Very disappointed with Thanksgiving dinner at the Inn. There were 10 of us and the cost was significant. The turkey was overdone, the vegetables cold and for dessert we were served ice cream that was listed as honey vanilla and turned out to be espresso bean. The ice cream had apparently softened and was refrozen as it was full of... More

Dear Gunhild, I’m very disappointed that you and your family didn’t have a pleasurable experience on Thanksgiving, please accept my sincerest apologies. After reviewing the email you sent me that evening during dinner service and the subsequent reviews you and your family posted on Facebook and trip advisor, I do appreciate you recognizing our good service, the tip you left... What a fabulous place to stay, and eat. The hospitality is second to none! The Inn is around 175 years old. The rooms are beautifully furnished with period furniture. The staff treat you like family, and the food in the restaurant is superb. Taughannock Falls are a short hike from the Inn, and most rooms have a view of lake... More

Hubby & chose this Inn because of the location, right on Cayuga Lake, at the base of Taughannock Falls...little did we realize how very excellent the location was. A very convenient walking path to the Falls, from the Inn, meant we did not have to move our car We stayed in Lakeview 1, a charming, 1 bedroom, more like a... More

Having heard about this place for many years, I surprised my wife with an overnight get-away here. I reserved one of the lake view rooms in the original inn, and we were pleasantly surprised. Not unlike other local inns we have stayed in, our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed and the staff very accommodating! They also explained that... More

Our overall experience of Taughannock Farms Inn was over priced. The quality of the rooms and the level of service does not match the price. More over we had a group brunch on the second morning and had to wait for the hot plates for over an hour. We were a group of 30 people but on arrival they didn't... More

My husband and I had a two day getaway at the Taughannock Farm Inn. We stayed in South Lake suite. The view of the lake and fall foliage was the best. One afternoon, we poured a glass of wine and sat on the bed to enjoy the view. It was so relaxing. The service was excellent and we met, Brian,... More

We live in Massachusetts and come to the Finger Lakes area only once per year. But we make sure that we make reservations at the Inn for our very special dinner each year as soon as we get there. The Inn gives you a very warm feeling with very good service and very excellent food. It is the type of... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in early September, a beautiful old Victorian home perched above Cayuga Lake that was converted to an inn 70 years ago. It’s old world charm: beautiful views from the lovely dining room and lake-facing rooms, welcoming and helpful staff, outside deck with comfortable seating and propane heaters. Meals in the elegant... More

The new menu was a disappointment. There were few uninspired selections. Neither of us finished our food. It was also overpriced, I had the filet and have had much better elsewhere. The highly recommended soup was OK but for $10 a bowl, I should have skipped it. We gone there many times over the years and missed the old menu... More

This is a wonderful, charming, Victorian mansion. We have stayed here several times over the years when we visited Cornell University. I am an alumna and our son is now a student there. Everything was perfect during each of our stays. I hope they continue to keep the authentic Victorian furniture in the rooms. Staff is friendly, place is clean.... More
