I started blindly searching for a place to stay in the FLX's earlier this year. Never been there, no idea where to start. Decided central. I kept going back to Driftwood and finally made a reservation for room 3 Roberts Room. It is the smallest room and the bathroom is across the hall, not connected to the room. Just like staying at someones house. Bed was comfortable, night stand dresser, closet space, luggage racks and a small chair. We made do, we were not in the room that much anyway.. Beautiful view of the lake from the room every morning. We enjoyed sitting out back by the lake as much as we could. The evening with a glass of wine, mornings with just one more cup of coffee. Breakfast was delicious all 4 mornings, served with a smile by Tammy. She gave Chef Jim all the Kudo's. The kayaks and all are there for your use. We didn't. Swimming and fishing off the small pier. Nice pier to go out on but it was so peaceful and relaxing to just sit on the back porch and soak in the lake, the view, the beautiful sky. We had just enough rain one evening and it produced a double rainbow. Breath taking to say the least. And the Minks were around. Looked like maybe 2 Minks reside near the B&B as well. It was a wonderful stay, just what we needed to really relax and unwind. Jim and Tammy seem to cover all the bases, everything you could want or need. Fridge in a kitchenette with a microwave, dishes etc for all to share. Info handy on dining, take out delivery. If you need a bottle of FLX wine they have some available for you to purchase. We had a very nice and relaxing stay, which is what we had hoped for. It was a lovely stay and we enjoyed our mornings and evenings there. If you want relaxation this is an ideal place.

Driftwood was perfect from start to finish. True, the glorious fall weather helped to make our stay even more enjoyable, but the Inn’s location right on the lake, it’s warm and generous hosts and it’s super clean, conformable rooms were the real reasons.

We couldn’t recommend factoring Driftwood Inn in to your finger lakes stay more highly. In fact I would say if you are staying around Cayuga Lake you should make sure you do!

Thanks for having us Jim & Tammy, it really was a special place to visit.

Our stay at the Driftwood was a wonderful experience. It is a great location to Ithaca, the falls, and the wineries. The house is charming and historic. We were greeted by Tammy who gave us a quick tour and made us feel welcomed. The view is breathtaking of Lake Cayuga, the bedroom has a beautiful view of the lake as well, the king bed was comfy, the shower and tub jets were powerful. There is a small kitchen area upstairs to store our snacks, chill our drinks, etc. The temperature of the room was just right, but we had access to adjust it. The apple cinnamon French toast breakfast was delicious. It was an easy check in and check out. Loved it!!!

Tammy was a great host, and we loved our two nights in the penthouse. Full hot breakfast was very tasty. First time in a bed & breakfast so we were not sure what to expect. We loved it, looking for dates when we can go back. Kayaks, was a nice touch, enjoyed being on the water.

On the recommendation of a friend, we spent the weekend at Driftwood Inn Bed & Breakfast. Owners Jim and Tammy are the most friendly and inviting people! We felt welcomed the minute we stepped into the Inn. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the amazing lake views. We'd heard about how great Jim's breakfasts were and he definitely delivered with made-to-order omelets one morning and fluffy, blueberry pancakes the next morning. Tammy told us a bit about the history of the Inn and really made us feel at home. We'll be back!

We stayed in the Guest Room, and it was lovely. We woke up to a beautiful view of lake each morning. The room was comfortable and cheerful. Jim and Tammy are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious.

We enjoyed the paddle boat, sitting on the dock and back porch watching the sunsets, and taking walks along the road that runs along the lake. it rained a good bit of the time we were there, but that wasn't an issue. While it rained we sat on the back porch and watched the lake and enjoyed the comforts of our room.

When we felt social we could enjoy the company of the other guests, but there was always somewhere to go that allowed us to be alone. And great access to the wineries and Lively Run Goat Farm.

We have stayed in a B&B on the other side of Seneca, and it was nice, but the setting of Driftwood can't be matched. Every time I looked out the window I relaxed a little more. Really a perfect place to stay.

Very charming and cozy. Jim and Tammy are wonderful hosts. The breakfast is just as good, if not better, than any restaurant. The location is unbeatable. Right on the water, just step out the back door for swimming, kayaking, or just chilling. There's a water to wine boat tour that leaves from the dock literally next door. The inn is close to a ton of wineries and cideries, more than we could visit in one weekend!

We stayed in the "Penthouse" (aka the attic) which was very comfortable. If you don't mind the additional flight of stairs you have a whole floor to yourself and a great view of the lake. Would definitely visit again.

I went to the Driftwood Inn with my boyfriend at the end of July 2020. I was a little hesitant traveling due to the COVID 19 pandemic. My concerns were alleviated, as the inn was very clean. Tammy and Jim did a great job of ensuring that our needs were met. The breakfast was great and they offer substitutions as well. We took advantage of taking the kayaks out on the lake as well as enjoying the sunset on their porch. I would highly recommend the Driftwood Inn and look forward to returning soon!

Quiet, peaceful, and beautifully situated on the edge of Cayuga Lake. My stayed in the "Sewing Porch," a very nice room on the second floor opposite the lake. The bed could have been firmer, the couch has seen far better days, and the room would have benefited with the addition of a desk and chair. The adjoining bathroom was small (it is an old house after all) but nice. The home was nicely decorated with a decidedly homey feel in the common areas. There is a lovely porch with lots of seating overlooking the lake. Breakfast was very good and portions were perfect. Their dinner recommendation of "Little Venice" in nearby Trumansburg was outstanding. (Apparently they don't give Google money because they don't pop up in a search for restaurants in the area.)

Great place, wonderful hosts, and an awesome location.

We were delayed with our arrival on the first day, but Jim and Tammy were very accommodating. We arrived much after dark and could not appreciate the great view of the lake from our room until morning. Nice classically appointed B and B room with what you need. We could not totally appreciated the beautiful porch facing the lake because it was November, but I am certain that it is delightful in the warmer months. Jim makes a great breakfast every morning. They both were great with recommendations of restaurants, shopping, wineries and local hiking. A pleasant and relaxing stay.
