My boyfriend and I stayed a night at the Points East Coastal Inn over the Valentines' Day/Islander Day long weekend. We booked a winter nights' package that included skiing at the Souris Striders Ski Club, a homecooked breakfast in the morning, and a $50 Canada Food Island Gift Card. The Inn is a beautiful mix of Victorian antique with a modern flare. The Inn owners, Rodger and Sarah, have really taken pride in restoring the Inn, with the countless hours that they have put in to this beauty of a property by the Saint Peter's Bay. We felt very comfortable during our stay here. We enjoyed take-in by the cozy fireplace that evening, after being outdoors that day skiing. Rodger and Sarah were always so generous, whether they were bringing us in desserts, or sending us e-mails to help us plan where to go or pick up dinner that evening. We enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and tea that morning, brought up and left on a tray for when we woke up, and enjoyed it while taking in the gorgeous sunrise coming up over the Bay. We had the most delicious breakfast that morning. I call it a three course breakfast- where we had fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins and juice to start. Next I had a such a flavourful omelette, as my boyfriend enjoyed his eggs benedict. We finished the breakfast off with chocolate covered strawberries; a perfect touch to the Valentine's Day weekend. The china was pink as well- it was all so beautiful, and elegant- with all the other' one of a kind pieces, and own woodwork that can be seen throughout the Inn. The bedroom was very comfortable and cozy, with a newly renovated bathroom. The shower was amazing. We can't say enough good things about this Gem we found by the Bay. Highly recommended!

The owners are really helpful and accommodating. The Inn is being completely renovated but keeping the character of the original home. The rooms are all beautiful with great bathrooms. The food was wonderful and we felt spoiled. The owners went above and beyond what is normally expected to ensure we had a great stay and vacation on PEI. They were also very helpful arranging transportation during our bike trip on the Confederation Trail.

My husband and I called as we were passing through and they had availability. The house is very large and built around 1870. We stayed in the Yellow bedroom that has a queen size bed with a private bathroom with shower. I found the shower to be a little small and the pipes were quite noisy when flushing the toilet. The room had a lot of space. There was a ceiling fan and the bed was comfortable. Even though the main road is right in front we were not bothered by road noise at night. The breakfast was fantastic. We came down to an already set table. There was a bowl of fresh fruit that was very nicely displayed. Will then brought french toast and bacon. There was coffee, tea and a few juices available. Great little place and the host was very friendly. If I was passing through I would stay again.

The web site for this B & B shows an attractive property. Alas we found the property to be dilapidated and in disrepair. The grounds are un-loved. The place is for sale yet the run down presentation hardly reflects attractiveness for a potential buyer.Three bedrooms are on the first floor and each has an ensuite. The bedrooms are large. Our ensuite was built into the corner of the room. Shampoo and conditioner bottles were used and under half full. Our bed was hard. Our room was relatively dust free but the room occupied by a travelling companion had dust under the bed, under and on furniture and around the edge of the room, skirting boards, etc. We had to ask for the room to be vacuumed but the owner only produced a mop to clean with. Downstairs are two large parlours for guests to use. To me they smelt a bit musty. There are lots of interesting artefacts. No provision is available or offered for tea, coffee making or provision of a fridge to keep personal refreshment items cool. Breakfast is held in a downstairs side room. Breakfast of fresh fruit (prepared far too early and hence browning off), small muffins and blueberry pancakes was provided with tea and coffee. The coffee was reasonable. St Peters Road gets a bit of traffic though is not busy at night and we were not disturbed by traffic noise in our room at the front of the house. Tir na nOg Inn could do with a spruce up to make it more attractive as a B&B.

Very gracious host, served a wonderful breakfast at our chosen time. Room was comfortable and clean, house was decorated in period furniture. Very convenient location to explore the town. Situated along the Confederation Trail on PEI. Perfect place to stay on your cycling journey.
