We really enjoyed our stay! The room was awesome, roomy, comfortable bed, clean, etc. We received excellent service, any time we needed something they helped us. The breakfast was very good. They had their first evening social in 3 yrs, it was very nice. They had wings, meatballs, chocolate covered fruit, etc. I overheard the chief talk about what he planned on making for future events, it all sounded very good. The hotel is in walking distance to many restaurants & stores.

This was my first time staying in a hotel since the COVID-19 crisis began. I wasn't sure what to expect. Being from NY State, I wanted to get away for a few days while staying within our state due to quarantine rules, etc. Being a huge fan of the Saratoga Springs area, I decided to give the Hampton Inn a try.
I was very pleasantly surprised. I had read in advance about the Hilton CleanStay program, but when I arrived at the hotel I noticed just how seriously the staff was taking the whole situation. There were wipes and hand sanitizer available at various spots throughout the lobby and hand sanitizer available at every elevator entrance. Masks are also required in any public location (basically everywhere except your room). Breakfast is still being served, and you have the option to take it back to your room, or you can now sit in the dining room (adjustments have been made so that tables are farther apart). The pool is also open, but the hotel requires reservations to use it (a smart move in my opinion).
I was in the area early so I decided to try to see if I could check in. I was assisted by Savannah who couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. She advised me that the head of housekeeping was inspecting the room for cleanliness (a new norm under the current situation) and invited me to hang around for a bit until it was ready. This reassured me that the hotel was doing all they could to keep us safe.
As for the hotel itself, the room was the cleanest I've had, a true testament to housekeeping. I had a room with a balcony that overlooked Broadway, and the balcony was an impressive size, and the room was comfortable.
Parking is free but you need a room key to enter the garage. You can also use Hilton's Digital Key here (an app on your phone that will unlock doors and the parking garage), which I used for the first time and was very impressed with.
The location is excellent -the shops and restaurants of Broadway are only a few steps away, and Congress Park is a short walk as well. Saratoga Race Course wasn't open during my stay, but it is about a mile to the East, either a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive.
I definitely recommend the Hampton Inn Saratoga Springs, not only for the cleanliness , but for the helpful and friendly staff, the location, and the comfortable rooms!

The Hampton Inn in downtown Saratoga has everything one could expect from a quality chain hotel. There is a fairly good level of cleanliness, service and aesthetics. They are taking many precautions during Covid, such as putting “clean stickers” on the doorway so one knows when you first the room it’s been cleaned, Plexiglass at the front desk and breakfast; and the having hand sanitization stations everywhere. The included breakfast was typical continental style, for the time being they are serving guests a limited menu as opposed to the buffet style they normally have. The breakfast selection is fair, nothing to write home, some hot dishes, pastries, cereal and such. Our room was large, clean and fairly quiet given the size of the hotel. The negatives include we found the beds were on the softer side, at least to our taste, not to the point of being uncomfortable but noticeable. Also the elevators are on the slow side, you may be waiting a while for a free one, this is compounded by the fact no one wants to share them due to Covid, this was very noticeable during check out time. Positives include the central location in downtown Saratoga Springs, the hotel is very close walking distance to many local restaurants and shops; there is free and easy parking; and lastly it is just a decent chain hotel at an affordable price. The hotel has an indoor pool which seems very popular with families that have children. There is also a hot-tub, which was surprisingly open for use, however we did not use either. Overall I have no serious problems with this hotel, a nice place to stay, not memorable but decent.

Great location. Indoor parking. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Great breakfast area with fire places. Here is the bad part - when you check in, they tell you that a pool's capacity is 10 people max and you need to reserve. But they put more than 10 on a list (14-16) and don't warn you. When you ask why put more than 10 people on a reservation - they don't give you a straight answer. But when you try to get in last minute they tell you it's at full capacity of 10 so not sure how they decide who deserves to be "an extra " and who doesn't. They also don't clean/sanitize a pool area after each party bring lysol to wipe tables and chairs if you plan to use them.

Tina I apologize for the miscommunication about our pool policy during your stay. Our pool policy for 10 or less earlier in the winter has been recently approved for 20 people per session. I am checking to be sure that our on-line information was updated as well. And I will be checking with our operations people to be sure they are cleaning the pool area between sessions as well. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.

