We had a group of eight guys stay at Rocky Acres this past weekend for the ice fishing derby on Schroon Lake. This was our second time staying with Laura for the derby. Laura goes above and beyond to make sure every guest has whatever they need for a pleasant, comfortable stay. She makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door! All of the rooms were very clean and well decorated. The bathrooms were also very clean and fully stocked with basically anything that you could ask for (shampoo, soap, conditioner, toothpaste and most importantly, soft towels and TP!) Laura makes great breakfast and always thinks about the little things. When Laura saw us all come back in with bad wind/sun burn, she instantly ran and grabbed us a bottle of Aloe, along with a couple other lotions to help sooth the burn. She has great knowledge of the area and I highly recommend staying at Rocky Acres!

We had a great weekend at Rocky Acres Inn B&B. Laura goes above and beyond to ensure her guests enjoy a pleasant stay at her home. Laura's breakfasts are amazing, and she caters to each individuals preference, hearty, healthy or somewhere in between. Her rooms are impeccably clean and tidy, as well as the other guest areas. Also, she does local businesses a huge favor by promoting their services as well. Laura, we will be coming back soon!

The wilderness isolation that every couple needs. After getting bounced around looking for an inn for Valentine's day weekend we ended up at Laura's Rocky Acres bed and breakfast by accident. That accident would prove to be the start of an exceptional weekend. We arrived late after a long drive in -6 temperatures to be welcomed in from the cold to find warm pumpkin bread and fresh adirondack water waiting for our arrival. Laura the owner, is a kind, energetic and selfless person who will pamper, charm, and entertain you with her plenum of local knowledge, she will also strive to accommodate any of your preferences. The Butterfly room in which we stayed was adorned by adirondack charm. Warm decor, romantic fireplace heater and a view of complete isolation. The local biodiversity of birds will put on a magnificent display as bird feeders surround the home and a display can be seen from every window. The property is quiet and isolated; but outdoor potential abounds with plenty of local hiking, water access, snow shoe access and snowmobiling opportunities. Screen houses will accommodate light spring and summer camping, and the grounds will also accommodate tent camping. Breakfast is a treat with food choices completely revolving around your personal pallet. Laura is very flexible and charming; and if your a late riser, that will be no concern as there is no continental breakfast hour. Your meal is served home style on beautiful china and rustic charm. Whether your looking for a rustic escape, local adventure, or just a couples day out, Laura's Rocky Acres Bed and Breakfast will be sure to satisfy your needs to " unplug " from your high stress world. Even your cell phone won't be ringing much in these parts! But land line is available on site with Wifi. Cellular service is available in town.

What a charming, perfect, warm place to spend a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We went to chill, relax, see some sight with two friends and our two dogs. Traveling in January made for a perfect wintery scene on Laura's property. Completely right in the middle of the mountains. We all kept saying we feel like we are in a movie. The property was perfectly located, just 15 min from the town but far enough away to feel relaxed. Laura was a friendly host who made the best blueberry pancakes (yumm) and coffee. She asked us every night what we would like to eat the next morning and at what time. She welcomed our dogs with open arms and even had treats ready for them on the table when we arrived. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the living room cozy, warm and comfortable and we had it all to ourselves. She had a fully stocked bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, make up remover, lotion, etc....you name it, she had it. It makes for a very light luggage in the future. As far as COVID - there was antibacterial at the door as soon as you walk in. Everything seemed very clean. Laura always had on a mask and clear face shield. I would definitely recommend this B&B for your trip. I cannot say anything bad about it. I am an extensive traveler and have been all over the world. I have had some disappointments in my choices of places to stay in the past...but Rocky Acers Inn was a great choice. We were very happy here and we will definitely return.
