As a long time Embassy Suites patron, I rate my experience at the Saratoga NY property the best ever! We stayed in a corner room of this large hotel and found the room extremely spacious with windows facing two sides of the property. Well appointed room with plenty of storage space, convenient "kitchen" features and excellent prompt service from housekeeping and maintenance staff. Also , excellent breakfast, served with covid,-safe procedures in mind and evident everywhere. We had dinner in the hotel--not available in all ES hotels--and it was excellent. Terrific burger and unique sweet potato fries. Property is across parking lot from 24 hour CVS-- very convenient. The "plaza" outside has a few restaurants in walking distance. Very attractive lobby. In all, a resort feel to this traditional "chain" hotel. Kudos to the management and staff!…
This was my first time staying here. I came for a mini-vacation for two nights. It was great. The Breakfast was amazing, the Happy Hour was Awesome, and the Suites were very clean! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. The location is perfect for walking downtown, and there are sights that are second to none.
The room and overall facility were clean. Many stickers and signs displaying how they clean/sanitize the room and the areas throughout the hotel. Social distancing stickers are labeled around but no designated staff is enforcing that. Overall, most guests just simply follow and try to be responsible. All staffs are very professional and friendly, including the chefs and cleaning lady during the complimentary breakfast hours. I had an enjoyable and relaxing stay with my family.
Booked 2 king suites for a quick 1 night stay. The price was nice as was the room. Our's was a corner suite & very nicely appointed. Would have loved to have had more time in Saratoga Springs. For a chain hotel, I think this is the best you could get in SSNY. The managers reception required you to purchase food, this was a first for an ES with me & we have stayed from NYC to Mexico City & lots of places in between. Fortunately the cooked breakfast was back on the menu but lots of waste with plastic containers etc because of COVID.
We booked our stay on Hotels.com and paid an additional fee to have a 2 hour early check in and 2 hour late check out. I called the hotel the day before our stay to confirm the early check in and spoke with Piper. She advised me to call in the morning and let the front desk know that what time we were expecting to arrive. I called at 10am the next morning and the woman I spoke with told me we could not check in early because they would not have a room available for us (even though we purchased the option on Hotels.com that gave 2 hour early check in). We arrived at 2:30pm hoping the room would be ready by then and again were told it was not. Normal check in is at 3:00pm. Our room was not ready until 3:10pm. Also another reason we chose to stay at Embassy Suites is we were told they had a fantastic happy hour for hotel guests with snacks and unlimited drinks for 2 hours. The woman at the front desk advised us that they changed their happy hour and it was two complimentary drinks with a food purchase. As disappointing as our time started we tried to make the best of it and went down the the happy hour at 6pm. At that time we were told that there was a wait since there were so many dinner reservations and we could sit and wait to leave. They did not take names down on a list. It took almost 35 minutes for us to get a table and another 10 minutes for our waitress to come over. We placed a drink and food order (loaded tater tots). At this time our waitress told us that the woman at the front desk was wrong and the happy hour was actually unlimited drinks for two hours, which means we already had missed out on an hour of the happy hour because we were given the wrong information. 30 minutes later the waitress came over and asked if we placed an order for food. We reminded her that we ordered the loaded tater tots a half an hour ago. Another 30 minutes went by and now we had been waiting for over an hour for an order of tater tots. At this point we needed to leave to make our dinner reservations downtown. My fiancé communicated this to the waitress and she said okay, you can just leave, you don't owe anything. No apology, no explanation, nothing. I am shocked to say the least at how disappointing of a stay we had. For a higher end hotel in Saratoga I would have expected more. We paid extra to stay somewhere that we could check in early and experience the happy hour that was for hotel guests. We had a terrible experience and no one cared. We also qualified for a 2 hour late check out and were told that we needed to be out by 12pm or be charged a late check out fee. We had no intentions of staying later, but it doesn't matter. We purchased an option that stated we received that benefit. We will never stay here again. I am so beyond disappointed. For the amount of money we paid, we expected to have a wonderful time a great customer service experience. Not to mention the shower had a soap scum slime on the walls and we were charged a $20.00 fee that we were not made aware of. HUGE Disappointment!…
