Kathie and Brian are wonderful hosts and the Inn is the perfect place to stay! The rooms are large and comfortable, each have their own bathroom, and are in an historic building. They make a lovely breakfast with homemade bread, eggs, bacon and fruit. The beds are very comfortable too, and they have cable TV and free internet. Hopefully I... More

As a doctor who didn't want to buy a house, I lodged for more than a year at the White Gate Inn. located in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood half a block from the beautiful Oswegatchie River walking trail; one block from my clinic; 3 blocks from the library, farmer's market, and 2 gyms; and 5 blocks from Claxton-Hepburn Medical... We've stayed at the Inn a number of times even though it's 20+ miles from our son's university. The rooms are large with furnishings in line with the historic building. Kathleen and Brian are excellent hosts. Breakfasts were great. Essentially there's nothing to complain about. It's just superb. We arrived with little notice on an emergency trip. Kathleen and Brian... More

A recent day away took us to Ogdensburg to visit the Frederic Remington Museum, something we had wanted to do for a while. The museum and staff are wonderful and we highly recommend it. We chose the White Gate Inn for our overnight stay and, I must say, it is indeed grand and gracious! Brian welcomed us at the door... More

You will not be disappointed in this wonderful B&B. The home is gorgeous and immaculate. The hosts are some of the most friendly and hospitable people you could ever hope to meet. I recently stayed two nights for business and I could not have asked for a better experience. If you find yourself in that area do not pass it... More

Whenever we travel to Ogdensburg, we stay with Brian and Kathie. They are so friendly and accommodating; we feel as if we are with family. The breakfasts are excellent with home made goodies, fresh fruit, and eggs "your style." For those who drink coffee or tea, the Keurig allows one to sample a well chosen array of coffee or tea.... We've become repeat guests at the White Gate Inn in Ogdensburg, and can't wait for our next visit! Each time we visit Ogdensburg, Brian and Kathie welcome us like family members. The rooms are impeccably clean, with super-comfortable bedding, and first-class bathrooms. The breakfasts are custom-cooked and delicious. The whole house is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion, with tastefully-decorated rooms... More

At $110.00 a night including tax this is an antiquated inn. Beautiful old building but rooms and beds leave a lot to be desired. No food or beverages during night. Indoor pool was closed and entire pool room a mess. You could come and go as you please. Parking was a nightmare. We booked 3 nights because the location was... More

My husband and I stayed in the master suite and it was beautiful and comfortable. The antiques are such a nice touch. The breakfasts were cooked to order by the hosts and they did everything to assure a nice stay. I wish all B&B's were like this. I was on a genealogy trip and Kathy was an amazing resource, helping... More

Recently had a 3 night stay here while visiting DD at college. Brian and Kathie are warm and accommodating. Each breakfast was different, DELICIOUS, and nourishing, with an egg, cheese and meat based entree accompanied by fresh fruit salad, and excellent coffee (SO important), and then followed by a freshly baked sweet treat (crumb- topped muffins, apple cake, yum....).
