I've stayed repeatedly at this hotel over the last few years and there are 3 reasons I keep coming back: 1) The staff is terrific - always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate special requests, etc and whether they can do it or not, they are very pleasant and sincere in their desire to help; 2) The rooms are very clean and comfortable and 3) Rates are usually VERY affordable, especially in comparison to other nearby hotels. I stay at the Microtel almost every time I visit Turning Stone for a show or just to play. Highly recommend!

GOOD: We managed to find a very quiet and deserted area for the six of us to play cards. Heat/ AC was easy. Staff was great especially in the buffet area. Older ex Navy fellow just helped everyone. Keys worked easily. Great time on basketball court outside. Nice to have the pool table. TV was large and had lots of stations. We wanted an easy walk to Crossgates and that it was just across the street. We wanted to be near the Comedy Club, Funny Bones.
BAD If you stay there, walk over to the Suites buffet in the morning. Real plates, bacon, omlets, just better food. Tru had weak chicken apple sausage, no bacon, Pool was closed for repair of pump. I was there two days, no swimming. More and more I find this happening when I rent hotels. Wifi did not work for one of us and the front desk could not get it to work either. Smoke detectors in rooms have a constant strobe light so in a darkened room there is constant flashing. Very annoying. Rooms were pretty small. Room alarm in two of our rooms was set to go off at 6 AM. So turn that off when you arrive. No coffee in the room. A trip to the foyer was necessary.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful and friendly. I had arrived early and they were able to get a room ready for me so I could check in early.

The room itself was spacious with a queen sized bed, a sitting area with a couch, and a countertop with barstools, a microwave, small sink and mini fridge.

The downside to this hotel is that the walls are paper thin. I woke up to my upstairs neighbors talking and I could hear them moving around the room at 3AM. I called the front desk and they said they would take care of it and sure enough it did quiet down. Additionally, I could clearly hear my next door neighbors arguing next door.

The hotel is right down the road from the casino and offers shuttle service (which I did not utilize). They also had a standard continental breakfast in the morning (waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, donuts).

internet didn't work for me, breakfast was good but on the slim side. The staff was very professional and courteous and went out of their way to take care of the patrons any way they could. Overall though, decent stay.

Good location in relation to casino. Easy to find if you are travelling from a long distance away like me. Room was very quaint and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bed was comfy and clean, slept well. The shower stall was very nice but the shower head was an old one. The way the glass is set up it cannot be moved. While this is for safety and looks nice I had to stand under cold shower spray for a good minute waiting for the water to heat up. Otherwise no issues and they did a good job!

I see that a previous reviewer complained about the size of the room and the lack of a fridge and microwave. What the reviewer did not say was that those are all options. I did not want a big room with all the amenities. I wanted a clean and fresh room with a comfortable bed and full bathroom and I wanted to save money. I got exactly that and more. The staff were attentive and welcoming and the continental breakfast with waffle maker was a bonus.

The beds were very comfortable and the entire hotel appeared to be very clean. The free buffet breakfast is limited, but coffee and tea are free all day. Good service, very close to Turning Stone casino and golf courses.

Close enough to the casino, friendly staff decent enough rooms. Easy check in and check out. Would stay again for the price well worth it. Beds were good tv a little outdated and small but made up for by friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was not anything extra exciting but fresh hot and on time so worth it if you are up.

This hotel used to be Microtel but has been purchased by Turning Stone. It is a very nice Property, rooms are clean, fully equipped bathroom and offers a mini fridge and microwave. The room was very clean and the staff both friendly and knowledgeable. So why the 3 star… check out time is 11am. We had an appointment at TS Skana Spa earlier and it started late. We had already packed most of our stuff into the car. We get back to the hotel shortly after 11am as it is just a 4 min drive to Turning Stone and I cannot find my car key anywhere. It was obvious the staff had already been into the room and stripped the beds etc. so I am looking for 20 mins and panicking. I thought well it’s either in one of my bags or lost in the laundry. I then decided to go check out and am presented with our belongings… including the car keys I have just spent 20 mins looking for! I did question why the staff would do this and go nowhere so once I was in my car I called the front desk and the guy who answered tried to tell me it was done because we were a late check up at 1127 and I retorted that was because I spent 20 mins looking for my car keys!! So in terms of staying-yes absolutely do but be mindful that you could have your belongings confiscated at 1101am!

I was attending my daughters’s wedding and I selected this location specifically because of the pet friendly hotel. The other properties associated with the Turning Stone Casino didn’t allow pets. This property noise level was unbelievable and never resolved the two nights I was there. In addition, I was notified not once, not twice, but three times from a male staff member informing me my dog all of 6lbs and 2 ounces. Was barking ferociously and I needed to return to pick her up. I explained each time I was attending my daughters wedding. Apparently my daughters wedding didn’t matter. Needless to say my pet returned home approximately 40 minutes way causing some family members to not be able participate in the wedding. Furthermore, my spouse didn’t stay overnight in order to be home with our pet. Very disappointing and I would not recommend this property, even if you don’t have pets. The noise level was unbearable and not addressed.

Disappointed Father of the bride.

The hotel does not but Uber/Lyft is typically available on the weekends for quick, cheap transportation to the casino. It's roughly $7 each way.
