We stayed for 4 night and it was amazing. We chose the Junior suite with hot tub and were not disappointed. We had an amazing view of the caldera and all the white houses / restuarants from our room. The hot tub on the balcony was amazing and we got in every night when we got back, it even has jets and lights which were a great touch. John the manager is so helpful with anything, and great touch was free breakfast brought to the room every day with pastries, cheese, ham, jam, fruit and coffee with orange juice. We were right in the centre only a 5-10 minute walk to anywhere. Room was cleaned every day, the pool was a little cold but nice and refreshing in the heat and was not busy. The only downside for us was that the TV was all in German, and only one channel was in English which we found weird. We asked a few times for this to change but they could not fix it so was a bit frustrating considering the price as we like to watch TV when relaxing in bed. Otherwise was good.

We had 10 nights here in the honeymoon suite which was beautiful the rooms are clean the staff are friendly the manager John was so helpful booked us tables at recommend restaurants which we always had amazing views of the sunsets. We done the sunset boat trip which went to various beauty spots would 100% recommend to do that. We also hired a quad for 2 days went all over the island it really is an amazing island we loved every moment.
With Covid it was quiet but that did not ruin it it just made us feel more special not being overcrowded. Can not recommend this place enough it’s outstanding

My husband and I stayed and hotel Thireas and had an incredible time. John the supervisor was very organized and attentive. He arranged for airport pick up and drop off, and took our gigantic luggage up and down the large set of stairs, arranged a cooking class for us, and provided a list of great restaurants that were open during off season.

We stayed in the Athina room which was a gigantic cave. It was a super cool and unique experience. We had a DELICIOUS breakfast brought to our room every morning, and the views from the terrace was not to be believed.

Most importantly the hotel was centrally located to everything. We came during off season which meant a lot of things on the island were closed. Luckily staying in Fira we had a lot of restaurant options to chose from with a very close walk!!

I highly recommend staying at this hotel. John and his team are the best.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay that exceeded our expectations. The views from our balcony were stunning and we were able to watch the sunsets, without having to leave the luxury of our room.
John, the Manager, couldn’t have been more helpful, from arranging transfers from the airport, to meeting our taxi, carrying our (heavy) suitcases down the steep steps to the room and answering all our questions.
You can take a leisurely breakfast taking in the view, as it’s delivered to your room.
There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops within a few minutes walk, so ideally located.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay, that gives you that something extra, I would definitely recommend.

Hotel Thireas was not our first option, but due to COVID lots of hotels were not opened for business. Fira, Santorini is SUPER hilly, so you're walking flights of stairs to get anywhere but Thireas is near the top which does not require too much walking, and is right next to Atlantis hotel which is a great pickup location for taxi's and tour buses etc. John the manager was pleasant, and our room was available earlier than the check in time. We got optimal views of the sunset from our room, and actually preferred to come back to the room for it. The rooms were standard and smaller than expected but it was clean and the air conditioner worked super. If you enjoy something more luxe then I would suggest staying somewhere else, but this is also great as the location is convenient.

We booked for a few nights recently (July 2022) where we thought we booked a room with a private balcony, as per images provided when booking. This was not the case at all - our room had an outdoor area part of the public pool area, completely not private at all and shared with other guests.

Our room was the style of a basement, where parts of the room were so small we kept hitting our head on the ceiling. No room to move around.

The room had no fresh air unless we open the front door, which opened to the public pool area so we had no privacy. Due to this, we had to use the air con which actually made my partner very sick (constant coughing and chest infection as a result of the air con - no issues on our trip until this point). We requested a fan instead of using air con but John (hotel manager) refused to give us one. My partner was sick due to staying in this room which affected our holiday. Once we checked out, he immediately started to get better which was a sign the room was not suitable for guests to stay in at all.

We kept raising these issues with reception, and they kept saying they would speak to the manager - John. Turns out one of the staff was John, so we had been lied to the whole time that our issues were being raised with someone more senior which did not happen. John was extremely rude, disrespectful, not accomodating at all.

We travelled across the world to stay somewhere we thought would be nice. The only good thing about this hotel was the view of the sunset. Do not stay here if you can, John (supposed hotel manager) lied to our face, was rude, didn’t respect our feedback or needs and ruined our stay.

This hotel has everything you need to enjoy the most beautiful holiday in Santorini. I am trying hard to think about one negative but I can’t find anything wrong with the hotel. Stunning views, spacious, super clean hotel. The ladies that bring you delicious breakfast to your balcony every morning were so kind and nice. Absolutely impecable service all around. One thing that you should know about Santorini is that Fira is a very fun town but there is no easy access to the beach so if it’s hot you will need to stay in a hotel that has a pool. This pool was absolutely gorgeous, very private, quiet and with the most beautiful relaxing view. You can watch the famous Santorini sunset from there or from your own private balcony. We stayed in the Hermes room and you can also watch the sunset from you own private jacuzzi! At night it was quiet for sleeping but from the balcony you could hear the party and fun coming from the happy town of Fira. The hotel is steps away from all the restaurants, shops and nightlife. The manager John , the evening staff Elvis and the other gentleman, I forgot his name, were all super helpful even carrying our suitcases up and down. We were so sad to leave the hotel and beautiful Santorini. Highly recommend this hotel.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Fira, I would highly recommend this hotel ! The rooms are modern and clean. These include a breathtaking view of the Caldera sunset from the jacuzzi. The staff are very friendly. In particular John, who helped us settle in and gave excellent recommendations on activities and restaurants for us to visit throughout our stay. Hopefully get to stay Thireas on our next visit!

The location of Hotel Thireas is excellent and the view from the balconies is exactly the ones you see in the pictures. We had our breakfast on one of the terraces overlooking the caldera -- it's priceless. And the breakfast itself is plentiful and excellent.

There is a long sloped and stepped walkway from where your taxi or shuttle will drop you off so if you have wheeled luggage, you will either need to carry it or call reception to have them help you. This is standard for any hotel in Santorini (i.e none of the hotels are directly on the road) so just pack light or use a bag that's easy to carry.

The rooms all have "soundproof" doors which is a necessity given the close proximity between the other rooms within the hotel as well as adjacent buildings. Some people stay out late and come home in a rather loud and careless state so you may still hear them through the doors. Again, this isn't unique to Hotel Thireas.

The room we stayed in ("Poseidon") is a two bedroom, two bathroom cave room. There are no windows in either of the bedrooms so if you don't like being in confined spaces, factor that in.

John, the manager, is welcoming and accommodating. He organized our transit to and from the airport as well as a rental car for one of the days we were on the island. All of them were smooth and fairly priced. He also recommended two very good restaurants (Kipos and Kokkalo which were also excellent).

The only reason it didn't earn a 5 star is that I'm a tough grader and while the accommodations met my expectations, they didn't exceed them to the point of being exceptional. If we return to Santorini, we would certainly stay here again.

I LOVED this hotel. The location is directly in the middle of all of cute and quaint shops and restaurants in Fira but also tucked away from it all for those who want a quiet ending to their busy days. We got upgraded (thanks Nick!) and absolutely loved the room, it had an amazing view and hot tub on the balcony.

John and Nick did an outstanding job at making sure we were happy and also coordinated our wine tour and airport/port transfers which was nice to not have to worry about.

Last, the breakfast on our balcony was the perfect start to each day!
