Bluestone is truly a gem in the heart of the Hudson Valley. It's a prime location in Saugerties - a charming town with lots to offer - and so close to some of the region's best attractions, not to mention the Hudson River itself. The rooms are handsome and well appointed, every detail is thoughtful and meticulous. You wake up...

It might have been dreary outside, but it was warm and inviting inside. Mark and Ryan were wonderful, welcoming hosts and our stay was perfect! The rooms were beautiful and well-appointed. The cocktail hour is a great way to meet other guests staying at Bluestone. We look forward to going back in the fall and seeing the changing leaves. Highly...

My girlfriend and I originally booked a stay at Bluestone in January, but her Dad unfortunately passed away and we were unable to make it. The owners, Ryan and Mark, honored our reservation this weekend (may 2017) and that is just the tip of the iceberg of what a class act they are. The property is beautiful and about a...

My son and I were looking for a quick get away from Brooklyn and in just two hours we found it @ Bluestone B&B! First, the property is breath taking, with endless calming views of the Catskills mountains...It truly felt like heaven! The Rooms are quaint, elegant and classic. Super clean...love the fresh soft white towels! Not to mention the...

My husband and I live locally, but wanted to enjoy a night away before the busy season for our work starts. We found Bluestone Bed & Basecamp through a Google search, and were immediately drawn to how inviting and homey it looked online - and, in person, it did not disappoint! We stayed in a room with a king sized...

From the moment my friend and I arrived at Bluestone during the sweet happy hour we felt very welcome. The design-led sunroom, lounge and dining room were all beautifully appointed and so comfy. Our expert hosts offered amazing suggestions of fun local attractions, amazing restaurants, refreshing spas, and many other sites to check out on our mini-break. Nothing is more...

I spent the last few weeks chained to my desk at work, stressed out, feeling like the world was coming to an end. Desperate for a break, I searched tripadvisor for an affordable two day getaway near Saugerties and discovered The Bluestone. I stayed there for the weekend and was completely blown away by how nice the house was. My...

Bluestone is brains and beauty! Swoon-worthy outside and in: gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains (and sunsets to faint over) complement all the lovely stylishness indoors. At the end of a long travel day, my friend and I felt totally rejuvenated after a nap and then happy hour drinks and conversation with our hosts, Mark and Ryan. Their design sense...

Loved staying here--great room and great happy hour. And I love the details like the original cool bathroom tile. Can't wait to come back and check out all the seasons from the glassed-in front porch.

We wish we could have stayed another night. We were made to feel right at home. Looking forward to a visit when the snow is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Hudson Valley's first micro boutique hotel! Micro-because it's small. Boutique-because it's distinctively specialized. Hotel-because it's not your grandma's B&B. The Bluestone Basecamp is fabulously unconventional in its approach to modern accommodations and attitude. Many indoor and outdoor areas to lounge and frolic offer guests an array spaces for communal and secluded recreation and leisure. Camp fire, croquet match, cross dress? Horse shoes, honeymoon, happy hour? Sleep late and sing in the shower? Stay your way and make it memorable. ... more   less
