I highly recommend Stay Saratoga. I rented a standard double room for one week. I had a great experience and ended up staying 6 months in a deluxe double room with a good-size kitchen that included a stovetop (no oven), microwave, a full-size refrigerator, toaster, and a Keurig. I appreciated the Keurig cups in my room upon my arrival!
The rooms are clean and spacious. The comfy beds have memory foam mattress toppers and a table with comfortable reclining chairs.
The location is perfect - close to parks, shops, and restaurants. My daughter had delicious food delivered from Ravenous.
The owner Steve is friendly and quickly responds to questions and requests.
He has another property, Berkshire Hills Country Inn. It is conveniently located less than two miles from the Clark Museum.

I first stayed here for 4 weeks in June of 2021, and returned to the same suite for another 4 weeks in June of 2022.

Why did I return?

1. The location and proximity to downtown is
excellent.
2. The 150 year old Victorian Suite is charming…
with high, mahogany wood ceilings and
fireplace, oak floors and dressers, and all
the comforts of home.
3. The price is reasonable, fair, and competitive.
4. The proprietor, Steve, is personable, helpful,
and hands-on.

THAT’s why I have booked for another 4 weeks
in June of 2023!

Thanks, Steve!

Roger

As soon as I check in at my destination, the first thing I do is sanitize the room. My disinfecting wipes came out just as clean here as they do at any major chain hotel I stay at. The difference is that those chains don't have the charm that Stay Saratoga does. This place is lovely! My room is in the old Victorian home. It's large with a kitchenette, whirlpool tub, fireplace, and king size sleigh bed. Then there's the owner. He has been amazing so far. I called a couple times prior to booking the room and he has always answered the phone and has been a pleasure to speak with. Upon check-in, he gave us a tour of the grounds to show us the amenities as he walked us to our room. Plenty of parking as well which is a plus.

I have never had a lodging experience like this one. Pulled into the parking lot and found the office door locked w a note to call. As I was pulling out my phone a guy came running out of one of the hotel rooms saying he was just working out. Asked my name and he pulled a key out of his pocket. Walked us up to the “Adirondack Suite.” He left and came back w a business card (that was bent and torn at the corners) and finally introduced himself as Steve and told me to call if we needed anything. I didn’t show ID, present a credit card, nothing, didn’t even see the inside of the office the whole time I was there, including check out, where again the office was locked, and when I called Steve it went straight to voicemail. He never called back. I left a message that I left the key in the room and didn’t know what to do to check out (I.e. pay) but that I had to leave to make a flight. Shady.

Then there was the room. Not bad from the doorway, nice pretty bed frame, but smelled of dog pee. The couch was nasty, pet hair and stains all over it. The kitchen was dirty and the fridge had remnants of food crumbles all over it. The silk flowers decorating the room had an inch of dust on them. The drop ceiling tiles were ill fitting and stained, some w large water marks. The inside of the closet door had a huge hole in it like it had been punched. Then there was the bathroom…holy 1970’s. The vanity had a woven front w holes busted in it. The floor was disgusting and dirty. The ceiling fan vent was broken and didn’t work. The toilet seat was completely pulled off the base so the whole thing slid off to one side. The bathtub was super old and all the caulk was brown and crumbling. The wallpaper was pulling off the wall from the ceiling.

I would have given all of this feedback if anyone actually worked there to check out or answered the phone number on the door, or at the very least returned my voicemail. We go to Saratoga every summer for the races but didn’t make our plans until a few weeks ago and options were limited. I took a gamble on a place I hadn’t heard of and it was a $754 mistake. Two nights. $754. For a nasty motel room. We adore Saratoga Springs and love to find boutique places to stay, but I couldn’t have gone more wrong with this one. Hopefully this review will save people like me from choosing this hotel!!

When I personally checked you in I took you to your room, showed you all the amenities inside and out of the room, gave you a card and told you to call if you had any concerns at all. I also told you to just leave the key in the room when you were going to check out three days later. Why did you wait until you checked out to call me? How were you able to exist for three nights in this room with all the horrible things you say were wrong with it? This is an Adirondack-styled room, and that includes the bathroom. The room was cleaned every day that you stayed by our meticulous housekeeping staff. The 12 foot ceiling in this enormous room did have a very small water stain that we just could not get to in time before your arrival. There has been non stop torrential rains this summer which cause a small leak. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. If you would have called during your stay, instead of after, we would have fixed everything, or at the very least, given you another room. As far as not seeing the office for check out and check in, we were trying to make these processes as non contact as possible due to Covid. I have tried to return your voicemail several times, and once on that day. I left a voicemail which you have not returned. Please call me so we can discuss this: 5185844220

Went to this hotel with my husband and had a blast!!! The room was fantastic, felt like I was in a cute cabin because of the decor. I loved it so much, would highly recommend and will be returning to this hotel every year!!!there is no smoking on the property so that’s a plus, nothing more irritating when you open a door and cigarette smoke comes in the room, so it’s great knowing people can’t smoke on the property. Also this hotel is very close to down and a lot of eating options next door on either side and across the street!

I decided to book a last minute trip; first time visit to Saratoga. Little did I know, I picked the busiest weekend of the year "Travers Day". Stay Saratoga not only had the best rate for the most amenities, but they had really solid reviews. Upon arrival, Steve was very welcoming & gave us some solid tips/advice on local spots. The deluxe double was very clean, big & directly across from the jacuzzi & firepit. Stove, microwave, Keurig, full-sized refrigerator, two tables, outside sitting space with rocking chairs, ironing board/iron, blow dryer, small toiletries, free Netflix. What more could you ask for? They also have gym equipment, basketball, a pool table, bocce ball & are walking distance to EVERYTHING. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Don't believe the negative reviews at all... I am glad I ignored them.

This was our second stay in less than a year and it was wonderful. We were in town for a concert and the location makes the walk to SPAC easy and it's only a few blocks from the restaurants and shops in the center of town. We took a walk to the race track and enjoyed the treelined streets and beautiful homes and parks.

The owner and housekeeping staff were great! The king suite was clean, the AC was cold and the shower was hot. The porch with rockers outside the room was the perfect place to have a drink and unwind after the concert. I would definitely recommend and plan on returning in the future.

This was our 2nd time staying at Stay Saratoga and it did not disappoint. We spent 4 nights in one of the first floor suites with a full kitchen, large comfortable living room, perfect king size bed and a classic Victorian bathroom.

Steve, the owner, is a class act. He checked in with me the day before my arrival to make sure it would be seamless. The cleaning staff was excellent, air conditioning worked perfectly too.

The location of the Stay Saratoga is ideal, just a short walk to Congress Park and an easy walk to all the bars and restaurants on Broadway, Phila and Caroline.

We will definitely be back very soon and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a nice spot in downtown Saratoga.

We've been staying here for a few months abd I must say, this is a home away from home. The kitchen in our room is as big as you'd find in an apartment. The beds are super comfortable. We have two reclining chairs, great Wi-Fi, a gym, free Netfix and a balcony with two rocking chairs. Thanks Stay Saratoga for making us feel right at home.

Stayed this past weekend at Stay and we really enjoyed it. The room had a full kitchen, two comfy beds, reclining leather chairs and a big bathroom. We were happy to have bathrobes laid out on our beds. Every thing was spotlessly clean. The location is perfect but while staying at the Inn we enjoyed their bocce court, pool table, swim spa and the fire pit. Stay is clean, comfortable and fun.
