The motel is old and some features could use an upgrade, but that is part of its charm. Within walking distance of food and amenities. Very clean room. Worked out perfectly for us. Staff were very helpful. Perfect stay for us. An old motel of a breed that is dying out. We were happy to have found it and were very happy with our choice.

The hotel is in need of a lot of updates inside and out. The overall cleanliness of the rooms is poor but bed was comfortable. Pool was clean and front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately we probably won’t stay here again.

Stayed here couple nights over Labor Day Weekend. Location is close to downtown restaurants
and track. Grounds and pool are maintained adequately. Staff was pleasant on check-in. Free wi-fi was great. Housekeeping staff took care of our room right away, each day. Problem is that the rooms are so dismal. They desperately need updating. Carpet needs to be tossed out along with the ancient bedding and drapes. For $200 per night, I expect a freshly painted room and a modern TV, too. Motel was sold out on this holiday weekend, so I guess there is no incentive to improve by updating. I would not stay here again.

We travel regularly both domestically & internationally & have never had such a poor experience!

Reluctantly booked this motel as part of a group (another party booked for us). We had read the reviews but thought how bad could it be? IT WAS WORSE!! We paid $375+ for the night & I didn’t even stay the night, driving home 2.5 hours home @ midnight instead.

The pool area had uneven paver surface surrounding the pool which could easily cause someone to trip & fall into the pool. The water did not look safe to swim in. Need to be completely redone for safety purposes.

The building is in complete disrepair. When I say it needs to be it needs to be torn down & re-built it is not an exaggeration. The property has been let go so badly nothing is salvageable. Cleanliness is key for me & it didn’t even have that. Bedding is VERY old, and the room needs a deep cleaning. A/C was in working condition but full of dust and mold. Bathrooms had tiles falling off walls & looks like it hasn’t been cleaned with toothpaste & other grime throughout. Bugs were found not only in the room we had but many of our friends' rooms.

Due to severe allergies to dust & mold had to request a room change after stepping into the first room. Was reassigned a new room which was the same.
One of the other couples went to the front desk & was told, “what do you expect it is an old motel”! UNACCEPTABLE especially when you pay as much as they did because of a late booking $600+ for the night!!

Not sure why any Booking site allows this motel to be booked through them!!

hi , just want to let you's know if you sleep here bring some ear plugs, we got there early and were very tired well so much for sleeping, the guys (2) next room were up all night showering at 3 in the morning and talking until 5am.... what a wasted night... no sleep at all!!!! Second night was the same.... told owner to talk to them the second night but he obviously didn't cause the same thing happened again and the one under us was even worse for noise.... the bathroom behind the toilet and the corners in there are filthy... the heater and air conditioning are ancient!!!!! The worst was the two chairs in the room.... so so filthy I would throw them to the dump.... like what would it cost to replace these old filthy material chairs with something leathery that is cleanable? I was happy to see some plastic chairs outside so I used them at least you can wipe these down..... the beds were pretty compfy and the pillows not too bad.... the sheets were clean but the bedspreads touched the floor of "probably" filthy infested carpet lice... like don't let these touch the floor, these rugs are probably never ever cleaned.....we chucked the bedspreads on one of their filthy chairs and never used them the whole time there.... Bedspeads and rugs in rooms are the dirtiest things besides the toilet that " probably" also gets wiped down all with the same rag....The price was quite expensive for this time of year... next time will shop around..... Not happy at all....The two chairs in there disgusted me so much that I had a hard time even sitting in that room....if we hadn't paid for two nights we would of left early in the morning because we never slept all night.... would not stay there again....The curtains need changing in there also... window sills filthy also.... just not a happy camper...... stayed in a lot cheaper motels than this and a lot cleaner than this place..... like GET RID OF THOSE FILTHY CHAIRS ALREADY!!!!!Good luck to all that stay there... don't forget the ear plugs if you want to sleep.....

We had high hopes for Turf & Spa as a reasonable accommodation while visiting Saratoga Springs. There was no place to park, it was run down, had not enough towels in a room that was dingy at best & very small by today's standards, however their prices were very large, and if that wasn't bad enough they overcharged us by a considerable amount & gave us a really hard time when we requested they correct their mistake. Instead of apologizing, they got mad at us, which brings me to the entire attitude of the staff from check in. It was really poor.
FYI, you are not doing us a favor by letting us stay with you....and guests should be treated with some politeness & courtesy. Also, you are not a 100.00 a night hotel, not even close, the fact that you charge such exorbitant fancy hotel prices speaks volumes about how you conduct business & how little you care about returning guests. Sorry, but this is the worst review I have given to any establishment. Hope it helps you to improve your indignant attitude & service. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

The most horrible rude staff I've ever experienced in my life. If you ask a question they make you feel like its an inconvience for them to help you. I went in after a concert and asked where I was to park......as they do not have adequate parking. ...for their customers.I was told to "find somewhere else to park". On the way out of the office the lady proceeded to say "f@*! you to me". I went to talk to the owner the next morning and she was just as rude and unaccomodating. She had the audacity to tell me I was the one who was rude. I asked for more clean towels she told me that we had used too many towels and could not have more. It's totally outdated and the bathroom and tub are disgusting.I showered with my flip flops on. There is no hair dryer or iron. I was told that you have to ask. Everywhere else I've ever stayed they were just in the room. I went and bought one as I did not know to ask. Maybe it should have been put on the website these items are available upon request. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the people upstairs and on either side. I am very disappointed to say the least. I was excited to stay here because of the pool and spa, but the staff and owner have truly ruined my experience. I have been in customer service for 22 years and would never have still had a job after treating people that way! Its completely unacceptable! I honestly don't know how they are AAA approved they must have paid for the sign! Beware if you are thinking about staying unless it's absolutely necessary!

I booked this room several months before our arrival date and requested a crib. When we arrived I was informed they didn't have any and cribs were dangerous for kids at motels. I arrived a day early and requested an additional nights stay. The owner was rude and made a big deal about finding me a room that was available for 2 nights (that night there were only 7 out of 60 rooms occupied!). I thought she would be glad for the buisness but apparently not. Also was rude when I requested 2 room keys. She also informed me that I couldn't leave my child alone and go out (my child is one year old so obviously this would NEVER happen and I am not sure what she was insinuating). We stayed for 2 nights. The continental breakfast was coffee (good) and muffins that had been cut in half, therefore making the cut side very stale. On the day we left, I called to ask if we could have a late check out, which was not accomodated. Check out was at 11 so we hurried up and were leaving. At 11:02 I was moving bags out of room and got a call from the front desk demanding that I turn in my keys. I promptly returned the keys and my husband and I began packing the car. Since we drove here from Wisconsin and have a baby, it took some time to reorganize the car for the next leg of the journey. As we were packing the car, the owner came out to the parking lot and told us that it was past check out and we had to leave the property. I told here we were just finishing putting the things in the car ad she again repeated that we had to leave the property. My husband is African American and I am not sure if this is the reason she was so rude the whole time, butI do kind of think it may have been racially motivated. I will not return here, which is unfortunate becasue it is within walking distance to SPAC.

We could have tolerated the poor conditions and mediocre experience in lieu of the location, however, the staff was an absolutely miserable lot. Never have I had a more troubling customer service experience. Both the front desk attendant and the manager were the rudest most nightmarish people I have ever dealt with. Don't believe me...just call and ask a couple of questions and see how helpful they are. My advice...spend a few extra dollars a night a stay someplace that appreciates their customers.

I see this is from a year ago but thought I would answer. Yes. It is about a 2 mile flat easy walk, most of it through the park. Much less hassle than driving.
