. The rooms were cleaned daily by placing a sign outside requesting to do so. Breakfast is lovely, a good choice of food and drinks are available. The spa is beautiful, we booked a couples spa treatment in advance which included the use of the incredibly relaxing spa facilities to ourselves for an hour with a bottle of fizz and fruit platter followed by a couples massage. My fella actually popped ‘the question’ whilst we were there. It was so magical. I will most definitely return to Aressana at some point and I will recommend it to every one. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable stay x

What an amazing hotel in Santorini!

We stayed at the Aressana and couldn’t have been happier. The staff was excellent and made sure we had anything and everything we could ask for. They made us feel like Family!

The food was absolutely out of this world. From the eclectic breakfast that changes daily, to the refreshing lunch that takes Greek cuisine and turns it on its head in the best most creative way, to finally the elegant dinner that ignites all your senses so unexpectedly and this is all done in the most unpretentious way.

Our room was beautiful and we were able to book one of the suites that had direct access to a pool, even though we also enjoyed relaxing at the main pool on sun beds and access to cocktails!!!

On our last day we enjoyed massages at the Spa where again, the staff was great and the products they used were amazing.

Can’t wait to go back to Santorini. We will definitely re-book with the Aressana!

We stayed here for 3 nights in october 2019.It is a lovely hotel, expensive but worth it. From check-in with a wet towel and cold water with cucumber until check out you are treated with a smile. The room was OK, great bed and shower, but small balcony overlooking a construction site. The pool was great as was breakfast. No complaints.

Overall disappointed with this hotel for the price paid
We arrived late at night after having to drag all our luggage up a steep cobbled street as the transfer minibus is apparently not allowed up the street. We were given some lemonade and a cold facecloth and were shown to our room.
The room was beautifully clean with a safe, ironing facilities and coffee machine and kettle. However, it was extremely small and bathroom absolutely minute containing a shower only - no bath. You could barely turn around in the bathroom!
We tried to unpack but there was only a small curtained space for hanging with a few coat hangers. There were no drawers or shelves to put clothes in so we had to basically live out of our suitcases for a week. If you intend to stay here you need to bring as little as possible with you
Housekeeping was good and fresh water was left daily at no extra charge.
All the staff at the hotel were pleasant and courteous but didn’t particularly want to go out of their way to make sure you were happy
We stayed half board but wished we hadn’t. Breakfast was buffet style but particularly disappointing . The cooked choices were lukewarm and unappetising. The only prepared fruit was melon which was the same everyday. There were cold meats and cheese but the breads were not very nice. Some days there were croissants but when I asked for one on a day they were not put out I was told I couldn’t have one! We saw some other guests who had been out and bought some at the local supermarket and were eating them in the dining room!
Evening meal was a la carte only- no option of a buffet choice. The restaurant itself is nice with a good ambiance and the staff attentive. However, you are presented with the same limited menu every night which became very boring after 2-3 nights. Some of the items on the menu had supplements.
The pool area is very compact though there is a pool bar and option of lunch menu.
Towels were provided free, but the sun loungers and beds were all made of fabric and were generally unappealing as they were all stained.
Positionally the hotel is in a very good position if you want access to the Caldera and the shops and restaurants. However, bear in mind there are usually 3 cruise ships docking every day so it is unbelievably crowded and also quite expensive.
In conclusion I would say the hotel is a good place to stay for a couple of nights but not for a week as we did
