Just arrived home after a four night stay and can’t wait to go back. It was fantastic.

Arrangements by email prior to our arrival were excellent - booking was very easy as was arranging transfers and dinner reservations. All emails were answered very promptly.

Upon arrival Sakis the manager and his colleagues were extremely helpful throughout our stay; they couldn’t do enough for you.

We stayed in Venus and we loved it. Second from the top so less stairs than those below; room was fine, bathroom was a good size with walk-in shower and plenty of sun and plenty of shade outside and fantastic views all day and evening. Hot tub was great - mostly in shade and warm rather than hot which is what you need as it is scorchio in the sun and it was good for cooling down.

Breakfast is ordered the evening before and was great; continental or cooked.

And lean over the wall next to La Luna (highest room) doorway to order cocktails from the bar next door after 6pm before you head out for dinner. They were very friendly and offer a small discount to residents; just take your glasses back when you have finished with them.

We ate at Fanari and Lithos which were great; we also booked Naoussa but it was chaos. See separate reviews on these places. And if you fancy some gyros during the day head to Lucky’s. All of these places are within a short walk.

In summary, we struggle to see how you could improve on Asteras if you want to stay in Fira.

Santorini was on our bucket list for a long time. Overall experience was fantastic and staying in Asteras Villas added to it.

We stayed for 4 nights and because our first room (Astrophelia Suite) was available only for 2 nights we stayed for our 3rd and 4th night in the smaller Venus suite.
The views from every single Suite in this hotel are simply breathtaking. The location of this property is fantastic as it is literally in the dead center of Fira and if you feel like grabbing some food or do some shopping you have less than 10 minutes to walk.
The champagne breakfast every morning was great and considering everything that could have been selected this would have been at least €40 per person if purchased ala carte.

Our hostess Eva and her colleague Elena were wonderful and very helpful and attentive to all of our needs and questions. They made a lot of great suggestions regarding other good places to visit on the island.
Overall, I could not be happier......if I come back to the island again, I will FOR SURE consider Astera Villas again.

Amazinggggg zingggg zingggg!! Gosh I dont hv words to describe this amazing place. Its sooo beautiful. You can see the mangificient sunset n the twilight setting in while u just relax on your terrace with a glass of wine. They hv great spread of breakfast - eggs, breads, tea, coffee, fresh fruits, juices, champagne, corn flakes, etc. Costas serves the breakfast to your rooms on the terrace which I call "Breakfast with a View". Hes the one who helps you with your luggage, hot tub etc. Sakis is the Manager who will also help u n guide u. The hotel staff are really good and helpful. The hotel has few Steep Steps which r manageable. It is very close from Fira bus station, main street, cable car, lots of bars n restaurants, etc. If we r ever in Santorini, we r going to stay here. Thank u Asteras for making our stay very memorable!!!

I read lot of reviews for lotta places to select the best one in Santorini and I ended up choosing this place and it was a disappointment.

We stayed in the Venus suite , I choose this room after reading good reviews and there were quite some issues

Pros :
1) Staff are friendly and helpful (Thank you so much to the guys , apologies that I forgot the names)
2) Near by taxi stand and bus station , grocery etc. about 5-10 mins walk .

Cons:
1) I read many people saying view is good , If you’re staying along the Fira caldera view line , every resort has the same view !

2) Venus suite felt outdated , cob webs in the room, the bed frame was worn out , the shower head didn’t work properly , not properly maintained .

3) Many people also said breakfast was good as served to room, I think the biggest issue for me was the execution of it ! It was winter and cold, I like to take hot coffee in the morning , by the time they serve breakfast to the room the hot coffee becomes cold coffee ! Also we were missing few items every day. The food was also not hot by the time they serve it !

