Just come back from 2 night stay and had a great time, very good food and great beer (Woodforde's Wherry )and the rooms are very clean and well appointed and the Angel Inn is in a great location and a good place to stay to visit other places in Suffolk. Looking forward to a return visit

We visited here whilst staying in a nearby farmhouse and booked a large party of us in advance. Most of us had roast dinner but all of the food - starters, mains and puddings were so delicious. The sticky toffee pudding in particular was absolutely amazing. Reasonably priced too and a real warm welcome from everyone there. Including Malibu Heartthrob...

Had a fantastic few days away we were made to feel so welcome by Christine and Peter, and all the staff, so much so that we extended our stay. The food was delicious, and there was so many interesting places to go. We will defiantly be returning.

Great few days away at The Angel Inn. We were made to feel very welcome by Peter and Christine. The food on both nights was top drawer and Peter's impromptu quiz night for all the guests was very enjoyable. We were made to feel very comfortable and as a result most of the guests chatted away both during the evening...

Beautiful rooms, lovely breakfast- the black pudding and scrambled egg was my favourite, great attentive staff and a lovely country pub for dinner and drinks. thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. the steak and ale pie was lovely and the prawn and smoked salmon cocktail was equally as good.

My first experience of the Angel Inn was from watching them complete with three other establishments on a re-run of the popular TV competition 'Four In A Bed in which they came a very close second. I wanted to take my wife away for her 53rd birthday, so liking what I had seen, booked a three nights stay. We were...

On arrival with my wife, we were delighted to discover that the inn "prides" itself on "home cooked" food "including line caught beer battered cod". When at the bar, there was a menu saying that we are to ask the bar staff about the "flavour" of the "home made" pies that they do (odd wording in my opinion). I asked...

Thank you for taking the time to write to highlight any area where we can improve. Firstly we must apologise fully for any poor service -we were very busy that evening but that does not excuse a situation as you describe. There may have been a miscommunication between staff about the beer -the barman thinking 'there was a new Wherry...

We have had a lovely stay at the Angel Inn. Our room was so beautiful and comfortable. Far better than more expensive hotels! Our hosts were so kind and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The location is ideal for Southwold and other neighbouring locations. Would not hesitate to recommend.

"Would you mind if I write about the ghosts?", I asked Christine. "I think they'll attract just as many people as they'll put off." So, with Christine's approval, I can tell you The Angel at Wangford is haunted. Her husband and co-host Peter will tell of the time he was cashing up late at night and a gentleman dressed in...
