We love the Schroon Lake area and it was too early to camp, so we decided on a weekend at the Blue Ridge Motel. The owner explained that when they bought the motel, it hadn’t been updated in 30 years. So they gutted it and built it out fresh, and boy does it show! Very clean in light of Covid - they use EcoLab hospital grade cleaners and take cleanliness very seriously. I noticed there weren’t tissues in the room, and was told this is a rule due to Covid which they are following to the letter. Decor is cozy Adirondack style, mattress was just-right firm, our dog-friendly room was quiet and we slept great! In the morning a delicious breakfast spread is offered...muffins, bagels, fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, etc etc. All separately wrapped and packaged with safety and cleanliness in mind. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and highly recommend the Blue Ridge for a comfortable, restful and conveniently located stay in the Schroon Lake area. It was perfect! …
The rooms are very clean. Each room is decorated with a different theme. Continental Breakfast is provided. Breakfast includes Muffins, Bagels, Yogurt, Juices, etc. Great Gift Shop near the Office. Gift Shop has items made by a Veteran that are beautiful. Tammy, who owns Blue Ridge Motel, is very hospitable. She is very knowledgeable of the area.
Tammy is so wonderful and made our stay great! She brown bagged the included breakfast for us the night before since we were heading out super early the next morning to hike. She even put a fun riddle on the bag for us to figure out. Additionally, the room was very clean and comfortable. Comfortable bed, all the necessary amenities, and clean bathroom. It seems as though this place has really been turned around thanks to Tammy’s hard work! Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to other ADK hikers. A bonus? Paradox Brewery is literally right down the road. 🍻
Tammy was very friendly and helpful in suggesting day trips for us, including one to Santanoni Preserve, which was great. We also loved being so close to Paradox Brewery (1.5 miles) and downtown Schroon Lake (6 miles). The rooms have all be redone and are very comfortable. There are also two fire pits, which we enjoyed a couple nights. We'll definitely be back!
stayed there last weekend while visiting a friend, also stayed there around 5 years ago, night and day, place is under new ownership, very nice lady, we stayed in a newly renovated room, very clean, comfortable beds, pillows, sheets etc.. highly recommend
