The sign says they were established in 1927. (And the bed linens haven't been changed since.) Upon our arrival we were treated to the Exterminator running around the perimeter of every building spraying what only could be described as a vile, insect/rodent control fluid. As we were eating our terrible lunch at the over priced BBQ area we were overwhelmed...

By far the best price you'll find for what you get. the people who work there are some of the nicest that I've found in NY, and that's saying something! Service was great as we arrived late in the night and had a ton of fun at the community Bon fire. It's rustic setting was pleasant and the accommodations were...

These cabins could be unique and extremely charming. Unfortunately, they're only unique - and not in the right way. The cabin I rented was completely and utterly neglected. Everything inside and out was clunky, broken in some way, borderline dirty and plain ugly. Mosquito nets were torn down, doors would hardly close correctly, one window was simply boarded up and...

We stayed this past weekend. Bathroom smelled terrible. It smelled like the septic tank was leaking into the bathroom. The floor was spongy and my husband thought he was going to fall through it. Friends of ours rented another cabin and the bathroom floor tilted to one side. When they would sit on the toilet it felt like they were...

My husband and I stayed at this property for 2 nights this past weekend with another couple. Is it a 5 star resort? No, but it doesn't profess to be. Every description labels it as "rustic" and that is exactly what you get. What more can you really expect for $85/night for a 2 bedroom cabin? The linens were clean,...

Stopped here for dinner after a weekend of camping in the woods with family. During the course of dinner we noticed there was some rooms available. Got a room at $106 for the night. As soon as I put the key in and opened the door there was a big stain in the middle of the floor. The room looked...

Being tent campers we're used to roughing it but this place is beyond belief. The "recently renovated" cabins may have been painted 15 years ago but that's the kindest thing I can say. You'll find old furniture, a musty odor, doors & windows that don't lock, & possibly the worst experience of your life here. We left after one night,...

A friend and I stopped at the Tail o' the Pup for some BBQ. We were staying at the dismal Hotel Saranac and were looking to switch hotels. We saw they had cabins advertised for $95. After ordering a pulled pork sandwich to share, we decided to see if there was vacancy. There was and they let us take a...
