All the towels and bed sheets in our room were dirty with terrible stains on them. As a result, we got a new room with only one towel dirty which was later replaced with a clean one. Unfortunately, in that new "good" room the A/C did not work well or, to be more exact, could not be controlled, only worked in one position, the temperature control knob was missing. We had to open a window and survived the night. The net on the window had many holes in it. Fortunately, there were not too many mosquitos that night, so we did not suffer too much.
Also, the included breakfast was a joke. We could not eat any of things offered and there was a very few choices to begin with. Another thing - we initially arrived an hour early to official check-in time at 3 pm and we were told that if we want to check-in immediately we would have to pay $35 extra per room. We refused and came back after 3 pm and it turned out that 2 of our 6 rooms were not even ready. We asked for the refund as a result, almost jokingly, and, of course, were refused.
Also, the room's card keys stopped working - twice, once at night and once in the morning, so we had to go to reprogram them, but that was the least of our problems.
Overall, our experience was not pleasant at all.
I would never stay at that hotel again, even for free.

We stayed here before and really enjoyed it but the place has really gone down. They used to have a heated pool and now the water was ice cold. We had a room with a fridge and a microwave and the fridge was not working and they could not bother to fix it or give us another one. We had three pillows in the room and asked for one more and was told we could not have another one. The breakfast served white bread, not even whole wheat and there was butter and peanut butter but no jam.

1 the water to the toilet was shut off. We turned it on so we could flush it but in the morning, there was water on the floor.
2. Cleanliness is OK but there's definitely some repairs that need done like the plumbing in the bathroom, the grab bar in the tub doesn't look very sturdy, the ceiling needs fixing
3. While there's wifi in the lobby, it's not in the rooms.
4 the one double bed was wet under the bedspread. Looked like water.
5 the a/c shuts off too early and so the room doesn't really get cool enough. We had it set at 68 but it shut off around 72 or even higher.
6. There was no kleenex in the room and the front desk said it was on order.
7. The lone coffee cup in the room was dirty. We asked for another, none arrived.
8. The man at the front desk could speak understandable english with an accent.

I gave this motel a five-star rating because I really enjoyed my three night stay there. Its location is outside of town, so I felt safe there; it’s a minute or two off of the expressway; a five-minute drive into the quaint town Plattsburgh; 10 minutes away from box stores, shopping and chain restaurants; and approximately 45 minutes south of the Canadian border. Gus’ is a great dinner across the street from the motel and a gas station is adjacent to the motel property. I highly recommend the Super 8 in Plattsburgh and would definitely stay there again.

The property was clean, as was my room. The room was well appointed for a business traveler. The front desk person was polite, friendly, professional and helpful.

To be complete with this review I will add that the breakfast left a lot to be desired. There weren’t any plastic spoons to eat my cereal but coffee and juice were available. I’ve had better continental breakfasts.

There was a washer and dryer available to guests. But the laundry room didn’t have a change machine to operate the machines. The laundry room could have used a waste basket and a wrack to hang clothes.

The indoor pool wasn’t yet opened but it sure looked welcoming.

The room was well appointed with serval amenities: refrigerator, freezer, cabinets (without any dishes or flatware), a single stove top, microwave, a coffee maker with coffee packets, iron and ironing board, hair drier, wifi and a land line phone. The room was tastefully decorated, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. My complaints/reservations were there wasn’t adequate closet space, the dresser drawers were modern and not your typical drawers to unpack as normal and one of my towels had holes in it. (I felt it was a huge oversite by housekeeping.) I was far enough from the main desk that I felt my wifi was a bit slow. Even with all that being said, from a person who lives in motels an average of 40 days a year, I really liked this place and aside all the little things I just mentioned, I will still give the Super 8 Plattsburgh a five-star rating. It a fine, comfortable motel for all of us who travel on a budget and still appreciate a nice place to sleep.

This hotel is truly terrible. The rooms are not clean and full of flies. The pool is super cold and the water is a questionable color. Breakfast is supposedly included but this morning there was no orange juice, no jam. Just a jar of peanut butter that everyone sticks their knife in.
Much too expensive for the quality.

the room was disgusting, fridge hasn't been cleaned in a long time, there was mold around the inside of the door. trash was not emptied. soap was used. they would not switch me to another room! who rents a room that has not been cleaned? manager took 25 minutes to come to the room and all he did was empty the trash and replace the soap. i know its a super 8, bit its owned by wyndham i expect more from them. i will never stay at this place again. and it was too much trouble for them to change the name on the resevation to my sons name so he could use his aaa discount. but i guess if i had to work in this igusting place i would want to do as little as possible too.

This hotel is the summum of cheapness. Paid 100$ for 1 night. The clerk was alone to do everything, was not curteous. Our stay included breakfast, which constisted of white bread toaster, fruit looks, cheerios, cows milk only no options, butter, milk and orange juice, coming from the clerks room.
The indoor pool was not clear, not clean, the carpets in the hotel were not vacuum, not cleaned. The towels in our room were not clean. The hotel stinked and there was someone stying at the hotel that had a dog that barked all evening into the night. The clerk never communicated the wifi password to us.

Didn't have my reserved room type, and given a different room type. Then was charged the difference.
Other amenities (or lack thereof) were not as surprising at the price point (weak fixtures, no remote for TV in room, limited breakfast selection, tissues for napkins, etc.) Cannot in good faith recommend this property.

Much too expensive, strong smell of mold and mildew apparent in the bathroom and dirty bath. Fluids on dirty blankets, mirrors and windows. Lots of mold in the swimming pool, very dirty windows, water too cold. Small lunch and finished at 9am. Lack of courtesy from staff and indifferent to customer comments. Not recommended location.

What time does the pool close?
Answer from Rebecca Hunnicutt
I apologize for the lengthy delay in a response. We have had some change over in management. The pool is open Monday thru friday 3pm-9pm..Saturday and Sunday 9am-9pm.
Debbie V asked a question Nov 2016
do you have an indoor pool
Answer from Rebecca Hunnicutt
We do have an indoor pool! At the moment however (11/30/16) it is receiving a much needed makeover, new paint etc... So it is currently closed to allow the paint the maximum time it needs to dry. This is so that when we turn on the humidifier and the pool heater, the paint will remain in pristine condition! Feel free to call me if you have any questions by calling the hotel directly!
Answer from Rebecca Hunnicutt
If it accepts a standard outlet, such as an extension cord, there are several outlets outside that are mostly used by people who come to charge their boating equipment. This might be a lower voltage than a car charging station though, and ours are run on solar, so the voltage might not be ideal for your method of transportation. I don't know much about electric cars sadly, but if there's a special outlet that it requires, then unfortunately no, but if it's like a standard outlet with surge protector, yes. However! I looked up some information and there is a Tesla charging station at the Champlain Shopping Centre, about 10-15 minutes from our property, again I'm not sure if those are different charging than your vehicle. Hopefully some of my information was helpful, and feel free to call us directly if you have any questions!
