Tried this hotel after staying previously at a Name Brand in same area. Hands down like Microtel way more. I just need a; clean comfortable bed, clean room, clean bath, good wifi, tv channels to choose from, skip pool, restaurant, and I'm happy. Microtel delivered. I really like the simplicity of space. Especially liked window that opens, if its only 8" it lets in fresh air and still provides security. The smell test was neutral, no chemical cleaning odors or nasty musty smells from heat/ac unit. So they are cleaning these. Other hotel we stayed at the room smelt like it was about to burn down when we turned on the heater. So much dirt, dust was burning. Yes I'll be staying at Microtel hotels on future travels. Improvements they could consider;
replace carpet with Luxury vinyl flooring to keep with your "clean" reputation. Change location of TV from above armoire (kills the neck to watch) to above the
desk area in place of the mirror. Add a bedside lamp for the 2 queen rooms. The overhead above bed florescent lights are too bright. I like to read late but my other guest wouldn't be able to sleep due to this. Breakfast was slim pickings but that's ok. As long as the coffee is good and hot, it was. Good job.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Seldom have I stayed at a hotel that was this sparkling clean, with a cheerful and helpful staff member always present at the front desk to help in any way possible. The location is very convenient to have access to anywhere in the area and there is a wide selection of restaurants and easy access to shopping areas with most major stores. I was visiting family and stayed for a week - it was always great to come back to a clean, peaceful room with all the amenities I needed right there. Perfect place to stay whenever you are in the area and want to have a care-free place to stay.

I have limited my travel significantly since March 2020. However, this Microtel has set a very high standard for being a location where I felt safe and protected. All precautions are being observed and the entire building is spic and span. Very reassuring. The front desk personnel and housekeeping staff were very pleasant, professional, and helpful. If all Microtel properties are as outstanding as this one we will be looking for others whenever we travel.

This hotel is located on the main "drag" in this small city of Plattsburgh, NY. Places to eat are very close by and so is shopping. The hotel was clean and quiet. It does lack a pool, a spa tub, and a fitness room. The complimentary breakfast is minimal at best and is located in the small lobby where you check in. We stayed here a night for my wife's birthday because the room has a jet tub. Few hotels have that option. My wife was cold in the room and the heat was set at 70. I beleive we tried setting it up a little higher but it revert back to 70. She's used to 78 or more at our house.

We recently stop here when trying to get ahead of a snowstorm. We were surprised to find they still had one room available. We enjoyed our impromptu stay. The staff was amazing and so kind at check in, check out, in the halls and at breakfast. Our room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and because we were on the third floor, we found it quiet as well. The amenities in the room were sufficient. The shower/tub was the best as there was good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, but no coffee maker, which was ok as tea and coffee are available at all times in the lobby. The continental breakfast was sufficient. They had cold cereals, bagels, bread, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, a pancake machine, as well as the usual beverages. We also enjoyed the 11:00 checkout as we had arrived late as this wasn’t a planned stay. We are so glad we decided to stop and the hotel was easy to find, off route 87. It was surrounded by restaurants and shopping opportunities. The price was great and the accommodations as well. I hope you stay here as you will not be disappointed.

Check in was easy and quick. Everything was clean, tidy, well kept and operational. Bed was comfortable. Keep in mind that Microtel rooms are typically smaller than other chains but there was sufficient room for 2 adults. Lighting over the bed was great. Breakfast was good. No hot items but had a variety of fresh fruit and individually wrapped pastries. For those needing gluten free items, there was Chex, in its own dispenser, hard boiled eggs, yogurt as well as the fruit. The hotel is set back off the main road, so street noise wasn't an issue. The room could have used more electrical outlets but we were able to charge our items. Will return if in the area.

Staff was very professional. There was hand sanitizer throughout the hotel! The price was right. Breakfast was excellent and coffee and hot cocoa throughout the day and evening. We were there for a motorcycle event and they even provided towels to wipe our motorcycles off after it rained.

Great service and rooms. The staff went out of the way to deliver a top notch experience. When traveling to Plattsburgh NY I highly recommend you choose the Microtel. I was very impressed with the attention to detail at this location.

This hotel is SUPER CLEAN and extremely well maintained. We have been coming here since it opened and it still looks brand new. They pay attention to all the details and provide outstanding customer service as well. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The check in and out procedures are very quick and easy. We have been to many Microtels along the East Coast and the Plattsburgh location is the best. The price is very reasonable for such an outstanding property!

A surprising hidden gem in Plattsburgh New York. The hotel is very clean and very comfortable at a great price.
In the room rate a complementary breakfast is included which has coffee tea cereal, muffins bagels, cream cheese butter, as well as make your own pancakes.
The staff is very friendly and forthcoming. Would definitely stay at this location again

Thank you for your question! Although we have no pool on the property, we are located close to the Plattsburgh city beach and a location that has a large public pool. Our front desk staff can provide directions to both at any time. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions!
