My wife and I recently made a trip to the Hamptons and stayed at the 1708 House. Accommodations, service and amenities were all excellent. This is a beautiful restored B&B steps away from the center of Southampton. The pics online do not due this place justice. You need to experience it in person.

Highly recommend and only wish I had more time at The 1708 House. I was visiting the area for a memorial service and only stayed one Friday night. The historic house is beautifully decorated, well maintained and very clean. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the B&B centrally located. I enjoyed their afternoon tea and wine service with a friend...

My husband and I had a very lovely two-night stay at the 1708 House over President's weekend. We couldn't have been more pleased. As others have noted, the place is beautifully restored and in immaculate condition. The quality of the woodwork is outstanding -- everything gleams. There are several public rooms for reading, relaxing and game-playing, including a great bar/cellar,...

My daughter and I had a beautiful weekend get away at the historic 1708 House bed and breakfast. Stayed in a lovely suite and was given a tour of the house and wine celler. I highly recommened this for a perfect romantic holiday as well.

My visit at the 1708 House was unbelievably relaxing even though I was there on a business trip! The room was cosy, warm at all times and very clean. The bathroom had from toothbrushes and toothpaste to body cream. Breakfast was delicious and you could get eggs made in any way you choose! I give the 1708 House five starts!

We only spent one snowy night at the 1708 House in Southampton over the President's Weekend, but a very lovely time was had by one and all. We had suite #3 on the third flood, but with two bedrooms and a private bath, my wife and I and adult daughter escaping from NYC for an evening, was a very nice...

I have been going here for a number of years during February to celebrate my birthday. My friends and I stay in the cottages in the back, which give you a little more privacy. The rooms in the main house are lovely too. The place is very pretty, well managed and very convenient to town. Always have a wonderful stay!

This is a fantastic hotel. We took a cottage, as we have a 2 year old, and couldn't have been more comfortable. The cottages are spacious and well appointed, the hotel is lovingly restored to a high standard, the molton brown bathroom liquids are a nice touch, as is the breakfast, although we were on eggshells in case our little...

We chose the weekend of the Blizzard for our quiet getaway. It was a beautiful setting, warm and cozy. The staff made us feel right at home. The rooms are beautifully done. We hope to go back when the weather is more favorable for sight-seeing!

“In the 20+ years I’ve been summering in Southampton, I’d never stayed at or visited 1708 House. Always charming looking from the exterior – no matter what the season; but especially in autumn and winter with its tiny white lights and historic colonial structure. What I’d not imagined, was how truly spectacular and architecturally important the interior is! In my...