4) It was quite windy when we stayed there and the place outside our suite was quite dirty and they didn’t even bother to clean it for 2 consecutive days ! Again it’s off season , so not sure if this would be the case in peak season

5) Hot tub was outside the room and not really private as there’s a bar next to the hotel . Again this is an issue with most of the Santorini hotels ! I’d choose a hotel which has indoor hot tub or a pool if you fancy privacy

Overall I had too high expectations and the place couldn’t simply live up to it !

Kudos to the staff for being helpful , that’s the only positive thing I can think off

The place is very well located in Fira close to everything - transport links, restaurants, shops.
Our suite had a large balcony with a jacuzzi offering stunning views of the caldera and volcano. It had a private entry offering more privacy. The manager was lovely, waited for us when our ferry was late, he provided us with information and advice on various activities on the island.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Asteras Villas and had a great experience.

We stayed in the La Luna suite which was a very large, clean and comfortable space. The terrace was large as well with sun loungers, umbrella, table with chairs, a hot tub and of course that incredible view. As others have mentioned, the La Luna suite is located just under reception so there are not as many steps to your room from the street level. The terrace area is very private.

An awesome perk is that PK Cocktail Bar is just next door to the suite. We ordered cocktails right at the side wall to enjoy on our terrace at sunset. They make excellent craft cocktails and even apply a 10% discount to guests staying at Asteras.

Location is very central in Fira and we walked to everything.

One con was that the towels and robes in our bathroom had a mildew smell to them, even when refreshed on following days. I'm not sure if that was a one-off occurrence during our stay but I'm sure management will rectify.

We stayed here in late September/begining of October and the weather was perfect. We stayed in the Luna suite which was lovely with a jacuzzi and those stunning Santorini views and sunset. The staff were great and couldn't do enough for us, including booking our airport transfers for us. Breakfast had lots of good options. It is situated in the heart of Fira which is great for lots of restaurants, shops etc. We stayed during the pandemic so it wasn't busy but during normal times the location would be extremely busy during the peak months. Perfect last minute break for us in the sun and would recommend if you were looking to stay in the hustle and bustle of Fira.

We picked Asteras Villas for our 30th wedding anniversary because of the great reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Andreas (the manager) is so attentive and helpful that we couldn’t have asked for a nicer guy to have been in charge. We stayed in La Luna suite which is the best room by far. The balcony is adjacent to PK Bar however this is a positive. You can order drinks, listening to great chill out music, whilst looking at the stunning sunset and views. The breakfasts are great and if I had one criticism it would be that there was too much choice. The location of the villas are central in Fira so easy access to restaurants, bars and shops. If you are considering a holiday in Santorini definitely choose Asteras Villas

We recently stayed in the Phoebe suite for our honeymoon, although the most budget of the rooms it was still the epitome of luxury.
The room was spacious with 2 areas, a bed and a day bed. Outside a beautiful hot tub with breathtaking caldera views and a table and chairs. Above the room is a second terrace area where breakfast is served privately and there are sun loungers also.
Breakfast has a great variety of foods delivered to your terrace at a time that suits you.
The staff are super friendly, special thanks to the lovely girl (Russian Greek I believe her heritage was) who went above and beyond at every opportunity. Also shout out to the man of the resort for carrying our bags.
The only downside is it’s 118 stairs from street to room but the views are worth it.

We stayed 3 days at Astera Villas for our first time in Santorini. Everything was great, the location is perfect l, close to all the main restaurants and the bus station.

The view is just amazing, all suites have a wonderful view (much better than most bars or restaurants people line up to get in).

Every morning you get a full breakfast delivered to your room with many choices.

A big thank you to Andreas and his team for making our trip memorable.

I’m not 100% sure but I would guess about 30-60. There are steps EVERYWHERE in Santorini

The jacuzzi is in shade for most of the morning, but it does get some in the afternoon. Depending on the time of year of course. If you’re there l in the summer the shade is welcome as it is quite hot. The rest of the terrace is in full sun from mid morning until sunset. There are two sunloungers and an umbrella in a fixed position - but can be removed for sun worshipers (just can’t be moved to another location).
