For many years I have traveled 100 or more days a year.
In SEP-OCT 2022, I traveled for a month in Greece staying at 12 hotels (and on an overnight Ferry). Within this context, Aroma suites ranks at the top of the Greek hotels that I visited.
PROS: The view of the caldera from the patio is spectacular. The breakfast was excellent and starting the day or ending it with a beer enjoying the view from the hotel made me glad to be alive. The Spanish manager made me feel a welcome friend to whom he gave plenty of good advice (including a great restaurant in Pyrgos). He helped with the luggage in the tortuous stairs (a nice touch not frequent in some of the other hotels). The standard room, half buried into the mountain side was comfortable and weird in a nice way.
CONS: High Price, particularly when compared to other Greek locations. The walk from the bus station is not long (a couple 100 meters) but the cobblestones remind me of traveling light.
Santorini is mostly about the white houses perched over the caldera, which make for very pretty views. There is a nice museum in Fira and several beaches, which although decent do not justify a trip to the island in my opinion. A nice view of almost the whole island of Santorini can be seen from Pyrgos. Next trip I will skip Mykonos and Oia in Santorini, staying only in Fira 2-3 nights at Aroma suites
Parting remarks: Greece is wonderful, except for the touristic islands which were crowded even in October and I may skip next time. The Peloponesse resulted better than expected. Athens was safe anytime anywhere I moved, even after midnight. Travel light because not all hotels have elevators and in ancient towns you will climb many stairs and walk over cobblestones. Missing church number 59 was OK, sitting in a café watching people go by and doing nothing was great even for hyper me. I had a wonderful trip.

Spent a couple of nights in the domino’s residence and found it to be just perfect. They arranged our transport from the airport to the accommodation , we were then met by a really friendly and helpful guy who thankfully carried our cases up to the room then he explained everything we needed to know. Only advice I would give is you need to be fit with all the steps other than that this is a perfect location.

My wife and I stayed at the Aroma Suites for our honeymoon. Upon our arrival, we were absolutely blown away by (a) the view from our private balcony and (b) the quality and size of the room. The suite was set into a cave (apparently the largest such cave in Thira) and was huge, featuring a seating area, sleeping area and bathroom / large hot tub which sunk into the rocks! We’ve stayed in a lot of fancy hotels but this place honestly left us speechless - it’s truly unique and you’d struggle to find anywhere like this again. As stated, the accommodation itself was amazing, however, what made the trip really special was Costas (the owner) who made it his mission to provide us with the most pleasant and memorable trip possible. He sat down with us and talked through all of the various options of things to do for our visit, helped with airport transit, and was always on the end of a phone to help.

Our flight back departed late at night so he went as far as to give us access to his brand new hotel down the road while we waited (this included the use of the pool, drinks and showers) free of charge! This hotel (new as of 2019) was also absolutely stunning and well worth a quick Google too (Uma Ray Suites). Our experiences of Costas’ hospitality are reflective of reviews from other guests - clearly he is an outstanding host. All in all, we’ve loved our trip and will definitely be back in the future! 😁

We spent a few nights on Santorini just after New Years Eve and had a wonderful time!

We stayed in the villa on the hill which is seperate to the rest of Aromq Suites and we weren’t disappointed!

In fact we had read how lovely Santorini was in winter but in reality it was more than we could have ever imagined.

Our villa was very spacious and has a stunning view over Fira. The view was spectacular!

While Santorini calls itself an all year round island, it is very quiet, understandably, in January - but the benefits were that we had the place to ourselves.

There are a few restaurants open, which means they were quite busy and full of atmosphere (as they were the only places to go) and there were a few boutiques and souvenir shops open.

There is enough open to create some atmosphere while also feeling like you have the island to yourself. Definitely recommend staying in Fira during the low season as there was hardly anything open in Oia.

The weather was perfect sunshine and very mild and even lovely for swimming.

A big thank you to Christos for making our stay so great. He couldn’t have been more accomodating and met with us to give us all the island information and tips on where to go in the low season as well as organised a fantastic private tour of the island for us.

Our stay here was a dream - especially when we look at photos of Santorini in summer packed with crowds.

While Oia is the perfect summer location for a Santorini sunset, Fira is actually the perfect vantage point in winter which makes this villa even more spectacular.

The service was amazing, very careful and attentionate, which is highly appreciated as a woman traveling alone. The accommodation was very comfortable, quiet, slept like a baby. And most of all the amazing view on the sea, incredible location. I took a yoga class on the terrace and it was amazing.
Go to Aroma Suites with closed eyes, it’s the perfect place to enjoy Fira.

We stayed at the Hotel's private Villa called Dominos. Its just perfect. Very comfortable, in excellent conditions and with a fantastic view to the caldera from its private Jacuzzi. You cant go wrong on this one. The personal from the hotel was always ready to support with any need and they gave perfect suggestion on places to visit and tours to take.

Such a lovely place to stay in Fira, Santorini! Aroma Suites is the perfect location just a scenic few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Gorgeous views, clean, cozy rooms and Costas, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful visit. The Honeymoon suite is a large, beautiful cave room with a hot tub in the room. Breakfast is served overlooking the Aegean Sea. January was the perfect time to travel to Greece as we felt we had it all to ourselves! Definitely take the walk toward Oia. Costas connected us with a lovely driver, Chris, who took us on an exciting tour of the whole island. Santorini is very windy, so leave your hats at home. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed in 3 different hotels during our stay to santorini and this was by far the best. The service was incredible - Costas gave us his mob no. and encouraged us to message at any time of the day should we require anything. Any requests we did have - be in bike rentals, taxis, tours, he was able to arrange with no issue.

The room and views were brilliant and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanna ting a few days here.

This place is gorgeous. From the moment you are met by Costas who is so friendly and knowledgeable about the island to the views over the Caldera. We stopped in Menta room and we woke up to the most amazing vies when we walked out of our door. The suites are near to the shops and restaurants and are so peaceful away from crowds. Beds comfortable, air con great. We sat every night with a glass of wine and watched the sun go down on our balcony so no need to get stuck in the crowds when you have your own private sunset. I really can't say how much this place made our hearts melt. ♥️. We will be back.

Aroma Suites was the hotel with the best view ever for us. The place is located 100 meters from the center of Fira. It has everything you need. Breakfast is served every morning at a time of your choosing on your private balcony next to your private jacuzzi. The view from the balcony is heavenly. You do not need to go elsewhere for the sunset because you can experience it from the balcony/jacuzzi. Costas helped us with our luggages both during check-in and check-out and believe me, tyou need that help. You pay a premium price. It’s high compared to the other cities but it’s not high compared to the other hotels with such a beautiful view in Santorini. If I am back in Santorini, I will not hesitate to book this wonderful place.

Vanilla cave seems to be the biggest one. The built-in jacuzzi is a great advantage. This particular one is located in the lowest level ( a little bit like the basement ) so you have to use stairs each time you want to get in but gives more privacy on the other hand. Honeymoon cave also provides the jacuzzi but smaller one . I think you should avoid rooms with direct acces from the caldera terrace due to lack of the privacy.

Aroma suites doesn’t have a pool. You can use it’s sister properly which is very close. Wasn’t heated when we were there in May. We loved Aroma suites. Great location. Well priced. We were celebrating a special wedding anniversary so we lashed out and stayed in one of their cave suites. Huge. And huge spa. All rooms have amazing views. And all have balconies. Not necessarily private, no wall between, so you can see other guests.