We have had good luck staying in Hampton Inns. So we arrived expecting another good stay. We had that and then some. This is an upscale property with a large attractive lobby and meeting rooms. The hotel is taking Covid-19 safety seriously. Check in was safe and fast. Our room was spotlessly clean and included a ‘sticker” on the door indicating that it had received special cleaning designed for Covid-19 times.

A large variety of shops and restaurants are within comfortable walking distance. A good breakfast was safely served. Check out was easy and we look forward to returning.

From the central location, to the wonderful, warm staff and the evening cookies at the desk, this place is great.
The complementary breakfast is really good and the staff attending are really accommodating. I forgot my nondairy creamer and was telling my mom I had to run back up to the room and Nikki, overheard me and said "no need I'll get you some almond milk." She was really pleasant. The pool and hot tub area are beautiful too. The room was clean and had plenty of room for us to spread out. Really love this hotel. Sleep quality on New Years Eve was a little off, but it was to be expected due to the central location of the hotel, a lot of street noise. Next night very peaceful.

We stayed here for the Jazz Festival. For $150 a night, it would have been adequate. Paying $450 a night for a mediocre hotel at best is insulting. We were immediately disappointed at the location of the room, having requested a balcony room we were given a room on the "2nd floor" although with the slope in the sidewalk, it seemed like the ground floor.
The air conditioning unit in the room sounded like a jet engine. I requested maintenance to fix it as it was too loud for us to sleep. The woman who came to look at it claimed it was fine and all the units in all the rooms were as loud. When I mentioned that it was obvious that the filter hadn't been cleaned in a while ( I could see the gunk on the screen), I was told that it was just cleaned.
The toilet seat was clearly broken as it completely lifted off the base. We requested that it be fixed which never happened during our stay.
The breakfast was sad, dried out eggs with limited sides. The staff was extremely efficient about removing all traces of food at 10AM and at times even earlier.
Housekeeping is by request only, so don't expect your bed to be made up or the room tidied.
The staff answered our questions promptly but grossly incorrectly. We were told that they couldn't split the bill on two credit cards which appears to be incorrect. After returning from the Jazz Festival late one night we asked if there was a restaurant open in town and the staff member on duty had no clue.
Overall we were grossly disappointed in our stay here and will look for other accommodations in the future.

I cannot talk more highly about this hotel. Was celebrating our 50th Anniversary the weekend we stayed there. The staff were just wonderful. When we got to our room there was a bottle of champagne & two champagne glasses waiting for us from the staff with a beautiful note card.
Room was a very spacious room with a king size bed, couch, coffee table, desk, and a refrigerator that had a separate freezer, not one of those tiny freezers. Large spacious bathroom with shelves built into the wall to put your things. Another great thing they have is inside parking which was wonderful since it snowed. Beautiful pool, hot tub, lobby and great breakfast. Only a block away from all the little stores.
I love raspberry cookies and the chef made us a small tray of them gift wrapped and delivered them to our room with another beautiful anniversary note card. This hotel staff really make our anniversary even more special.
We were supposed to stay in Albany next month and changed our reservation to this wonderful hotel.
A special thank you to the staff of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Saratoga Springs Downtown.

We spent two nights at this hotel. The location was perfect for us, close to restaurants and SPAC. The hotel staff was friendly, and our room and common areas were clean, quiet, and comfortable. When we were there housekeeping was very understaffed, and only 2 housekeepers cleaned all the rooms, and the food supplier was on strike. Our room was spotless, and there was breakfast in the morning! Kudos to the staff for an amazing job. We were very impressed.

Very nice property with attached, free, indoor parking. Breakfast was good. THe eggs actually tasted like they were freshly made. Very comfortable public dining area. THe room and bed were very comfortable. The TV is pretty far away and too small but, alas, watching TV on our trip was the last item on our list. Like many hotels these days, somebody thought the lobby and public areas should be lit up like a airport parking lot. I never understand this and I find it unthoughtful and annoying. Call me crazy, but I want a restful environment at a hotel. Super bright, super white lighting just destroys that for me.
