Nice place with excellent staff. Patrick the care taker is very knowledgeable of the area. Erin does just about everything that needs to be done. I couldn't get over how nice these people are. We will be heading back in the fall.
My wife and I spent a beautiful 3 winter days in the mountain resort. The service was exceptionally good - friendly and competent. The food was delicious, especially the seared duck breast. The staff kept the huge stone fireplace stoked 24x7. There was ample room to socially distance as we are still covid-sensitive. The cross-country ski trails were well groomed (about 12 inches deep), although we chose to snow-shoe. We stayed at Garnet Hill Lodge during the summer and partook of the water activities. This winter stay was a whole new experience and 100% worth it!
We spent 2 nights here on a ski trip to Gore Mountain. The lodge is rustic yet elegant. Room was ample - great lighting - great views - updated bath. The food is fabulous!! Staff is great and the area has so much to offer. We will definitely be going back to experience more seasons there!
Just came back from a mid-week 3 day trip to Garnet Hill. We have been here many times and it always is a great experience. We used the tracked trail system and also went snowshoeing and skiing in the Wilderness area adjacent. The room was clean and quiet, and there were useful additions to manage during COVID, like in-room folding tables and takeout meals. Very friendly service, and breakfast and day pass included with room charge. Only down side is WiFi is weak, and I wasn’t able to make calls, though my my partner could. Will definitely return, winter and summer!
My wife and I were on an alpine ski trip and decided to visit Gore Mountain. We were looking for a nearby place to stay, and Garnet Hill Lodge came up. We are also cross country skiing enthusiasts, so this looked like it could be a great fit. Boy, was it! The lodge is Adirondack all the way - very cozy, and the staff is respectful and accommodating. The bar service was excellent. The dining service was good. With breakfast and access to the cross country ski trails included in the room price, the overall package is a great deal. Our room had no TV or cell service, which was just fine. The lodge did offer WiFi service. On a whim, we took an XC ski lesson, which was fantastic! We’ll definitely return.
