Ever since COVID came ashore things were changed completely. Travel was out of the question. We didn’t take our first road trip until august of 2020 and even that took super careful planning. Kids are on spring break and we didn’t want to flock to Florida along with the rest of the northeast. We chose to go north from Long Island. Saratoga fit the bill as there was history and outdoor activities This was our first time staying at a big box hotel since last March. Our previous road trips consisteted of motel style resorts which had outdoor access to our room Home wood suites was new, bright, clean, and inviting. The room was thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. We did a secondary round of sanitizing but turned out to be unnecessary. Everything was perfect. The staff takes all protocols seriously. You have to reserve time slots for the pool and gym which we were totally appreciative of. Doing their best to control crowds was appreciated. They even host breakfast and an evening happy hour. They plan the offerings in such a way that it’s easy to transport back to your room. The staff handling the food was awesome and so so friendly. Frankly Saratoga is just a friendly town in general. We love it up here and will be back Homewood suites...my family thanks you for an amazing stay. We look forward to returning…
Indoor pool was great for families. Limits of 20 people per 1 hr shift. You had to make your reservation in the morning. It was also open very late. Most of the day time hours there were very little people in the pool. Hotel breakfast was well done and very good. Hotel rooms were spacious and new. Across the street from the state park and ride min to downtown. Nice outdoor fire pit area with bbq. Also a small outdoor basketball court and indoor workout area. Overall a very nice stay.
This was my second stay at the Homewood Suites Saratoga. This hotel is so consistently friendly always very clean. When we arrived we were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door, and they welcomed us back. I like that they will only clean your room when requested. Breakfast was more that I could have wanted. Special thanks to Niall and Ashley in food and beverage, housekeeping Nicole. When we came to check out the hotel team was having a team meeting in the lobby all spaced out and we stopped and listened to the manager give a great talk about team work, how he appreciated all that everyone does. What a way to lead a team. Great Job Lyle. We will be back in the summer.
This hotel was amazing! They did everything they could to keep us safe and protect us from this horrible virus. Even the food distribution was done beautifully by the staff. I have recommend this place to all my friends.
We live not too far from here and the only reason why we stayed here was because they had a pool that was OPEN (during covid) and a hot tub. My kids and I desperately needed a quick getaway during their winter break and this place was perfect! Our room was the 2 queen studio and it was so spacious. A bonus on having the small kitchenette with all the amenities. Everything was clean when we arrived. The pool had a limit of 20 people and they wanted us to check in the front desk to obtain a pool key. This ensured that not anybody could just walk in which was great. But the pool area was spacious enough that even if there was another family or two, it wouldn’t feel cramped. The two times we went in, we were the only ones in there. (5pm and 9am) Hot Breakfast was served to you in to go containers. This gave you the option to eat in or bring the food back to your room. The cold options (cereal, milk, granola bars etc.) you could grab and go. The bagels, muffins and fruit were all individually wrapped which was so nice. I would 100% stay here again! …
