I was looking at several hotels and in the area and I a friend of mine referred the Hamlet In and I was not disappointed. I had a wonderful stay at the Hamlet Inn, staff was very friendly, rooms were amazing, and very close to Southampton village. I will be staying there again if I’m ever back in Southampton.

We had to suddenly go to a family funeral. We left in a rush and were pretty dang grateful to find this place with such late notice. I wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised! Large, clean rooms. Everything worked. They had Starbucks coffee with free refill pods, which c'mon, that scores points, people! There was a continental breakfast. It wasn't the fanciest place, but neither are we! I prefer smaller and more intimate lodging any day over a big, expensive, fancy hotel! The grounds were tidy and tended with beautiful flowers everywhere. We even got a show with a deer family that stayed at the edge of the property and let us watch them eat for a looooong time. Lovely! Of course, as we left in a crazy rush, I forgot something, but it was UNDERWEAR! Nooooooo...Holy mackerel. The Manager, Denise, was AMAZING and literally saved my butt and let me dry the undies I cleaned in the shower so I didn't run out and I didn't have to find a store in between all the family commitments. She was a lifesaver and so friendly. I really appreciated her great spirit and kindness. She helped make a hard trip a much easier one! Thank you, Denise. You ROCK!

My hubby and I wanted to get our of the city for a day or two. We spent a night in the Hamlet Inn. The room was clean, was well-appointed with pillows, water, toiletries and towels. We loved the porch where we could enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant recommendations were wonderful and the nearness to the beach-short ten minute drive (with included beach pass-just make sure you return the pass or it will cost you!-We made sure!!!!) The quiet and peace was terrific! We will return!

upon arrival we were greeted by Denise was upbeat and Very helpful! She went through the map of Sh with us and gave us great tips . We were able to check in early also accommodating. But once we got in this hole in the Wall room it was truly disgusting. The bathroom ( which looking back) i should have taken a photo was beyond disgusting, I’m mad that i didn’t. They had one of those pre made shampoo/cond tablets on the wall, no way we would touch that. It was filled with brown dirty spots on the outside. We didn’t stay in the room a lot so we just made the best of it , just to sleep. They give green circle soap that i swear is from the $1 store, Leaving your skin sticky And it’s so gross ...the amenities are disgusting. Also, when we checked out we were honest with Denise and told her the room was not nice or what we expected. The response “why did you book that room”? “I call that room the cheap seats at yankee stadium”. When booking online there is no way to know one single queen would be a room like that, it needs to come with a WARNING. We spent almost $1k for 2 nights, such a shame. Location is great i will say that and Denise was great! But we will never stay at this hotel again especially with how disgusting it was!
