This is a small, older motel. The rooms were clean & comfortable with pine tables & entertainment center/dresser. The bathtub, toilet & tile were new-not sure about the sink. Water pressure was good. There was a hair drier, iron & tabletop ironing board, microwave & minifridge, flatscreen TV. We were on the second floor & it was quiet, not much...

Rooms currently are fairly old and bathrooms are very old looking. We stayed there for graduation weekend (RIT and UR and also Lilac festival) so there was literally nothing else of a reasonable price. Honestly for the price the stay was just fine- clean, not too far from the city. They seemed to be in the midst of renovating, so...

I visited this motel this past weekend for a quick over night so we could go to dinner and have wine and not drive back home to the Finger Lakes. Big mistake choosing this place. From the moment we entered we were skeptical. First, the front desk guy, an employee, not the owner examined my identification like he thought I...

I booked through Hotwire, and utilized their "blind booking" option. I have done this nearly 100 times with Hotwire, and never once was unhappy. Consider this place the reason I am contemplating never using Hotwire again. The people were nice, and it is a family owned establishment. However, it is not a "hotel". It is a roadside, "trucker-esque" establishment that...

Please call me as this person has also left a negative review of another Rochester hotel and what they are saying is very insulting and should not be allowed. Have you verified this as this entire review makes no sense Silas Patel President Towpath Motel 585-313-8087

The Towpath is a modest sized hotel with a good-hearted, attentive and friendly staff. The rooms are well maintained, clean and nicely furnished, with microwaves, fridges and a simple, full service bathroom, in addition to comfortable beds. The location is great for those not wanting to be on the highway, yet with quick access to the interstate routes into the...

The Towpath Motel is run by a man named Shailesh Kadakia whom is very accommodating. He has dedicated his life to running and maintaining this Motel and did his best to make sure all my needs were taken care of. I liked the breakfast they offered (Coffee,Milk, Juice,Packaged pastrys and cereal) it was simple but, for what they charge per...

Two days after I left the motel, my head began to itch, especially behind my ears and at the back and top. I thought it was hives and after 6 weeks of trying to treat it, humiliatingly, painfully discovered I was covered with headlice. The treatments have been painful, pulling with a fine tooth comb, plus I itched and scratched...

To help us better understand the issue in the room, what room did you stay in so we may inspect it? We are taking this as a serious issue and willl address if it truly is in the bed or room as we pride ourselves on clean rooms. Please accept out apologies Thank you SP

An independent motel that is clean but spartan. The room was large and had a roll away bed included that I didn't need or want. The heater was slow to heat, very noisy and smelled very musty. I declined to use it. The wifi was often disconnecting me. For ten dollars more the Comfort Inn about a half mile away...

Manager was very accommodating and very helpful. Good room and amenities for the price. Breakfast is simple, mostly packaged foods. Area is quiet and suburban, but within ten-twenty minutes of downtown by car or bus. Rochester's bus system is excellent, and there's a stop right outside the hotel. Would stay there again.
