We have been visiting this hotel for over 10 years by ourselves and our family members at least twice a year. Past visits have always been good with no complaints or issues. This year my wife and I went away for a Valentines Day getaway without our children. Upon arrival, I was charged a "$100 fee" which I have NEVER been charged for booking a room. I figured as long as the fee is returned upon departure, not a big deal. The room was the worst as far as cleanliness as we've EVER experienced. Upon arrival I had to use the bathroom, and was disgusted by the scene of a public hair floating in the toilet that had not been obviously previously flushed. I dismissed it to maybe being short staffed with the loss of bookings due to COVID. The rest of the trip went OK. A day after leaving we were charged $267 for smoking in our room, which NEVER happened, nor has it EVER happened in the over 10 years we've stayed here. They "allege" they have photo evidence which OF COURSE was never sent to me. There was NO smell of smoke in our room upon arrival, nor upon departure!! Anyone with half a brain cell knows, NO MATTER WHAT you smoke, it WILL leave a smell for days! Not to mention, if their security cameras actually work for the safety of their staff and guests, then they have video evidence of my wife and I going down to their "designated outside smoking area" every few hours. After my wife called to talk to the hotel about the charge, and some uneducated, ignorant, and rude employee didn't listen to her and fought with her how we smoked in the room, I don't expect anything to change. We will just continue to stay at the Marriott up the road where they hire nice, competent, guest friendly, and smart employees. Just want everyone to know that no matter how long you're a returning customer to this company's hotel, EVENTUALLY you will be crapped on and charged for b.s. charges. Never again!!

tldr: DON'T STAY HERE (unless you enjoy playing Russian Roulette) During our 4 night stay in room 102 we saw at least twelve people not wearing masks in common areas including the hallway outside our room, the front lobby, and the indoor pool area (which was inexplicably open during a national pandemic). In fact, the only people we saw wearing a mask during our stay were staff members. While checking in, we witnessed the first mask-less person walk through the lobby (a delivery guy). We asked the front desk worker if that was normal, but she said that it was unusual and that most customers were wearing masks. That was not even remotely true. In fact, when we later went to check out there was a mask-less elderly couple watching tv in the lobby RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. We saw no signage about masks in our room, hallway, or building side door to the parking lot during our stay. We took this trip to visit my diabetic mother (after quarantining for ten days at home), and were constantly afraid of picking up the virus while entering and exiting our room. We had to watch through the peep hole while mask-less people passed by, and wait for the hallway to clear before we could make a run for the car each morning. I originally booked this hotel because it was the closest to my parents' house and also happened to be one of the best deals around. After seeing how this business has completely failed to take a national health emergency seriously, i will likely never use it again. **The bed comforter was visibly dirty with old stains, some of which appeared to be bodily fluids. So that was utterly disgusting.

Seriously, I was a little concerned about booking here cause there were some negative reviews, but it was very nice. We were only passing through and wanted an inexpensive place with a pool for the kids. Place was very clean, showers were great, pool was tiny but kids had a great time (though I was dying just sitting in pool area cause it was so hot). Coffee/tea/hot chocolate out all day/nite. Grab and go breakfast was wrapped pastries and oatmeal but we ate out. Ten minutes from town. No complaints at all. Did not seem dated or old or anything. Across from Walmart/Target if you need anything. Price couldn't be beat (called other places)_.

To start with the good, the staff was friendly, and the bedding was surprisingly comfortable. The problem is the general feel of the place is old and the property needs a good cleaning. The room itself was mostly clean, I do think the maids worked hard to clean the rooms. But, at every entrance there are enough cigarette butts on the floor to light a bonfire. The breakfast area has cobwebs at the bottom of some of the furniture(including the coffee stand,) and there was just a strange, seedy feel to the place. It was not horrible, and if you need a place for a night or two on a tight budget it would be ok, but for just a little more money you can do much cleaner, nicer, and more modern. Good job by the staff though.

Very nice Inn. Have to give a special speak out to Lisa B. She was very helpful and pleasent. We had the jacuzzi suite. Only problems. Should have 2nd chair in unit also hand rails on jacuzzi so it would make it easier to get out of. Would recommend to friends.
