I would recommend staying at this hotel because the staff was excellent, friendly, patient and helpful. The rooms were very clean and new. The complimentary breakfast was simple but very appreciated. There was also complimentary coffee and tea. Parking was also included. I highly recommend this hotel.
We recently had a wedding here with a suite booked (on a Friday) and needed an early check in for another room that was reserved on Saturday for wedding pictures. On Thursday I stopped by the hotel and let front desk know that we had a suite booked Friday/sat but needed a room sat by 1pm for pictures. I offered to buy extra room Friday night if that was easier but the front desk person made note and said come Saturday morning to remind them. At 8am Saturday I went downstairs and explained the situation to the new front desk lady who told to come back at 1pm and she'd see what she could do. At 1pm I was told to come back at 2 and at 2 she couldn't help me. I let her know that was ridiculous as we are bringing in a couple thousand dollars of business and all we asked for was 1 room ready an hour or two before check in. I asked her for her name for my review and when she refused to give it to me I went to take a picture of her. She yelled that was it was illegeal to do that (its not) and kicked me out of the hotel and called security/police 2 hours before my wedding and told me to immediately leave the establishment. I didn’t swear or yell and only expressed frustration that she didnt seem to care about helping someone. Again It was asking for one room to be ready two hours before normal check in, and the original person we spoke with said that should be fine. This is turn threw off our wedding photographer as we had to switch rooms last minute and he was confused. So we missed out on a bunch of potential pictures because this one staff member was lazy and not interested in honoring a simple request. With maintenance staff there at 8am you'd think asking them to clean one room first wouldn't be a problem. I wasn’t expecting any special treatment and was fairly calm in my discussions with this employee who decided to escalate the situation. With this person working Saturdays and our wedding on a Saturday I'd avoid this hotel as long as that employee is there. Unfortunately since I don't know her name i'd say avoid it all together. You'd think when Proctors hasn't had a show for a year, and capacity has been struggling for local hotels they'd do better to ensure couples giving them good business were taken care of.…
As a travel RN from out of town, working 13 hours midnights, I was having problems finding a place that would allow me to check in before 3pm. Hampton Inn has what they call "day stay". With a 9am check in & 5pm check out, & paid for one day. It's located minutes from the hospital & it allowed me to get a good day's sleep before my next shift started.
The room is very standard for what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. It was good size and comfortable. With the ongoing pandemic, the staff did a good job at keeping the hotel clean. We didn't eat the to-go breakfast, but it was a nice offering. The hotel is in a good location in town. It’s within walking distance of several restaurants and shops.
The hotel is in a good location. It’s downtown, within walking distance of several restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical for Hampton Inn. I will stay here again in the future.
