This is a charming, historic inn in Rhinebeck, NY. We loved the food and ambiance of the tavern inside, as well as the dining area in a greenhouse (breakfast is served there each morning.) The lobby has a wonderful sitting area with a crackling fire so a winter visit to this inn is wonderful. There are fun, unique shops in...

We went one day early... Perfect. Everything was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. No wonder so many famous people and locals alike rave about it! Fantastic establishment. Magnificent food, historic landmark, and lavish decor. Flawless service.

We stayed at the Dalameter property which was more like a motel than a historic room. No rug on the (fake wood linoleum) floor. Small TV so far from bed you could barely see it. Way overpriced with beat up furniture and uncomfortable bed. The tavern is lovely, but our food was delayed more than an hour and was mediocre....

We visited the Tavern at the Beckmann because we were looking for an authentic New England menu in a surrounding once visited by George Washington. We were here 5 years ago and hesitated to visit again thinking it may not live up to our memories but now the bar is set higher. We loved the butternut squash soup, pot pie...

Wanted to book a room. Website provides no prices. Called. On hold for quite a while. Was steered to room they wanted me to book. Uncomfortable - so we passed on the room. Arrived in Rhinebeck and stopped in for a drink and bite. Lobby furniture old and shabby. Bartender a delight. Waitress, not so much. So much potential wasted...

We have come to this inn for a very long time. We stayed at the Delamater section and were always very comfortable and happy there...until we got a dog...The pet friendly rooms are smaller, have no fireplaces, and are situated next to the parking lot. We feel that we should not be penalized for having a dog, but we accepted...

My main motivation for staying at the Beekman Arms was its history. I managed to book the George Washington rooms off-season for a visit with family in the Hudson Valley. The lobby is not well lit, the floor boards squeaked in our room, but the rooms were clean and the plumbing and TV were up-to-date. A reasonable rate for all...

Let me start out by saying my husband and I do a getaway here once a year and have done so for the last 17 years. We traveled with our dog this time. The motel room in back had been partially remodeled. No carpet, flooring which we liked. The weather was bad. Snow, slush, rain. It would have been nice...

We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Hyde Park to Lyons, NY. We ate in the old section of the restaurant. It is very dim there so if you have an eye sight problem you should probably get seated in the front atrium area. We had a very nice lunch, 2 had the excellent turkey pot pies...

The Beekman Arms is really a large group of buildings in addition to the main inn structure. We stayed at the Townsend property, which is immediately adjacent to the inn. Although a breakfast is included, it is best to avoid it. Our room was one of only four in the building, so it was relatively quiet and seemed to be...
