My husband and I took a last minute trip to the Finger Lakes last week. We usually do not stay in bed and breakfasts, but we wanted to try one out. Luckily, I found the Inn at Varick on the internet and decided to give it a chance. I am so thankful we did! Everything about the inn was perfect! The beautifully remodeled inn was just opened this year. It's located along the Cayuga Lake. We stayed in the Lakeview room with a large private bathroom. Every morning we woke up to breathtaking sunrises on the lake and a huge breakfast! Breakfast included yogurts, breads, waffles, and breakfast casseroles. I also suggest walking around their property, which Bob encouraged. They have a dock along the lake, orchards, a pond, and of course vineyards. Eating grapes off a vine with the sun rising in the background is something I will never forget. And of course, there was wine. And lots of it! Every evening we had hors d'oeuvres (which had enough food to be considered a large meal) and wine/beer hour. It was nice to relax and meet other guests/talk with Bob. Another perk of staying at the inn is you get a welcome package plus free wine tasting at the winery and 5% discount. Staying at the inn made our trip to the Finger Lakes the most enjoyable yet! I would highly suggest staying here!

This is a beautiful inn and Taylor is a wonderful innkeeper. She was so friendly and cooked a delicious breakfast for us. The rooms were comfortable, clean and very quiet. We sat on the porch at night with a glass of wine and truly enjoyed the view of the lake and the beauty of our surroundings. The winery is terrific, too.

This Inn goes over the top in hospitality. The charm of the Inn coupled with the warm hospitality from Bob, Taylor and Drew makes this a perfect weekend getaway. The rooms are beautiful, the wine and food delicious. The genuine attention given to guests to be sure they are enjoying their stay makes this Inn particularly special. We can't wait to book the next trip here.

We stayed at the Varick Inn for two nights this week and loved it! The house is beautifully done, set on a huge and beautiful property directly across the street from Cayuga lake. The room was beautifully appointed, the deck overlooking the lake was an awesome and peaceful place to sit for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. There are only 4 rooms, so it was quiet and quaint and a perfect getaway. Hop across the street and you can sit right next to the lake in a comfy Adirondack chair by day and with the fire pit lit by night. You can walk to the winery through the cherry orchards and enjoy a wine and food paring (most wineries just give you wine, but the Varick Winery pairs it with cheeses or chocolates depending on the wine). Jen and Bob and the staff were awesome; making us feel very special. I highly recommend the Varick Inn for your next (or first) trip to the Finger Lakes!

My mom and I ended our road trip at the Varick Inn and we wish we had stayed here the whole entire time! There is not one bad thing about this place. We started at their winery and got great treatment from Rebecca, who let us try unlimited wines! Then, we were greeted by her Uncle Bob at his Inn with a lovely gift box. From the moment pulled up to Varick, we were treated like royalty. As we waited for the appetizers, Bob offered us complimentary glasses of wine, which ended up being two bottles of wine! We had mentioned to bob that we were exhausted from a long trip and he told us not to worry about going out for dinner and that he would take care of us. He actually made us homemade meatballs for dinner along with all of the other appetizers! After this, Bob insisted on starting a campfire by the lake for us and didn't give up until it started. The breakfast in the morning was incredible and there was so much to choose from. In the morning, we had to get on the road earlier than the winery opened so Bob actually opened the winery early for us so that we could buy wine and other goods! He was so sweet.

The inn itself is incredibly beautiful and cozy. Great views and access to the lake. The bedroom was fabulous and had a big jet bathtub. We could not have asked for a better experience!

We will definitely be staying here again and for way longer next time. Totally worth every penny. Highly highly recommend! Thank you Bob for making this the experience of a lifetime.

We stayed one night at this beautiful inn and will return and stay longer! Hospitality was remarkable. We felt like special guests while at the some time feeling "like home"! The grounds are so pleasant. Lots of inviting chairs each with a view of the lake. We enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast on the side porch - delicious! Had wine and lots of appetizers last evening on the back deck. Good food and calling it an appetizer doesn't really explain the kinds of snacks and the generous portions! Our room - Lakeview - was clean and so nicely decorated. Hard to decide between enjoying the room or enjoying the grounds! When we arrived there were cookies - and a very nice gift box waiting in the room. Finally, the wine tasting at the winery was the best we have ever experienced! Bob did a great job with that too! This place is worth the trip wherever you are coming from!

We booked at The Inn at Varick Winery and were not disappointed. Booking online through their website was easy. When we arrived Jennifer was waiting for us with fresh baked cookies and a detailed review of what was available and expected during our stay. The grounds include over a hundred acres of orchards, vineyards and manicured lawns. Aside from the main house and barns, they have a boathouse and fire pit area on the lakeshore. This was a great way to enjoy more wine from their winery. We were welcomed to explore and enjoy the beautiful grounds at our leisure. Our room was very clean and the inn was comfortably appointed. The charm of wide-plank floors of this inn and stone work from the early 1800’s combined with the modern, luxurious bathrooms made for the perfect mix of old and new. The nightly hors d’oeurvres were delicious, plentiful and matched with wines of our choosing. The breakfasts were also delicious and we were able to select our preference of breakfast casserole in addition to the many other breakfast items available. We tried four different breakfast casseroles and all were excellent.
We’ve stayed in a number of B&Bs over the years and this was by far our favorite. Bob & Jennifer were wonderful hosts and all the other staff members followed suit. A visit to the adjacent Varick Winery for a complimentary tasting was just another treat afforded to us during the stay.

My wife and I recently spent the weekend at The Inn at Varick Winery. It was our first time in the Finger Lakes and we picked the lake we were on based on our interest in staying at The Inn at Varick Winery. We arrived later than we would have liked to on Friday but the inn keeper Taylor was so gracious and friendly. The weather was perfect. The inn was perfect. The room was perfect. The wine at Varick was delicious. Everything honestly was perfect and Taylor tied all of this together for us by being an outstanding inn keeper. She is a super cook and the breakfast was awesome. We are excited that we found this wonderful inn and location on Cayuga Lake. We will be going back regularly.

What a wonderful Inn. The large rooms are beautifully decorated with first class linens. Taylor and Drew were great hosts and they made sure everything was perfect. Strolled over to the winery on a sweltering afternoon and sampled the wine and treats they offered . Quite busy that day. The Inn offered hors d'oeuvres in the evening with plenty of wine or beer. Had a great chat with Taylor and Drew over wine that night.
We plan on returning in the fall.

I can not begin to say enough about the Varick Inn. In fact, I'm almost afraid to say too much because I almost want to keep this place a secret. But it's not fair to other's and to the Innkeepers Taylor and Drew. They are an adorable couple who along with the Inn and Vineyard owner, Bob, go above an beyond to make each an every guest feel special.
We recently stayed at the Varick Inn to celebrate a friend's birthday. I can say, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were treated like royalty. The Inn is very clean and tastefully decorated. You almost feel like you are staying in Chip and Joanna's home. The welcome gift was wonderful and the rooms well appointed. Taylor was there when we needed her and always willing to accommodate.
The vineyard was fun as well and perhaps my favorite on the lake. It provided some type of pairing with each and every tasting. Bob is super friendly and generous.
We will be back for sure. Already looking into other weekends to share this place with family and friends.
